Medical Mysteries and Dark Humor: Revisiting House MD SERIES
House MD is not just a medical series, it is a series that portrays an insight into the mind of an intelligent man, Dr. Gregory House who is as clever as he is broken.
This is a series where you get to actually ask yourself what exactly it means to care and if it is better off making few selections of persons you will care for and then toy with others, hehe.
A series that portrays how difficult it is to face our own flaws and not to talk of the humour accompanying every response he will give.
It is quite a movie that you will love to watch countless times over and over again, even if you were not a medic, lol.
I got to know about this movie in 2022 from a friend of mine, he is an art student but he kept referring me to see this series saying that I will really enjoy it.
In his words, "I enjoyed it even as an art student that couldn't understand the medical aspect of the movie not to talk of you who is in the field of medicine"
I will always tell him not to worry that I will see the series once I have the time to since it's raining exams over here.
I only got to see the series after my graduation this August, I am yet to finish it even but I am definitely enjoying every episode I watch.
I did not watch it when my friend told me about it not because I did not want to but because it is a series that is too long for me to encompass in my busy schedule then and will only lead me to watching few of them and probably rewatch them again when I have time just so I could flow again with the ones I already watched since there's greater chance I must have forgotten them, lol.
It's a series of 177 episodes with each of the episode spanning for minimum of 44minutes but trust me, you won't even know when you finish them all.
The series centers on Dr. Gregory House who works at Princeton Plainsboro Hospital, a small hospital but the biggest when it comes to diagnostics because that is the department he is managing.
It is where he will get "his interesting cases" as he said, hence, the department was created for him.
He sees patients as puzzles that needs to be cracked and never really cares about the making them better aspect because once he gets his diagnosis right, he's as good as fulfilled, lol.
He has a team he works with, very brilliant set of people also who he gets to discuss differentials with before finally getting it right.
He has a friend who is an oncologist, Dr. Wilson who has been with him throughout the movie despite his annoying attitude, lol and he has got the director of the hospital, Dr. Cuddy who he is confused of what he actually feels for her as he keeps blasting every opportunity given to him by Dr. Cuddy to see if they could be in a relationship since they love each other but Dr. House is refusing to admit it, lol.
Things won't always go your way and maybe that is why I love this series so much because I don't think there was a case he solved at his very first try and he didn't also pose as a God who saved all patients that came to him despite the fact that it was a movie making it look so real and fascinating.
However, his "arrogant" approach of practicing medicine is what I didn't like in the movie but then, It works for him and patients gets better so who cares, lol.
Since he sees patients as puzzles to be solved, he takes up the 0.1% shot at a treatment he's speculating even without confirmation, but then, like I said it works for him, lol
The humour in this series is second to none, I assure you😂
This is really a movie you wouldn't love to keep mute about when it is been talked about in any gathering and guess what?
It Is Worth Every Bit Of Your Time*
There is much to really talk about this movie, hehehe.
