Do you believe in second chances? Although that question can be for any area of life, such as love, work, studies or others, I mean to think if a person can really change, if you can improve as a person and if the answer is yes, how would you reform? Well, the truth is that I do believe in forgiveness, second chances and that people can improve and that there are many ways to make a person change his life, and that is why, when I saw Sing Sing, I had to write immediately about a movie that changes you once you have seen it, which is also based on a true story and brings with it an interesting proposal that I personally find as surprising as the movie itself.

Aunque esa pregunta puede ser para cualquier ámbito de la vida, como el amor, el trabajo, los estudios o demás, me refiero a pensar si una persona puede realmente cambiar, si puede mejorar como persona y si la respuesta es sí, ¿Cómo se reformaría? Bueno, la verdad es que yo si creo en el perdón, las segundas oportunidades y que las personas pueden mejorar y que hay muchas formas de hacer que una persona cambie su vida, y por eso, al ver Sing Sing, tuve que escribir inmediatamente sobre una película que te cambia una vez la hayas visto, que además es basada en una historia real y trae consigo una propuesta interesante que en lo personal me parece tan sorprendente como la película en sí.

Sing Sing tells the true story of Divine G, an inmate who joins the Sing Sing reformation program, where people in prison can reduce their sentence by attending drama classes. This story is really very interesting because we get to see the characters being completely vulnerable, and, honestly, few things break my heart as much as seeing people being vulnerable, people who open up about their problems without fear of being judged for it, and in that way, create a bond with their peers or friends in a more intimate way. I like that, and the fact that I watched the film with my dad made me feel the film in a different way, as if somehow the images were speaking to me.

Sing sing nos cuenta la historia real de Divine G, un preso que se une al programa de reformación Sing Sing, dónde las personas que están en esa prisión pueden reducir su sentencia asistiendo a clases de teatro. Esta historia es realmente muy interesante porque podemos ver a los personajes siendo completamente vulnerables, y, sinceramente, pocas cosas me parten tanto el corazón como ver a personas siendo vulnerables, gente que se abre a hablar de sus problemas sin miedo a ser juzgados por eso, y de esa forma, crear un lazo con sus compañeros o amigos de una forma más íntima. Eso me gusta, y el hecho de haber visto la película con mi papá me hizo sentir la película de otra forma, como si de alguna forma las imágenes me estuviesen hablando a mí.
