GENRE: Drama. Crime thriller

STARRING: Tobi bakre. Adesua Etomi. Bimbo Adeyemo. Child Osebuka. Pasuma. Chioma Chukwuka

PLOT
This movie tells the story of rival gangs ruled by Olorogun and Eleniyqn. No one dared tread in the territory of the other and the rule was to never hurt fellow family members.

Greed set in and the one who was to take over from the ruling Eleniyan was brutally murdered, and his death was followed by a massacre which had never before been witnessed.

Years later, his son is set to avenge him but he must first find his killer and he needs the help of rival gangs.

MY THOUGHTS
Gangs Of Lagos did all that it set out to do and even more. We saw the buildup of the story line, every 'i' was dotted and every 't' crossed.
Jade Osiberu did great with the cast, as always.

The last battle though, where they all went to the party, the shootout looked a little off. I still am yet to understand how Olorogun and Kazeem did not suspect that anything was coming and also how Ekun & Gift were shooting wildly like they had never handled guns before. I mean, that was supposed to be the final battle and all of their pose and games should be almost impeccable.

CHARACTER DESCRIPTION
Adesua : She always delivers. But somehow, i don't understand her hairstyle. It seemed to have tilted her face and head to the side.

Tobi Bakre: He really has gotten a hang of this acting thing. He deserves an award. Too many great improvement from Brotherhood

Chike: Was good. Did what he could but his career as a musician is more suiting.

Bimbo Adeyemo: Is deserving of every accolade she gets. Girl eats her roles. There's been some comparisons about her pulling off Adesuas role. I don't know how well she'd have bodied it and I don't think i agree.

Chioma Chukwuka: Ever showing what acting truly is. Touche!

Toyin Abraham. Well, well, well, she could have done better.

The rest acts were terrific; Zlatan. Ekun. Iyabo ojo. Mr Macaroni and others.
The Ikorodu boys and child actors were delightful to watch.

SIGN-OUT WORDS
Gangs of Lagos is yet another great movie that is tilting Nigeria and Africa in the spotlight. Might be just a movie but it also is a pictorial representation of our lives. The mismanagement of our country by our leaders. It is a story of misdirected actions, torn dreams and eventual consequences. Shedding light on various themes as political godfatherism, child thuggery, electoral manipulation and many more.
Nollywodd is here, doing a superb job and we are telling our story ourselves.

Do I recommend? Of course, Yes.
Rating. 8/10
