THE MAN FROM TORONTO || MOVIE REVIEW đđŹ
THE MAN FROM TORONTO is a hilarious movie garnished with tragedy. Kevin Hart has always been known for comical appearances and he didnât disappoint in this movie.
Either directly dropping funny lines or making his co-actors do so, his presence gave the movie a very funny setting.
I still donât understand why most of the movies I have watched kept promoting the synergy of good and evil. I guess the movie industry is passing a message.
Kevin Hart, Teddy, has a wife Lori, whom he loved so much and wanted to prove his love and capability as a man to her by meeting all her needs and desires.
Although Lori believed so much in her husband and often showered him with support and love, Teddy failed at many things.
He tried a lot of ideas but they always come out as dumb. At some point people didnât say âyou screwed up,â theyâll just say âyou Teddyd it.â His wife made this known to him in a hilarious way.
In my opinion, I think Teddy wasnât a smart guy as he wasted a lot of opportunities, there was even a time his wife had to let him know he wasnât doing so well.
In his defence, Teddy feels things arenât just working out yet for him and he will keep trying out new ideas. But sincerely, who comes up with an idea of ânon contact boxingââ a situation where people box without contact.
At the end of the movie, the idea came out to be something suitable for kids. It wasnât a totally bad idea after all.
At some point Teddy made a flier that has no description nor phone number of the gym he was promoting.
Teddy even made a video to promote his ânon contactâ idea and it got just three comments majorly asking âwhat is this?â Matty, the gym owner, had no other option than to spill it out to Teddy that his idea was dumb and he had to let him go.
The interesting twist was how Teddyâs unsmart move coupled with the love for his wife and the need to impress his wife actually led him to doing something meaningful with his life.
He booked a cabin for his wifeâs birthday but didnât quit get the numbers right so his wife left him to figure that out and that was how he got into a situation where he was mistaken for a notorious assassin known as THE MAN FROM TORONTO.
The FBI arrested Teddy and after discovering he wasnât the real assassin, they told him he had to act along as that was their only chance of getting the real assassin.
The real assassin also discovered he had an impostor and was on Teddyâs trail to bring him down but after discovering it wasnât an intentional act and Teddy wasnât a real assassin he decided to come up with other plans.
The good part was that Teddy was able to secure the good life he had always wanted for his wife. His working with the FBI paid for his wifeâs expenses.
The assassin has a handler who wanted him to kill Teddy and since he didnât do what was expected of him, the handler hired another assassin, The Man From Miami to kill The Man From Toronto and Teddy. This didnât go as planned because the duo defeated The Man From Miami.
I love the action and interesting scenes including the comical display.
If you are a lover of comedy and tragedy, then this movie is for you. But if you donât like cursing and swear words, you may rate the movie an 8 out of 10 just like me.
It is an interesting movie but I think the use of swear words should have been reduced. Not absent but reduced.
Say no more... I'm searching for this movie to download ASAP
