The story follows Bea, a girl who discovers she can see everyone’s imaginary friends after going through a difficult experience. She decided that she is going to reconnect forgotten imaginary friends with the children who have outgrown them. Imaginary friends are in peril because their children have grown up and abandoned them and Bea becomes their last hope for survival. With the help of her neighbor Cal, who also has the ability to the see the imaginary friends and discover that Bea can see them too. Cal already knows about the imaginary friends world and introduce Bea to it. Since that moment Bea embarks on a journey filled with fun and exciting moments to find a way to keep them alive. Bea is guide by Cal who guide her into this world of Imaginary Friends that are hoping that can still living in some child minds and continue giving happiness to their life.

The Story behind IF

This movie was a project that the director had in mind since 7 years ago and finally when all the legal process where ended, he could start working on it. Thinking in a movie that his children could see since they are not yet of age to watch A Quite Place, the director thought in a movie for them, that they were able to enjoy it, with that premise, to his mind came the idea of, what if we could tell a story about these time capsule?, about the imaginary friends that in most of time are adorable but at the same time they are also time capsules of your hopes, dreams and ambitions when you were a kid and it never goes away, because even thought we grow up we never stopped being a child. The story of IF is about a girl who discover that she can see everyone’s imaginary friends and with that superpower, she embark on a magical adventure to reconnect those imaginary friends with their kids.

John Krasinski is the writer, director and producer of the film, he joined Ryan Reynolds with his Maximum Effort production company to be the producers of this movie. Combining comedy, fantasy and family drama, IF promises to transport viewers into a magical world full of laughter and emotions.

In this movie John Krasisnky reunite after 11 in a production with one of his friends Steve Carrell. They both work together in the iconic TV series The Office. They really felt excited to work together again in this amazing project and also create a good environment for everyone. Krasinski is an American actor, writer and director, who gained recognition for his role of Jim Halpert in the acclaimed TV series The Office. While in The Office Krasinski took various roles beyond acting, he had the opportunity to contribute as a writer in several episodes and even directing some of them. Following that path the actor was gaining more experience as a director, making his first directorial debut in 2009 with Brief Interviews with Hideous Men, a film adaptation of David Foster Wallace’s collection of short stories. Although the film received mixed reviews, it served as the begginig for his directorial aspirations.

Krasinski continue to expand his horizons and in 2016 directed the movie The Hollars, a movie based in the story of the writer John Hollars who returned to his home to be with his mother who has cancer. It is a drama movie with a touch of comedy, that demonstrated and established Krasinski as a filmmaker who is not afraid to explore the complexities of human relationships and also that is not afraid in adventure in different genres. This movie didn’t garnered much attention in the audience but that didn’t discouragement the director because a couple of years later he will get his moment.

In 2018 John Krasinski adventure into a new genre in the film industry, giving to the critics and the audience his new film, A Quiet Place, a film that he directed and also starred alongside his wife Emily Blunt. This is a horror movie that shows a family living in a post-apocalyptic world invaded by sound sensitive creatures and they must be quiet at all time to stay alive. A Quiet Place shows a new facet of Krasinski as a director gaining the world wide recognition that he was looking for, been recognized as a brilliant director with the most successful movie of 2018.
