It has been a stressful strange Monday. Strange in the fact that I was in a lot of stressful situations and didn't feel it till I came home and sat down.
It's almost like all the stress being carried by adrenaline finally laid on my shoulders and I was nearly crushed.
Normally I'd go to bed, but I needed to get in a post for hive and I didn't want to do just another "snap" so I decided to watch a movie.

Bad Genius

Plot

Mei, a genius scholarship student finds a way to help her friends cheat in an exam.
As the scheme works and her operation expands, she soon finds herself in a high stakes operation that tests her morals, wits and determination against the American Educational Giants of Tests

Now as you know from my intro in this post. Watching a movie was a totally spontaneous thing to do. As of the time of writing it's 12:14 and I have to be up by 4am this morning so you know this isn't my best idea.
As of such, I just spontaneously chose this show out of the tens of movies my sister has downloaded and added on my laptop.
I had no previous information on it, nor had I even known about the existence of the movie till I saw the title.
Yet with so little info before starting, imagine my surprise when I was watching and noting just how wonderful this movie is.

It's a movie that is shone from the perspective of Lynne who's invited into a prestigious rich school, Exton Pacific. This is the primary setting and where we see the birth of something marvelous.

Lynne gets befriended by Grace and once helps her out in a test. Grace then introduces her boyfriend Pat to the loop.
Pat is the one that kick-starts the full exam scheme business and manages to draw Lynne into it.
Then invites Lynne and manages to cajole Banks into joining in for their heist of S.A.T exam answers.

This is a movie when we notice the true saying of your friends are the ones that hold a lot of influence in your decisions.
The characters for this movie were wonderful and the cast who portrayed this characters did an extremely excellent job.
The ability of creating such a thrilling atmosphere in an exam enviromment is one that is so real yet so fictional.

It really brings alive this kind of meme as the tension felt was real in here.
I'd have to congratulate the directors and writers also for the pacing. It's am hour and forty-five minutes but you could swear that it felt like it was under an hour.

The pacing was implemented well, not dragging out some scenes and making everything to look speed thus showcasing how little time the characters in the movie had to finish an execute their plan, thus adding more tension on them and us the viewers. It was a lovely experience.

This movie is a stunning 9 out of 10 and I recommend it to all fans of thriller, or students who have an exam coming up and need new cheating tricks ✨
