RISKING IT ALL
Written & produced by Sandra Okunzuwa, who also stars as Zara, this movie tells the story of love, obstacles that come with it, and the triumph in the end.
PLOT SUMMARY
Zara Karim (as mentioned above) crossed paths with Kayden ‘KK’ (played by Timini Egbuson) on campus during their university days, where she was studying law and he was studying Creative Arts.
Being from two different worlds, their love, which developed after much persuasion and persistence from Kayden, would blossom but was forbidden, especially by Zara’s father, who is a legal luminary himself.
An unfortunate incident would further put their love to the test. Will love conquer all things in this story, or will the lovers be defeated?

MY THOUGHTS
In this day and age where it appears like we’ve seen all there is to be seen as far as movies are concerned, it takes a lot for viewers to find something fresh and new about a movie. Kudos to those bringing us unique storylines through brilliant storytelling.
This movie not only has a long runtime that could have been shorter, it is equally predictable and a replicate of movies we’ve seen before.
The two lead roles (Timini and Sandra) nevertheless did amazing in their role interpretation. The plot, costume, makeup, props, and setting were also impressive. However, the sounds sometimes interfered with the audio.
I find that the poster and the title of the movie are somewhat misleading. Personally, when I saw the thumbnail, I immediately made up a plot where a lawyer is the defense counsel or prosecutor for/against her lover having to choose between “love or the law!”
This movie turned out to be a far cry from that. We only saw the lead actress later on working in a legal firm wearing mostly black and white and her dad using mighty vocabularies whilst speaking. We did not see any court proceedings or meetings of that nature as suggested in the poster.
Be that as it may, this was nonetheless interesting to watch. If you’re a person who likes easy movies that do not require any brainstorming or one that challenges your intellect, then here’s a film for you, otherwise you can spend your two hours in something more worth your time.
Thanks for stopping by.
