Review and Personal Opinion of the Post-Apocalyptic Series 'The 100' [ENG/SPA]
Sit on your couch, close your eyes, and imagine a world being devastated by a nuclear war of great proportions. The radiation, the product of the nuclear bombs that have exploded, has contaminated the planet in its entirety, turning it into a place uninhabitable for life. The human race, in this scenario, was almost extinguished as a result of this hypothetical event. However, you and a few survivors were able to flee outside the Earth's atmosphere to a space station, thus taking refuge in outer space for many years.
100 years have passed since the catastrophe. Your life went on normally inside this spaceship; you died, but you left behind a well-organized community with norms, rules, and laws to maintain order. Your descendants and the descendants of the first inhabitants of the station are those who live there and enforce the laws you left behind. However, a critical situation arises that gets out of hand and endangers all the inhabitants of the station. For this reason, the high command that governs the ship concludes that it is necessary to return to Earth, as the future of humanity depends on it. In this risky and dangerous mission, they will look for signs that will let them know if Earth is habitable after so many years. But what they do not imagine is that they will encounter dangers worse than radiation.
Siéntate en tu sofá, cierra los ojos e imagina un mundo siendo devastado por una guerra nuclear de grandes proporciones. La radiación, producto de las bombas nucleares que han estallado, ha contaminado el planeta en su totalidad, convirtiéndolo en un lugar inhabitable para la vida. La raza humana, en este escenario, casi fue extinguida producto de este hipotético evento. Más sin embargo, tú y unos pocos sobrevivientes pudieron huir fuera de la atmósfera de la Tierra en una estación espacial, refugiándose así en el espacio exterior durante muchos años.
Han pasado ya 100 años después de la catástrofe. Tu vida transcurrió normal dentro de esta nave espacial; moriste, pero dejaste una comunidad bien organizada con normas, reglas y leyes para mantener un orden. Tus descendientes y los descendientes de los primeros habitantes de dicha estación son los que hacen vida allí y hacen valer las leyes que dejaste. Sin embargo, surge una situación crítica que se escapa de las manos y que pone en peligro a todos los habitantes de dicha estación. Por tal motivo, los altos mandos que rigen la nave concluyen que es necesario volver a la Tierra, ya que el futuro de la humanidad depende de ello. Now, did you imagine it? How did you feel it? How did you live it? Was it exciting? Well, let me introduce you to "The 100," a series that will make your imagination soar and transport you to this post-apocalyptic scenario. This drama and science fiction plot premiered on March 19, 2004, has 7 seasons and 100 episodes, each more exciting than the last. It all begins when the inhabitants of the "Ark" (as they call the space station that keeps alive what remains of the human race) begin to notice that its resources are running out and, if they do not act immediately, what remains of humanity could die. It is worth noting that the "Ark" has a well-established government and chancellors who dictate norms and punish those who commit crimes. That's when they make the decision to go down to Earth, as it is the only way to know if it is habitable or not. Human life depends on it, so they decide to send 100 juvenile criminals to make such a dangerous descent to what was once their home.
Ahora bien, ¿te lo imaginaste? ¿Cómo lo sentiste? ¿Cómo lo viviste? ¿Fue emocionante? Pues bien, te presento "Los 100", una serie que te hará volar la imaginación y te transportará a este escenario postapocalíptico. Esta trama de drama y ciencia ficción fue estrenada el 19 de marzo de 2004, cuenta con 7 temporadas y 100 episodios, cada uno más emocionante que el otro. Todo comienza cuando los habitantes del "Arca" (así le llaman a la estación espacial que mantiene viva a lo que queda de la raza humana) comienzan a notar que los recursos de esta se están agotando y, si no actúan de manera inmediata, lo que queda de la humanidad podría morir. Cabe destacar que el "Arca" tiene un gobierno bien establecido y cancilleres que dictan normas y castigan a los que cometen delitos. Es ahí cuando toman la decisión de bajar a la Tierra, ya que es la única forma de saber si es habitable o no. La vida humana depende de ello, así que deciden enviar a 100 criminales juveniles para que realicen tan peligroso descenso a lo que alguna vez fue su hogar.
This series will produce in you a mix of emotions. The plot has unexpected twists, characters you will start hating and end up loving and vice versa, as well as seeing unexpected deaths. If you like feature films of interstellar travel, wars, action, fantasy, and romance, this series is for you. Each season is a new adventure that changes unexpectedly from the previous one, but without losing its essence. As a personal opinion, I highlight that the script itself is very well structured, the moments of tension in the plot are unpredictable, there are scenes that will blow your mind, also moments where you will laugh as well as cry.
It is important to emphasize that I have watched this plot twice from beginning to end. Thus, as a personal opinion, I can say that the series is a sea of emotions, where it leaves endless teachings and reflections. Of these, I highlight two: one of them is the importance of working as a team, as united as a society we can achieve great things. Another teaching that this series leaves us is not to judge a person by their attitude or actions without first knowing the motive behind them.
Esta serie producirá en ti una mezcla de emociones. La trama tiene giros inesperados, personajes que comenzarás odiando y terminarás amando y viceversa, así como también verás muertes inesperadas. Si te gustan los largometrajes de viajes interestelares, guerras, acción, fantasía y romance, esta serie es para ti. Cada temporada es una nueva aventura que cambia de manera inesperada con respecto a la anterior, pero sin perder su esencia. Como opinión personal, destaco que el guión en sí está muy bien estructurado, los momentos de tensión en la trama son impredecibles, hay escenas que te harán volar la cabeza, también momentos donde reirás así como también llorarás.
Es importante recalcar que he visto esta trama ya dos veces de principio a fin. Así pues, como opinión personal, puedo decir que la serie es un mar de emociones, donde deja un sinfín de enseñanzas y reflexiones. De las cuales destaco dos: una de ellas es la importancia de trabajar en equipo, ya que unidos como sociedad podemos lograr grandes cosas. Otra de las enseñanzas que nos deja esta serie es la de no juzgar a una persona por su actitud o sus acciones sin antes conocer el motivo que lo lleva a realizarlas.
On the other hand, I highlight the participation of the secondary characters. Many of them make you end up loving them and they become another protagonist for you. The special effects of the series are very good and notable, the bloody scenes are very realistic and well done. Every scene is felt, lived, and breathed as if you were experiencing it physically. As I mentioned before, this series transports you to its world.
Por otro lado, destaco la participación de los personajes secundarios. Muchos de ellos hacen que termines amándolos y se convierten para ti en un protagonista más. Los efectos especiales de la serie son muy buenos y destacables, las escenas sangrientas son muy realistas y bien logradas. Cada escena se siente, se vive y se respira como si la estuvieses viviendo en forma física. Como lo mencioné anteriormente, esta serie te transporta a su mundo.

I have seen this series more than two times already and I remember las time casually watching a random episode ended up watching the entire series, The 100 still belongs to the golden era of long tv series, multiple season with 10+ episodes, such a good time got to say solid 8/10
