Marmalade is a movie writing and directed by Keir O’Donnell who also is debuting as director. The movie want to captivate the audience with its mixture of romance and heist as a style of Bonnie and Clyde but in this new generation. Starring by Joe Keery, Camila Morrone and Aldis Hodge, a trio that shows a good synergy in this movie. It is schedule to be available on digital platforms since February 9, 2024. Marmalade is about a young woman, rebel, funny, spontaneous who falls in love with Baron an young man that is quit, hard worker and full of needs and she will drag him into a robbery, making him believe that is the solution for many of his problems. This movie will be guiding the audience to confirm if she really falls in love with him or if she is only using him as a partner for her crimes.

Keir O’Donnell is an Australian actor known for his roles in many movies such as Wedding Crashers (2005), The Break-Up (2006), Paul Blart Mall Cop (2009) and American Sniper (2012). Is an actor with an extensive carrier in the big screen and television, also participate in the comedy tour Wild West Comedy Show (2006) with Vince Vaughn and now jump into a new role in his carrier debuting as the director of Marmalade. Born in Sydney, Australia, O’Donnell’s journey from the suburbs of St. Ives to Harvard, Massachusetts, shows his diverse background, culminating in his graduation from The Hartt School in 2000.

O’Donnell, known for his on-screen charisma and experience in improvisation sketches, brings a mix of emotion and entertainment with a clear style of what he wants to transmit to the audience, an almost clear story but with a unknown twist, all this thanks to his extensive experience in the entertainment industry. This directorial debut is a confirmation of O’Donnell’s ability to perform transition between roles both in front of and behind the camera.

Marmalade focuses on the life of Baron, a young man who works as a postman in his town and almost all the money he earns is to pay for the expensive medicine that his mother needs. One day his life is intertwined with Marmalade a young woman with a free spirit and since that moment everything in Baron life change radically. The story star with Baron in jail talking with is cellmate Otis, an experienced prison escapee, asking him to help him to escape so he can reunite with Marmalade his soulmate and love of his life. He star telling Otis his sad story of how he pass from being a poor postman trying to buy his mother medications to becomes a thief who robs a bank. The movie will show if in fact Marmalade is Baron soulmate or his nightmare, a person that will be doing everything for him or only a woman that manipulated him. The film has a combination of romance, action, intrigue and an ending plot twist.

Joe Keery, famous for his role in Stranger Things (2016) leads the cast as Baron, giving in this movie a totally different role, bringing a south young man, with a sad life and joining a woman that he believes is the love of his life but that push him into a roller coaster of emotions and situations. Camila Morrone is Marmalade, she is better known for her debut in James Franco’s Bukowski (2013) performing the role of Katharina Bukowski, now in Marmalede she is the woman that inject adrenaline into Baron’s life in a good and unfortunate way. Aldis Hodge is Otis, with a rich history in projects like Leverage (2008) and Hidden Figures (2016), injects intrigue into this trio, is the person and the only hope that Baron has to be reunite with Marmalade.

Joe Keery’s journey in the entertainment industry, particularly his notable role in Stranger Things, solidified his status as a versatile actor.
