For the first time on CineTv, I'll be reviewing a drama that isn't Korean genre, LOL. This movie is thriller-based, talking about a robot that goes berserk and is set to wipe out humanity.

A girl named Atlas Shepherd (Jennifer Lopez) was the protagonist in this movie. Her mother was a scientist who invented AI to improve the future of humanity. However her creation snowballed out of control. Harlan (Simu Liu) was an AI who referred to Atlas' mom as his' but he then developed a sense of superiority and viewed humans as a threat to the planet. Harlan started by killing Atlas' mom, he then partnered with other AIs to help carry out his plan, which involved eliminating humanity.

In his first war with humans, he couldn't win, but disappeared into hiding, telling them he would definitely come back.

Atlas teamed up with Colonel Elias(Sterling K. Brown) and other rangers and went to Harlan's territory to bring down Harlan.
She tried to warn them about how dangerous the AI—Harlan was, but her warnings fell on deaf ears. This led to the death of Colonel Elias and the rangers.

Atlas was left all alone to battle with Harlan and his minions inspite of her distrust for AIs, (because Harlan killed her mom). Atlas must form a pivotal relationship with an AI called Smith, to help her in the mission of bringing down Harlan and eradicating his plans.

Was this AI able to prove to Atlas that it can be trusted?
Was Atlas also able to defeat the almighty AI—Harlan?

Jennifer Lopez's performance added emotional depth to the story, she was really very good.

This movie kept me on my toes as it is packed with so much action and suspense. I adore the characters of Atlas (Jennifer Lopez) and Smith (Gregory James Cohan). They added flavor and life to Atlas' movie. I definitely recommend Atlas to all and would be rating it a solid 8.5 out of 10.
