Black Noise || An Absolute Disappointment

There's nothing as bad as watching a movie that doesn't relate to the genre attached to it.

It's Friday, a perfect day for movies. I've been doing lots of romance lately and decided to do thrillers and action movies this time. This movie website recommended the movie "Black Noise". I checked the genre and it said; Action, Thriller and Sci-Fi. I was delighted as those were the exact movie genre I wanted plus the poster seemed nice.

Plot

This movie started with some random dude running Helter skelter in the woods, blood painted all over him, he had cuts on which of course would intrigue anyone watching as the person would love to know what the hell was chasing the dude and what kind of sword fight he had previously engaged in that sustained him such deep cuts. After running around, he successfully got out of the woods to an open environment and there he was blown up.

Five members of an elite security team were sent to the same place, I guess they were sent to rescue people as some supernatural shit was troubling the environment. They died one after another after going through some hearing and hallucinating problems save one of the guys called Jordan who survived it because he seemed immune to the screeching sound or hallucinations the others had. After the others died, he had to fight with the alien look-alike creatures which disappeared into thin air after he shot them all. He ended up finding the boat that brought them to the island and tried rowing away but everywhere around him was filled with high waters and no land in sight.

My Rating:

The only thing I'd rate a five here is the cinematography, every other thing, from the plot to the way the movie came to a close sucks! I mean after this review, I have to go to Google to find out what the eff really happened there. From the plot I've given so far, I bet it's just as confusing for you too. Cause how does this relate to action? In my opinion this movie is annoyingly horrific and a little bit of a thriller because yeah, it does evoke a question like; "what will happen next?" But then, the "What?" Is left hanging as there's no answer anywhere. Except Google has it though.

These security team members just cried, killed themselves, and hallucinated. The one who seemed like the hero was left stuck in the middle of a vast ocean. I'm pissed I wasted data on such a piece of shit. I wanted to take it off after it ran for some minutes without giving me a clue of what's going on, but changed my mind thinking that maybe as it draws its ending there'd be something near a hint but nope, a total waste of time and data.

For the characters,I think they all looked their parts, hallucination really looked good on them. Soundtrack was amazing to accompany the nonsense they were doing. Raising guns and moving around, bleeding in the ear and lots other annoying things.

All in all, I'd give it a 2.5/10.
