Arcane Is A Masterpiece
"What inspires us to do the greatest good is also the cause of the greatest evil." – Viktor
The eternal battle between good and evil, which perhaps aren’t opposites but exist on a continuum. Viktor envisioned that his Glorious Evolution through Hextech would end humanity’s suffering and unite everyone. Yet, the good that seems destined to bring peace and love inevitably cannot escape the other side of the same coin—hatred and discord.
Every achievement fuels the passion for the next, pushing for more than humanity can bear. A scientist, Singed, sought to defeat death, only to remain eternally trapped in his refusal to accept the end of life as just another part of it, rather than something to be conquered or overcome. Noxus' bloodthirsty and warmongering general, Ambessa, will not stop until her ambition to dominate everything consumes her, demanding the scientist defeat Death itself on her behalf.
Jayce, an ambitious student eager to become a master, guided by his own moral compass, represents the desire for something greater and the dangers it hides throughout the series. Caitlyn, a prisoner of her past yet capable of taming it and carving her own path, refuses to look back except to forgive and learn from it. Vi, trying to appear tough but ultimately proving to be sensitive and compassionate, and her sister Powder, who tries to stay soft but ends up becoming Jinx. A sisterly bond filled with conflict, passion, and love that struggles to survive in every parallel universe.
Ekko, the boy who shattered time, operates in the shadows just as he grew up, proving that determination and belief in change don’t come from some higher power but from within us.
Romantic entanglements, electronic music, bold colors, and pure humanity—this is what Arcane has offered us. Narratively, it speaks of magic and technology, yet it doesn’t stray far from our own world. Its characters are not so different, perhaps even archetypes, of our reality.
A masterpiece of artistry that delivers tears, joy, and introspection—just like real life.
Notable moments from the last three episodes
When Mel shielded Caitlyn from Mandie's bullet—big round of applause, honestly.
EKKO, YOU’RE OUR SAVIOR.
Heimerdinger, I can't believe you left. You're somewhere out there in another universe playing the banjo.
CAITLYN AND VI UNTIL THE END OF TIME. Also, amazing that they became canon, and we learned how she lost her eye, which is a skin detail, anyway.
WILL THE TWO SISTERS EVER BE TOGETHER? Seriously, in every universe, only one remains.
VANDER. JUST THAT. Or is it Warwick?
All in all, the messages in this series are incredible—cynical, but necessary to hear. The philosophical questions it tackles about truth, the duality of human nature (creation-destruction, love-hate), and how ambition becomes arrogance are so cleverly done. Did it touch on quantum physics, or was that just me?
DID I MENTION IT’S A MASTERPIECE? The music is e-x-c-e-l-l-e-n-t, the animation is simply perfect, and the fact that the artists filmed themselves to capture the characters' movements naturally? Legendary studio effort.
P.S Here you can find all the soundtracks of season 2.
Cool little review, dude. I watched the first season and I've been postponing this new season, but now that you've sang it's praise like this I gotta bring that watch date up 🙂. Thanks.
You better watch it soon because there are a lot of spoilers out there that can ruin the whole experience
Had to wait a long time for season 2 after season 1 and it was worth it...Warwick's role surprised me a lot and Heimindinger made me sad when he left. Jinx impressed me a lot... It's a perfect series/anime whatever you say...Vander's dream finally came true I guess in the end...
In this season there are all kind of emotions it is truly a masterpiece in every aspect.
Sending you an Ecency curation vote!
I saw a lot of good reviews about this one. It's on my list but not getting much time for watching it. Hopefully soon. Thanks for sharing 😊💕
