Constellation is a science fiction series that also keep tricking your brain, it promises viewers a fascinating journey through the cosmos and the human mind, created by the great genius that is Peter Harness the series offers a twisted blend of suspense, mystery and existential inquiry. Harness the visionary creator and writer of Constellation explore his ambitious project in April 2022 when Apple TV+ green light the series for production.

Harness has solidified his name as an expert storyteller in the television world some of his works that can be mention are the adaptation of H.G. Well’s The War of the Worlds 2019 and the historical drama Jonathan Strange & Mr Norrell 2015 the last of which was exceptionally well received by audiences for that reason Harness’s style immerse Constellation in an air of intrigue and doubts inviting viewers to think about the mysteries of space and the complexities of the human consciousness and while the series is developing the plot the viewers are taken into a web of conspiracy, deception and self discovery guided by Harness’s vision and his skilled narrative hand.

The director of the Constellation is Michelle MacLaren she was the executive producer of the TV series Breaking Bad and director of some episodes of the successful series Game of Thrones also she work in the famous TV series The X-Files and The Walking Dead, MacClaren is a woman with a great ability to create suspense and tension during in the trailer viewers can notice the intention of the director to play with both the characters minds and the audience’s, MacLaren’s work in Constellation alongside directors Oliver Hirschbiegel and Joseph Cedar offers an entertainment both visual and emotional guiding viewers through the deep in the space and the psyche.

The trailer of Constellation show us the main character Jo an astronaut who has returned to earth from a mission in space after a terrible accident but it seems that she doesn’t returned entirely well because she begins to have visions and she feels that is follow by a mysterious figure all these events will be leading the audience to think if Jo has a mental issue or if it is a conspiracy against her but no matter what Jo is going to face many dangers events that will force her to search for answer in order to continue with her life and her family, sounds very intriguing and we will have to wait for the first eight episodes to develop until we know if there is a second season or not.

The cast of Constellation features a variety of talents: Noomi Rapace plays the lead of astronaut Jo. Rapace do to her experience in both movies and television she can lead the character to an aspect of vulnerability. Her performance promises to be one of the series most outstanding and her face is familiar from the movie Prometheus which also deals with science fiction and moon travel. Jonathan Banks known for his performance of Mike Ehrmantraut in the TV Series Breaking Bad is a talented and experienced actor who will bring intensity to the character Henry. James D’Arcy as Magnus has a lot of charisma and captivates the audience as he has done in his previous works such as Agent Carter an adventure and crime story and in Oppenheimer a biography about the American scientist’s role in the development of the atomic bomb. Julian Looman as Frederic Duverger known for his role in the detective series The Mallorca Files will show us how versatile he is in interpreting characters as we have seen him in comedy, drama and action. Lenn Kudrjawizki a recognized actor in the German film industry he brings the character Sergei to life. William Catlett take the role of Paul Lancaster his performance marked by authenticity and emotional performance leading the viewers into the character’s journey he is known for his roles in A Thousand and One and The Devil You Know a mystery themotional depth drawing viewers into the character’s journeriller. Barbara Sukowa recognized for her roles in the biopic of philosopher Hannah Arendt and Atomic Blonde she plays Irena Lysenko.

The series Constellation has a stellar cast, visionary creators and an intriguing plot, it seeks to reach its peak among critics and viewers alike it expect to be captivated, challenged and ultimately transformed by the story which in each episode will have new revelations and unexpected twists, has been announced a total of 8 episodes for the first season and by watching the trailer it feels like Constellation could be one of those series you end up watching in a day since it’s full of suspense, plays with your mind and makes you want to uncover the truth.

There is really not much else to say that Constellation (2024) will be a series you probably want to burn on a single day Netflix style but luckily to keep your TV series addiction under control it will be on AppleTv+, I personally expect this to be a good series as most TV series on AppleTv+. Constellation has a good cast, some of them known faces to the average viewer from other productions and it seems that the director Michelle MacLaren with huge experience on TV Series and under the hand of creative storyteller Peter Harness make a combination for a good project. The series is also refreshing as we don't often get stories from astronauts coming back to Earth and start action all disillusion, not as a hero instead with all her illnesses, traumas, disappointments and problems to continue with a normal life.
