Movie review: The Super Mario Bros Movie (2023) - A Nostalgic Journey That Falls Short

I never knew super mario were planning a big franchise until I saw this new movie of the Super Mario Bros Movie, released in 2023, from the Nintendo game world.. The movie was directed by Aaron Horvath and Michael Jelenic and produced by Shigeru Miyamoto,Chris Meledandri.. For the nintendo game lovers, would understand what this movie will be like even without watching because you already have the insight of how the game looks like.

Originally, I am a fan of movies which has lots of adventure and suspense in it and not just movies that gets boring along the line. This movie has proven to me that watching some animated movie can make you have fun time and it's not just about the animation but what they deliver to the audience watching it..

This movie lies on mario and Luigi who happen to be brothers and have always done many things together right from their childhood.. They promised themselves not to leave each other no matter what went wrong and always have each others back.. Mario and Luigi acted so superb, making me so dazed and attracted to watching the movie till the end..

This movie lies around the tales of mario and Luigi who were caught up in the mushroom Kingdom. They were there in the kingdom, when they heard about the the nefarious browser who has been tormenting the mushroom Kingdom and trying to take over their land by making sure he get married to the princess.. Then mario and the princess had to go on a quest to save the world.

There is one thing I find so fascinating about how this movie was done, for those that were familiar with the game super mario will understand the movie and all what was done there because it was an adventurous one and full of quest which were to be completed if they are to get the hidden treasure they seek in the other kingdom that is their enemy..

Some of the part I feel in love with in the movie were the graphics, the mushroom Kingdom and those living therein, the toads and the colour effects used from the beginning to the end.. The sound track brings back old memories of the super mario game and also an epic moment I really love in the movie was when super mario and the princess went to source for help from the Kong army.

Super mario been the stronger one and full of wisdom had to prove his worth if he really wants the Kong army to go with them to fight to save the world.. Mario agreed to fight the donkey Kong but was scarred because he was a big creature. After some rounds of fight, the super mario was able to get stronger to fight and he fought the donkey Kong but before he was able to defeat the donkey Kong, he was beaten and was asked if he has had enough and he didn't give up and he said Not even close.

Some of the actors in the movie are; Chris Pratt as Mario and Charlie Day as Luigi, Black as Bowser, Anya Taylor-Joy as Princess Peach, and Keegan-Michael Key as Toad, and many others. I really love every aspect of the movie from the beginning to the end because it makes me remember the time past and gave me a lot of fun moment while I was watching..

In conclusion, The Super Mario Bros Movie (2023) is an amazing movie that I would really love to watch some other time again because it brings the fantasy of fun in a small space to a wider form making it easy for most people to see what it is Nintendo game has done because I know not everyone had access to playing the game.. Tho, there was flaw a bit, trust me, it is still at the peak and I would rate the acting 8/10 because it worth it.. There is always more room to do better just because we keep upgrading everytime and day..
