The movie starts with the events of 1964 where - Ansari, a terrorist group leader, is recruited by the Pakistani Army Brigadier Abu Tariq to help the Pakistan Army chief to capture Kashmir. However, Army Chief Brigadier Abu Tariq has to act against the will of the senior officer. After that, it is seen twenty years later in the present time of 1984, where an Indian honorable Dr. Anand Mehta goes to London and there a Pakistani girl Afreen sets his car on fire. The reason is Dr. Anand Mehta made bad comments about Pakistan, so London University student Afreen did this as a protest.
Dr. as a punishment for such incidents. Anand Mehta must pay Afreen car price or apologize politely. Afreen goes to arrange the dowry money and learns that her only guardian grandfather, Brigadier Abu Tariq, has died and learns that she will not get any of her grandfather's property unless a letter from 20 years ago is sent to the correct address in India. It is known about the letter that 20 years ago Indian Army officer Lieutenant Ram is supposed to convey his love to Sita before his death. Afreen is forced to go to India and find the address of the letter about the extraordinary love between Lieutenant Ram, an Indian Hindu army officer and the then queen of Kashmir, Noor Jahan / Sita, which has not been consummated in the present.
Also through the letter one can see the incident of 1964 in the past, where terrorist Ansari wants to take over Kashmir by inciting riots between Hindus and Muslims. When he goes on a secret mission to destroy a terrorist group that is plotting such a riot, before his love can be fulfilled, he is caught by the Pakistani army to save the little Muslim child Waheeda after the mission is successful and the letter given to the little Waheeda before her death is working to reach today in 1984. At the same time, Afreen came to know that that little Waheeda is the present-day Afreen, then she took it upon herself to find Noor Jahan / Sita and deliver that letter, so that all the anger in her heart towards India was transformed into love through this wonderful letter.
