Movie Review: "Battle on Buka Street" by Funke Akindele
If you have been watching movies, especially the ones done by Funke akindele a Nigerian actresses, you will be able to know the way this movie I want to share will look like already. The reason for saying that is because, she is full with much energy and also has the charisma that drives people to watching her movies. I could remember vividly watching one of her movies which is titled Jenifer's diary, the role she took was amazing and the way she acted the movie was more like one is in the reality.

The movie Battle on Buka Street is a Nigerian Nollywood movie directed and produced by Funke akindele herself and also mercy Johnson which the both of them took the lead role in the movie.
This movie is full of comedy, action, suspense and lots more. Funke akindele has been known for her big vibes in movies, she always make sure her impact shows more in any movie she is in. This movie might not be a reality, but trust me, when you watch it, you feel more like you are in the reality. Buka street is a place where food vendors are located. It comprises of different seller of different varieties of food which no one is disturbed by anyone. But the rivalry by Tina Mba (Ezinne) and Sola Sobowale (Asake) led to their children which is Funke akindele (yejide) and Mercy Johnson Okojie (Awele). This rivalry continues right from birth of this two children till they grew old. No one could caution them, because their parents have poisoned their mind toward one another.

I got entangled with this movie because of the comedy aspect and the action packed scenes where Funke akindele and her enemy mercy Johnson displayed a lot of comedy at Avery point they find themselves. Funke Akindele's talent is more than just acting because she really show to people that she knows what she is doing and not just a mere actress. The combination of Funke akindele and mercy Johnson is a strong one for this movie also some other cast, including actors like Nkem Owoh(Maduka), Collins Muonago(Young Maduka (as Muonago Collins), Tobi Makinde, Mike Afolarin(Akinzo) and some new actors which supported in making the movie an enjoyable one to watch..
One aspect I love mostly about this movie is the hilarious and banter among Funke akindele and Mercy Johnson. At some point, I was getting scared for the both of them because they fight at any point which they had their chances to the extent that they fought in the midst of the market and scattered the things which people are selling. This part kept me engaged throughout the movie.

This movie is talks more about tribe diversity and also union between two tribes where two mothers from different tribes and culture came together to marry one man with from another tribe.. It touches every aspect, like culture, tradition, values, way of life and many more. Much efforts has been added to this movie to make it what it is today and I am sure it worth every time used to watch it. Alot of people are still struggling to watch this movie, even myself, I have watch this movie twice in a day to show how much delight I got from it..

Despite how interesting and hilarious the movie is, there are still some aspect which I believe they can still work on or let me say there need improvement in some aspect like, at some point while I was watching the movie, I predicted how the movie was going to end which later happened and that was because I keyed myself into the movie and also I was in line with the director. For a more standard movie like this, one should be able to predict what the end of the movie will be but I was not bothered about that so much because I was entertained.
If I am to rate this movie, I would give it 8/10. Why I am giving it this is because, the director was able to carry me along by making me understand every part of the scene and there by not making me get tired of watching at all cost. The cinematography is topnotch, the settings and also the level of grammatical expression there are very encouraging for even little kids and adult to watch.
