Movie Review || Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madnessš¦ø
Hi Hiveians, happy to be here again. Join me as I take you through this exciting movie. If you've not seen it you need to see it!
This action-packed, sci-fi 2022 movie is indeed garnished with lots of āmadness.ā The creativity that went into the scenes, graphics, imagination, and all was top-notch.
When I say all those involved in the success of the movie are mad, I mean they really made a difference! Marvel Studios had been doing a great job, and this movie is nothing but excellent.
The Doctor Strange series had always been garnished with a lot of irregularities and creative innovations, but this movie is really giving.
Aside from the graphics, scenes, humor, etc., the whole cast did a yeomanās job. There is this blend of the medieval and modern times that really made sense. Trust me, I have seen this movie more than once and canāt get tired of seeing it again if time permits.
Doctor Stephen Strange is the hero of the movie, while the Scarlet Witch (Wanda Maximoff) is the antagonist or villain.
The movie showcased the struggle for power between good and evil on the one hand and the will to choose between doing good or evil on the other. It is one thing to be tagged evil, and it is another thing to do evil.
Doctor Strange was tagged as ābeing goodā but was seen doing evil at some point while Wanda was tagged as being evil but actually did something good in the end.
An example of a scene where Doctor Strange did evil was when he tried to take America Chavezās power while Wanda did what was right by destroying the Darkhold in every universe.
There are several things I liked about the movie, the costume, the scenes, the devoted cast, and all. I donāt think the lady who was named America in the movie was a coincidence, and this, to me, is significant.
The movie is like a message trying to expose the unique qualities of America as a country and several ādark holds,ā powers, and countries trying to chase and acquire their power. But as shown in the movie, they end up failing or joining an alliance to support the Great America.
The opening scene showed Doctor Strange and a lady, America Chavez, in another universe being chased by a monstrous creature. It turned out that the girl has a superpower that could open doors into several universes.
In summary, the scene turned out to be a dream, but later another scene revealed that it wasnāt a dream but a life Doctor Strange had once lived, that is one of the madnesses of the movie.
As it was later revealed, the major challenge is that America Chaves had no control over her powers, and any extreme impulse can trigger her to open the portals.
When she was young, she got stung by a bee, and this triggered her powers, making her unwillingly send her parents to an unknown universe.
Doctor Strange had his own challenge, which was the fact that he lost the love of his life to another man in his present universe.
While he was at her wedding and probably trying to have a peaceful chat with her. A big-eyed, octopus-shaped monster emerged and started tormenting people.
At first, it was invisible, but with Doctor Strangeās power, he was able to deactivate its invisibility. With the help of Master Wong (Strangeās associate and friend), Doctor Strange was able to defeat the monster. It turned out the monster was after America, chasing her all the way from another universe.
Several other fighting scenes were featured in the movie, but in the end, the good prevailed over the bad, but not without the loss of some lives. To a reasonable extent, this is relatable in reality. A situation where bad things happen to good people.
I canāt forget the final scene, where the Scarlet Witch from another universe met with the Scarlet Witch in the existing universe.
It was quite emotional to see someone have what you want so badly and yet let go of that thing because you know you will never be able to have it.
I think the scene shows that wickedness has its limits, which is one thing I believe can sometimes be true but not always in reality.
It is a popular movie, but like I said earlier, just in case you havenāt seen it, go for it, and if you have seen it before, you can watch it again, you might have missed a line or two.
I watched the movie to the very end and discovered there were two post-credit scenes. Iāll rate it 9.5 out of 10, great movie!
You're welcome š¤š¤š¤
I've been a bit away from the MCU for a few years now, but I saw this one in theaters and it was quite entertaining. Sam Raimi is a filmmaker with a very particular visual style, I'm glad Marvel let him do his thing.
@richardalexis Yeah the movie is quite interesting. Sam did well on this one, he's also done some creative stuff with Spider man and other movies.
Thanks for the comment. Happy Weekend šš
