Surely you've heard about of The Walking Dead but: do you already know its cinematic universe? The acclaimed zombie series set in a world reaching apocalypse due to an epidemiological plague was first aired in 2010 leaving over time a sequel of spin-offs that would later create the TWDU (The Walking Dead Universe). Seguro has oído hablar de The Walking Dead pero, ¿conoces ya su universo cinematográfico? La aclamada serie de zombies ambientada en un mundo que llega al apocalipsis debido a una plaga epidemiológica se emitió por primera vez en el año 2010 dejando con el paso del tiempo una secuela de spin-offs que crearían más adelante el TWDU (The Walking Dead Universe). Like the series and movies of the UCM (Marvel Cinematic Universe), TWDU is made up of a set of series that follows the synopsis of how the world has almost come to an end as we know it, ravaged by a disease that revives the dead cells of the human brain and reactivates the corpse of people suffering from decomposition. Under this condition, various survivors around the world struggle to survive facing different challenges as they group together in different territories and communities.
Como las series y películas del UCM (Universo Cinematográfico de Marvel), el TWDU es conformado por un conjunto de series que sigue la sinopsis de cómo el mundo llegó casi a su fin tal y como lo conocemos, arrasado por una enfermedad que revive las células muertas del cerebro humano y reactiva el cadáver de las personas que sufren de descomposición. Bajo esta condición, varios supervivientes alrededor del mundo luchan por sobrevivir afrontando diferentes desafíos a medida que se agrupan en diferentes territorios y comunidades.
Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln) is the central character of the story, but not the main one, along with Daryl (Norman Reedus), Carol (Melissa McBride), Michonne (Danai Gurira), Glenn (Steven Yeun), Father Gabriel (Seth Gillianm), Morgan Jones (Lennie James) and Shane (Jon Bernthal) in supporting roles. Other actors joining the cast include Michael Cudlitz, Khary Payo¡ton, Cooper Andrews, Samantha Morton, Michael Rooker, Avi Nash and Lauren Cohan from seasons 2 and 4. Although the mother series of this whole chain of television events is The Walking Dead, a more scientific explanation to the cause is sought in the series Fear The Walking Dead premiered in 2015 and The Walking Dead: World Beyond from 2020, featuring different new characters and stories for all ages.

Aunque la serie madre de toda esta cadena de sucesos televisivos es The Walking Dead, se busca dar una explicación más científica a la causa en la serie Fear The Walking Dead estrenada en 2015 y The Walking Dead: World Beyond de 2020, presentando diferentes personajes nuevos y historias para todas edades.
The word zombie is not mentioned in any chapter to date, so these "dead" are known as walkers, although the term varies according to the culture and region of the characters in each series. In these main shows, many ethnicities, genres and countries are included, showing not only the North American side of what we are all used to seeing in movies of this type, but they go beyond.
La palabra zombie no es mencionada en ningún capítulo hasta la fecha, por lo que se les conoce a estos “muertos” como caminantes, aunque el término varía según la cultura y región de los personajes de cada serie. En estos shows principales, se hace inclusión de muchas etnias, géneros y países mostrando no sólo el lado norteamericano de lo que estamos todos acostumbrados de ver en las pelis de este tipo, sino, que se van más allá.
There are characters that have a leading role but are not in tune with the characters we are fond of from the beginning, those we can call villains, among them Jeffrey D. Morgan as Negan, Colman Domingo (Victor Strand) and Colbi Minifie (Virginia). We are adapted to see that the main or the character who appears most on screen is the "good guy", but this series breaks all those schemes, even going so far as to state that the good guys are not the ones who have the leading or supporting role, but that is better to see it than to read it.
Existen personajes que tienen un papel protagónico pero no se encuentran en sintonía con los personajes a los que les cogemos cariño desde el principio, a los que podemos denominar villanos, entre ellos a Jeffrey D. Morgan como Negan, Colman Domingo (Victor Strand) y Colbi Minifie (Virginia). Estamos adaptados a ver que el principal o el personaje que más aparece en pantalla es el “bueno”, pero esta serie rompe todos esos esquemas, llegando incluso a afirmar que los buenos no son los que tienen el papel protagónico o secundario, pero eso sí es mejor verlo que leerlo.
The parent series ends giving way to new characters and new stories to develop, leaving room for more content that is complemented by old characters, including the most recently released Daryl Dixon set in France and Dead Island with events in Manhattan. For young people we also have one, but it's even the one that comes closest to the origin of this plague, still maintaining the tone of its predecessors, as well as delving a little deeper into wildlife, the supernatural and religion in a series of shorts called Tales of The Walking Dead.
La serie matriz termina dándole paso a nuevos personajes y nuevas historias a desarrollarse, dejando espacio para más contenido que es complementado por viejos personajes, entre ellas, de las más recientemente estrenadas Daryl Dixon ambientada en Francia y Dead Island con sucesos en Manhattan. Para jóvenes también tenemos una, pero incluso es la que más se acerca al origen de esta plaga, aún manteniendo el tono de sus predecesoras, además de profundizar un poco más en la fauna, lo sobrenatural y la religión en una serie de cortos llamada Tales of The Walking Dead.
The saga continues in the following series that will premiere soon, bringing together all these characters, or rather, the remaining ones, alternating in different series (as happens in the Arrowverse, the DCEU and MCU) until concluding the story in Rick & Michonne series and the yet to be confirmed season 12 of The Walking Dead where it is estimated to close the cycle that began in 2010. All of them contain a lot of drama, action scenes, extreme violence, suspense and terror in their chapters, which will make you enjoy a well-produced and well-constructed story for audiences of different ages.
La saga continúa en las siguientes series que se estrenarán pronto, reuniendo todos estos personajes, o más bien, los que quedan, alternándose en diferentes series (como ocurre en el Arrowverse, el DCEU y MCU) hasta concluir la historia de los muertos caminantes en Rick & Michonne y la temporada 12 aún sin confirmar de The Walking Dead donde se estima que cierre el ciclo que comenzó en el 2010. Todas contienen mucho drama, escenas de acción, violencia extrema, suspenso y terror en sus capítulos, que te harán disfrutar en gran medida de una historia bien producida y construida para públicos de distintas edades.
By creator Robert Kirkman (The Invincible), The Walking Dead is an excellent TV series to enjoy at home, which will captivate you with its spectacular story out of the traditional and numerous special effects that surpass the movies of the moment. It's fascinating how this series has evolved and expanded over the years while maintaining a large audience. And all, even though, the differences between the series and Robert Kirkman's comic book, are multiple.
However, the scriptwriters' ability to adapt and creativity keeps the audience in suspense; an example is the character of Daryl Dixon, one of the most popular characters in the series, who does not exist in the comics.
Dixon's character is one of my favorite ones, not saying the best hahahha but he have taken a big community despite it's non-canonic comic book origin.

Una serie muy buena donde la comencé a ver y paré, sin embargo ya logre completar y valió la pena cada segundo, donde esa combinación de elementos, zombie y acción permite que sea todo un gran éxito, además esa tensión cada vez va subiendo y permite que sea increíble y muy interesante. Genial que hayas disfrutado de esta gran producción y compartirlo con nosotros.
¡Es un placer haber comentado al respecto! A mí me pareció genial todo, las temporadas que más me fascinaron fueron la 1, 5, 6, 7, 9 y 11, destacando el capítulo 14 de esta última.
Tengo una frustración con esta serie porque han tardado demasiado en traer los capítulos de la temporada 11 a Netflix, estoy que busco los que me faltan ver por otros lares, cada personaje tenía o tiene su encanto, algunos hubiera querido continuaran, es una serie que engancha, ya que muestra como el que seguirá una enfermedad o situación en la que desaparezcan las instituciones del Estado como las conocemos haría aflorar en muchos casos lo peor de los seres humanos, el que prevaleciera, la ley del más fuerte.
Es muy buena, la verdad. Me alegro de que te guste, desconozco acerca del streaming de la misma a través de Netflix, pero puedes probar a verla vía amc+. Saludos.
