Extraction 2 || Movie Review 🤵🏃♂️🆘
This action-packed movie is really interesting from the start to the end. Tyler Rake (real name: Chris Hemsworth) is the right man for the job.
As the main actor, he really delivered the goods! Big kudos to Joe Russo for writing such an excellent story.
I was surprised to see that Eedris Elba (known as Alcott in the movie) did not take part in any of the fighting scenes.
He only appeared in the early scenes and the closing scene. I have known him to be the action guy in several movies.
The movie uncovered a whole lot of political secrets. It shows that a whole lot is going on behind the political scene.
Unlawful agreements signed by the politically elected and notorious god-fathers in the society among other unlawful acts.
The movie opened with a scene showing how Tyler got shot and fell in a river. It was surprising that he never drowned but was later found at the shore of a river where he got rescued and was taken to the hospital for treatment.
He was in a coma for some time and sincerely at this point, I was already getting bored and asking if we are getting the action or what.
It seemed as if Tyler wasn’t going to get out of the coma but he did. After opening his eyes, the first word he said to his friend, Nik Khan, was “F*ck off!”
After his recovery, he decided to live a peaceful and quite life and with the help of Nik Khan and her brother Yaz Khan, Tyler moved to Gmunden, Austria, a cold region.
It wasn’t long before he was found by an agency that required his service to rescue the wife and children of a notorious crime lord, Davit Radiani.
But, the agency is not with the government, they were led by Alcott, who told Tyler that he has to play safe because if he gets caught during the mission, they won’t take any responsibility —he will be alone!
The major issue here is that the wife and children (Ketevan Radiani, the wife; Sandro Radiani and Nina Radiani, the children) were forcefully made to live with Davit in one of the top prisons.
Tyler was going to rescue these people from their bread winner and he called on Nik and Yaz to help him with the mission.
Another interesting part was where it was later uncovered that the people Tyler planned to rescue are related to his ex-wife. Ketevan Radiani is Tyler’s ex-wife’s sister.
Tyler bribed his way into the prison, but things went the other way when the prison inmates discovered Tyler’s presence.
He faced a whole lot of obstacles, including Davit, the breadwinner, who prevented him from leaving. He later killed him with the help of his wife, Ketevan!
After several fights and shooting, Tyler alongside his crew and the people he went to rescue, managed to escape the prison but were pursued till they entered the train.
In the process, they lost some team members but Tyler, Nik, Yaz, Ketevan, and her children managed to escape.
The death of Davit later made Sandro rebellious after discovering that Tyler killed his father. He betrayed them by disclosing their location to the enemy, and this almost cost them their lives. However, they lost Yaz to the attack.
In the end, Tyler defeated the major enemy and that was Davit’s brother Zurab Radiani who had been pursuing them since the death of his brother but he got arrested alongside Nik and they were both imprisoned.
This is the only part I disliked in the movie because after all the efforts Tyler had invested, he still had to go back to prison.
If you are a lover of action, fighting and shooting movies, this movie is for you. My rating for the movie is 9 out of 10.
