Hello all movie lovers! One of my favorite DreamWorks films, like many, is Megamind. From the first time I saw it, I was not only enchanted by its charismatic protagonist, but I was hooked by the way they carried the plot from beginning to end. When I found out about the supposed second part that would come to light and all the controversy that arose around it, I did not hesitate to give it a chance and thus obtain my own opinion on the matter. Without further ado, join me and let's talk a little about the plot of Megamind vs. the Doom Syndicate.

After Megamind left villainy and became the new hero of Metrocity, he and Minion (who now goes by the name "Ol' Chum"), are in charge of stopping the criminals who threaten the peace of the city. Except that Ol' Chum, he begins to realize that his boss doesn't really see him as his heroic partner, and he ends up taking all the credit for the feats that clearly involve both of them. On the other hand, reporter Roxanne Ritchi, who is known for always reporting on all the important events in the city, begins to realize that her job no longer satisfies her like before.

In the midst of the protagonists' problems, in the city prison, the Syndicate of Perdition is locked up, a group of villains that in the past was the group to which Megamind belonged and led. They remained in that place, since Megamind himself, to get rid of them (since he was incapable of sharing the credit), told them to remain there until he gave them the signal and faithfully, they obeyed his order. Until they find out that Megamind has assumed the role of Metrocity's hero and they believe that this is the sign they have been waiting for.

After being visited by the union and congratulated by it, thinking that everything is a plan by Megamind to destroy the city, Megamind himself will try to prevent the villains from finding out that he really is a hero. Although, not having Ol' Chum's help (since he is going to work somewhere else because he does not find the respect of what he considered his friend), things will not turn out very well.

Good. Although they may believe that it is not easy to maintain a positive opinion about something that is surrounded by negative criticism, I kept my mind open when watching the film, that is, I was prepared to first see everything and then judge it.

After doing so, I can assure you that everything that was predicted about the film is correct.

It's completely boring and not very enjoyable. Not only because of the story, which is tedious, but it also makes no sense, contradicting things that happened in the main Megamind movie. Although, given that this is not a second part of Megamind, but rather a kind of epilogue for a series that is going to be released, I could take the attitude of many of the fans and consider that nothing that happens here is canon. Still, the plot for the series does not seem attractive to me, so I would have to see how the episodes develop to give my opinion on them.

But continuing with the movie, it is true, the graphics are of worse quality. I'm not one of the people who pay attention to those things, but the quality is so bad that even I noticed it, since there are too many "voids" in the scenarios that are too noticeable.

The soundtrack is poor. Nothing I heard stayed in my mind, unlike the first Megamind movie.

The fact that Megamind and Ritchi's love relationship feels so null, I didn't like it, since it was one of the attractions of the plot, not to mention that Megamind's personality changed and not for the better. She stopped being a lovable and charismatic character, and was simply selfish and annoying.

Ritchi's dilemma about stopping being a reporter felt very forced and everything happened so quickly that it felt completely meaningless (like the entire movie).

I think the only thing I could rescue from everything I saw was the design of the villain of the Climate Lady and I'm not talking about the design of the character in general, but exclusively her dress... and not even the dress complete, but the function it has of opening and closing like an umbrella, giving the villain the ability to plan. I thought it was picturesque and ingenious, but I didn't like the rest because it was quite out of place.

Anyway, I was halfway through the film and I got bored, I finished watching it out of obligation to myself haha I'll wait for the damn series to come out to see if the episode scripts are worth it and they fixed what they ruined with this film .

¡Hola a todos los amantes de las películas! Una de mis películas favoritas de DreamWorks como muchos, es Megamente. Desde la primera vez que la vi, no sólo quedé encantada con su carismático protagonista, sino que quedé enganchada con modo en que llevaron la trama desde principio a fin. Al enterarme sobre la supuesta segunda parte que saldría a la luz y toda la polémica que se formó a su alrededor, no dudé en darle una oportunidad y así, obtener mi propia opinión al respecto. Sin más, acompáñenme y hablemos un poco sobre la trama de Megamente contra el sindicato de la perdición.

Luego de que Megamente dejase la villanía y se volviera el nuevo héroe de Metrociudad, él y Servil (quien ahora recibe el nombre de "Compa"), se encargan de detener a los delincuentes que amenazan la paz de la ciudad. Sólo que Compa, comienza a darse cuenta de que su jefe, no lo ve realmente como su compañero heroico, siendo que acaba llevándose todo el crédito por las hazañas que claramente los involucra a ambos. Por otro lado, la reportera Roxanne Ritchi, a la que se le conocen por siempre reportar todos los eventos importantes de la ciudad, comienza a darse cuenta de que su trabajo, ya no la satisface como antes.

En medio de los problemas de los protagonistas, en la prisión de la ciudad, se encuentra encerrado el Sindicato de la perdición, un grupo de villanos que en el pasado, se trató del grupo al cual pertenecía y lideraba Megamente. Ellos permanecieron en aquel lugar, dado que el propio Megamente, para deshacerse de ellos (dado que era incapaz de compartir el crédito), les dijo que permanecieran allí hasta que él les diera la señal y fielmente, ellos obedecieron a su orden. Hasta que se enteran que Megamente a asumido el rol de héroe de Metrociudad y atribuyen, que esa es la señal que han estado esperando.

Tras ser visitado por el sindicato y felicitado por el mismo, al pensar que todo se trata de un plan de Megamente para acabar con la ciudad, el propio Megamente tratará de evitar que los villanos se enteren de que realmente, es un héroe. Aunque, al no contar con la ayuda de Compa (ya que éste, se va a trabajar a otro lugar al no encontrar el respeto del que consideraba su amigo), las cosas no saldrán muy bien que se diga.

Bien. Aunque crean que no es fácil mantener una opinión positiva sobre algo que está rodeado de críticas negativas, mantuve mi mente abierta a la hora de ver el filme, es decir, estaba preparada para primero ver todo y luego juzgarlo.

Tras hacerlo, puedo asegurar que todo lo que se predijo sobre la película, está en lo cierto.

Es completamente aburrida y poco disfrutable. No sólo por la historia, que es tediosa, sino que tampoco tiene sentido, contradiciendo cosas que ocurrieron en la película principal de Megamente. Aunque, dado que no se trata de una segunda parte de Megamente, sino una especie de epílogo para una serie que va a estrenarse, podría tomar la actitud de muchos de los fanáticos y considerar que nada de lo que pasa aquí, es canon. Aún así, la trama para la serie, no me parece atractiva, de modo que tendría que ver cómo desarrollan los episodios para dar mi opinión sobre ellos.

Pero siguiendo con la película, es cierto, los gráficos son de peor calidad. No soy de las personas que andan pendiente de esas cosas, pero la calidad es tan mala que hasta yo lo noté, siendo que hay demasiados "vacíos" en los escenarios que se notan demasiado.

La banda sonora es pobre. Nada de lo que escuché se quedó en mi mente, a diferencia de la primera película de Megamente.

El hecho de que la relación amorosa de Megamente y Ritchi se sienta tan nula, no me agradó, ya que era uno de los atractivos de la trama, sin mencionar que la personalidad de Megamente cambió y no para bien. Dejó de ser un personaje adorable y carismático, para simplemente ser egoísta y molesto.

El dilema de Ritchi sobre dejar de ser reportera, lo sentí muy forzado y todo ocurrió tan rápido que se sintió como un total sin sentido (como toda la película).

Creo que lo único que podría rescatar de todo lo que vi, fue el diseño de la villana de la Dama climática y no hablo del diseño del personaje en general, sino exclusivamente su vestido... y ni siquiera del vestido completo, sino la función que tiene el mismo de abrirse y cerrarse como un paraguas, dándole a la villana, la habilidad de planear. Me pareció pintoresco e ingenioso, pero del resto, no me gustó lo demás porque desentona bastante.

En fin, iba por la mitad del filme y me aburrí, lo terminé de ver por obligación conmigo misma jaja Esperaré a que salga la dichosa serie para ver si los guiones de los episodios si valen la pena y arreglaron lo que arruinaron con éste filme.
