Flower of Evil: Movie Review
The movie series "Flower of Evil" is a Korean movie by Lee Joon-gi. The movie is practically a reflection of how our past can serve as a stumbling block to our progress, particularly if our parents don't have a good reputation, just like Lee Joon Gi in the movie. Lee Joon Gi, as Do Hyeon Su in the movie, suffers consequences for his actions in the movie. He was said to have killed the village head, and in the later part of the movie, we get to know that he abused Do Hyeon Su to take possession of his father's property, particularly funds, to his advantage. It turns out that Hyeon Su's sister is the perpetrator of the crime, but for Hyeon Su to protect his sister, he has to take responsibility since they were just the two at the crime scene.

Later in the movie, we got to know that the village's head had wanted to take advantage of Hyeon's sister.
The movie is also a reflection of society's stereotypes. It was concluded that Hyeon Su was evil just because his father was suspected to be a serial killer. Hyeon Su spends most of his life living under a false identity. The funny thing is that he was taken in by the family of his greatest persecutors. He knew who killed his father. To make the case worse, he got married to a detective who loved him so dearly and wanted to spend the rest of her life with him.
Hyeon couldn't continue to live a good life when his past came to haunt him like a plague. His life has refused to be the same ever since he met with the reporter, who happened to be his long-term friend. The reporter, who knows Hyeon and what he has done in the past, couldn't help but feel in awe of the situation. However, as the movie progresses, he makes his contribution by helping Hyeon Su in the pursuit of the truth, even though he has some doubts about him.
At the beginning of the movie, the reporter and Hyeon's sister are known to be in love, though they fell out of love when the former couldn't bear the shame of the latter's family. However, the reporter happened to fall in love once more when their paths crossed. He trusted Hae So and thought it could work between them one more time. He feels like they should start over. He later learns that Hae So is the one who murdered the village's head and not Hyeon Su, as he had thought.
In short, the movie is a combination of love, family, hatred and unity. It proved the test of love between Hyeon Su and his wife. Cha Ji Won turned out to be a good wife who would do anything to protect her husband at all costs. This is also similar to Baek Hee Soon, as they are ready to do anything just to make sure their son gets away with all his crimes. They had wanted to punish Hyeon Su for owning the fact that his father was seen to be the one who had made their son go awry.
The movie ends on a happy note for the detective and his husband, as they are seen reconciling in the end. Do Hae So too survive the brutal attack. The reporter and Do Hae So are also seen to have a good time together. Baek Hee soon gets what he deserves, as justice prevails.
Flower of Evil is an interesting and breathtaking movie series that one will surely like. I was glued to the end while watching it. It is a movie that I can recommend.
I remember watching this but couldn't really recall all of the plot. Nice to see it being highlighted, I mean it's one of the best of its genre.
It's a nice movie series to watch.
I had the opportunity to see her in January
I loved the plot, sometimes a little melodramatic, for me it's a 7.
They are those series that go from less to more.
The song is a marvel interpreted by Lim Yeon - In My Heart.
