Hello to all anime lovers! I hadn't appeared here for a while ha ha and what better way to come back than to tell you about a movie I saw recently, which is based on a very popular anime called Gantz. I confess that these types of stories full of action and blood are not the ones that call my attention, but as soon as I found out that the mangaka Hiroya Oku was the author of this work, I wanted to see it, since one of his stories (HEN: Strange Love) if I consider it one of my favorites of all time. Gantz's plot is basically about a series of people who, after dying in different ways, end up in a room where a black sphere gives them indications of the creatures they have to annihilate, providing them with special suits that They give super strength and different weapons. Through this survival game, players at the end of the counter (which indicates how long the "mission" can last), will receive a series of points that will depend on their performance and eliminated objectives. These points allow players to access different types of prizes that range from improvements to their suits, weapons, vehicles, reviving a dead teammate or returning the player himself to life. Only this macabre "game" is not easy at all, since the monsters to be eliminated are bloodthirsty and if the players are not careful enough, they can "die", being taken out of the game and sent to an unknown place, with no chance to revive. As expected, they cannot refuse to enter the game.

Knowing the general concept of the plot, we can talk about what the movie is about. In Gantz: O, we meet Masaru Kato, a responsible and altruistic high school boy who ends up being murdered in a subway station on his way home, after trying to help one of the attacker's victims. Once the boy wakes up completely confused in a strange room, he is accosted by the other people there. Knowing in this way Suzuki, a very calm older man, who tries to bring him up to date on the situation, informing him that indeed, he has passed away. With him, there is usually Reika, a young woman with an elusive and suspicious look, as well as Nigi, who would be the "bad boy" who always wants to do things alone and thinks that others will they are a hindrance.

At first, Kato can't process so much information, much less believe that he's dead, but after being teleported to the "game site" and living firsthand the experience of having to fight horrible monsters that attack the city, the The young man has no choice but to do everything possible to move on, with the sole purpose of returning home and reuniting with his younger brother.

[click to read my opinion] As I mentioned at the beginning, I'm not a fan of this type of plot, but it's mostly because I don't like gore or battles, but I can make exceptions when the series has bizarre stories like this. In the case of the movie as such, it helped me to remember a little about what the anime was about so as not to get lost and to my surprise, I really liked it. I really loved Kato's character, always striving to do the right thing, no matter if he is at risk for it. Noble characters like this one are my favorites, so the fact that he was basically the lead kept me more hooked. Especially when in the end, after so much massacre, he continues to preserve his altruistic spirit.
I loved the animation, it's simply beautiful to see the expressions and movements of the characters and those looks that transmit his emotions to you. The hair of the characters, it's magnificent, I wish my hair stayed as combed as the girls throughout the movie ha ha
Speaking of the female characters, I have a conflict with them... I know that Hiroya Oku is well known for the way he drew women, even in the manga that I like "HEN", what is most appreciated is the voluptuousness of its protagonist but the excessive sexualization, becomes uncomfortable in this film, at least for me, it was difficult to keep attention in the drama seeing a pair of breasts moving as if they were water balloons ha ha
But, aside from that fact, I think it's an exciting film, visually incredible and with characters that you get hooked on to the point of wanting to take care of them all or at least that's what happened to me ha ha I recommend it if you don't They have seen, like the anime, which I hope to pick up as soon as I can.

¡Hola a todos los amantes del anime! Tenía tiempo sin aparecer por aquí ja ja y qué mejor para mi regreso que hablarles de una película que vi hace poco, la cual está basada en un anime muy popular llamado Gantz. Confieso que éste tipo de historias llenas de acción y sangre, no son de las que me llamen la atención, pero en cuanto supe que el mangaka Hiroya Oku, era el autor de ésta obra, quise verlo, ya que una de sus historias (HEN: Strange Love) si la considero de mis favoritas de todos los tiempos. Aunque las tramas entre ambas, no tiene nada que ver ja ja

La trama de Gantz básicamente se trata de una serie de personas que luego de morir de diferentes modos, acaban en una habitación en donde una esfera negra, les da las indicaciones de las criaturas que tienen que aniquilar, proporcionándoles para ellos unos trajes especiales que les dan súper fuerza y distintas armas. A través de éste juego de supervivencia, los jugadores al finalizar el contador (el cual indica cuánto es lo máximo que puede durar la "misión"), recibirán una serie de puntos que dependerán de su desempeño y objetivos eliminados. Estos puntos, les permiten a los jugadores acceder a diferentes tipos de premios que van desde mejoras en sus trajes, armamentos, vehículos, revivir a un compañero muerto o volver el propio jugador a la vida. Sólo que éste "juego" macabro, no es para nada sencillo, dado que los monstruos a eliminar, tienen sed de sangre y si los jugadores no son lo suficientemente cautelosos, pueden "morir", siendo sacados de juego y enviados a un lugar desconocido, sin la posibilidad de revivir. Como era de esperarse, no pueden negarse a entrar en el juego.

Ya conociendo el concepto general de la trama, podemos hablar de que va la película. En Gantz: O, conocemos a Masaru Kato, un joven de preparatoria, responsable y altruista, que acaba siendo asesinado en una estación de metro mientras se dirigía a casa, luego de intentar ayudar a una de las victimas del atacante. Una vez que el chico despierta completamente confundido en una extraña habitación, es abordado por las otras personas que allí se encuentran. Conociendo de éste modo a Suzuki, un hombre mayor muy calmado, que trata de ponerlo al tanto de la situación, comunicándole que en efecto, ha fallecido. Con él, suele estar Reika, una joven de mirada huidiza y desconfiada, así como Nigi, quién vendría siendo el "chico malo" que siempre quiere hacer las cosas en solitario y piensa que los demás, le son un estorbo.

Al principio, Kato no puede procesar tanta información y mucho menos creer que ha muerto, pero luego de ser teletransportado hasta el "sitio de juego" y de vivir en carne propia la experiencia de tener que luchar contra horribles monstruos que atacan la ciudad, el joven no tiene más remedio que hacer hasta lo imposible por seguir adelante, con el único propósito de volver a casa y reencontrarse con su hermano menor.

[clickear para leer mi opinion] Como les mencioné en un principio, no soy fanática de éste tipo de tramas, pero es más que nada porque no me gusta el gore ni las batallas, pero, puedo hacer excepciones cuando las series tienen historias bizarras como ésta. En el caso de la película como tal, me ayudó recordar un poco de que iba el anime para no perderme y para mi sorpresa, me gustó bastante. Me encantó muchísimo el personaje de Kato, siempre esforzándose por hacer lo correcto, sin importar si corre riesgo por ello. Los personajes nobles como éste, son mis favoritos, así que el hecho de que básicamente fuese el protagonista, me mantuvo más enganchada. Sobre todo cuando al final, luego de tanta masacre, él sigue conservando su espíritu altruista.
Amé la animación, simplemente es hermoso ver las expresiones y los movimientos de los personaje y esas miradas que te transmiten sus emociones. El cabello de los personajes, es magnifico, ojalá mi cabello se mantuviera tan peinado como lo de las chicas en toda la película ja ja
Hablando de los personajes femeninos, tengo un conflicto con los mismos... sé que Hiroya Oku es bastante conocido por el modo en que dibujaba a las mujeres, si hasta en el manga que me gusta "HEN", lo que más se aprecia es la voluptuosidad de su protagonista pero la excesiva sexualización, llega a ser incómoda en ésta película, al menos para mí, era complicado mantener la atención en el drama viendo un par de pechos moviéndose como si fueran globos de agua ja ja
Pero, quitando ese hecho, considero que es una película emocionante, visualmente increíble y con personajes con los que te llegas a enganchar hasta el punto de querer cuidarlos a todos o al menos, así me pasó a mí ja ja Se las recomiendo si no la han visto, al igual que el anime, que espero retomar en cuanto pueda.
