My Demon... Movie review
My Demon is a fantasy-spiritual South Korean drama series, that revolves around a sham marriage between a heiress and a demon who had lost his powers.
Jung Gu-won, played by Song Kang, was a demon who had lived for decades on Earth, making contracts with humans who were helpless. He made deals with people at the cost of their souls and took them to hell once the deal was fulfilled. But Gu-won's fate took a surprising and drastic turn after he met Do Do-hee.
Do Do-hee was the successor of a conglomerate's future group. She was an independent and hard-working young lady, but lost her parents at a tender age. Regardless, the woman her father worked for when he was alive—Joo Cheon-sook (Kim Hae-sook) took Do-hee in as her grandchild and took care of her.
Joo Cheon-sook had children she didn’t trust at all hence, made Do-hee the next leader of her prestigious company. But Do Do-hee was hated by the children of Cheon-sook, they felt threatened by Do-hee as she was loved deeply by their Cheon-sook and shared a tight bind with her .

To protect herself from danger, Do-hee, as the next heir of the future group, entered a contract marriage with Gu-won. Gu-won, on the other hand, had no option than to agree because his powers mysteriously got transferred to Do Do-hee. And for his survival, he had to ensure the well-being of Do Do-hee until he figured out a way to get his powers back. But this was just the beginning of what seemed like unending battles. They had to work together to triumph!
My Demon has so many twists added to it, it’s an "enemies to lovers" trope. The added twists made the series an even more entertaining and thrilling one.
Drops of lighthearted jokes were added also throughout the series and a heartfelt romance wasn't left out.
A blend of romance, love and fantasy. I definitely recommend— 8/10. Available to watch on Loklok.
