Once Upon A HoneyMoon
Yet another movie from TikTok. Last week I was scrolling through TikTok when chanced a scene of a movie called love Kennedy, I wrote about it in a bid to revive my movie watching career.
Over the weekend I chanced by a new movie which caught my attention with a very nice scene so I was compelled to download it and watch. Here is what I think about it.
“Once Upon A Honeymoon” is a Nigerian movie which features one of my favorite actors Efa Iwara which I’ve liked ever since he played a star role in men’s club. This is a movie which was released this year. It was written by Micheal Akinrogunde and Mannie Oiseomaye. It was also directed by Micheal Akinrogunde.
Once upon a honey moon features big stars in the Nigerian movie industry. People like Baaj Adebule, Uzor Arukwe and Micheal Chinda.
Once Upon a Honeymoon is a movie about a young couple which got married for love. The man who is a known Casanova gets the chance to date a woman who in the public eye a woman of God and a virgin. While all this are true they face a cruel reality when they go for their honeymoon after the marriage ceremony.
Like any normal Christian couple they had to go for counselling to be sure they were compatible but while at the counsellors office they only concentrate on what makes each one of them happy. What their partner does that makes them fall in love more. The counsellor has little to no time to advise them as all they do is stare into each other’s eyes and kiss passionately.
While the man is a known Casanova he makes the conscious effort to wait for the girl until the night of their honeymoon. Their honeymoon is sponsored by a close friend of theirs and his wife who also happens to be their doctor. They make their way to the resort where they spend their first night together as a married couple.
Unfortunately for the woman this resort is owned by her ex who broke up with her before she met her husband. She obviously tells her husband about her ex but her husband doesn’t know her ex’s face.
The weird part about this honeymoon is that things happen on the first night but after the first night things happen and the story takes a different turn. With the introduction of the ex into the scene the marriage faces a tough test of survival.
This movie reminds me of the American series sex/life which features a similar story line. With sex/life it was the woman who has a wild sex life before marriage and things take a bad turn when the woman’s ex comes back into their lives.
One thing that I like about this movie is how engrossed the characters are in this movie. I know they are professionals but they acted like they have been through this type of shit before lol. One other thing that I liked about this movie. Is their choice of music. The music for each scene was close to perfect and you know since it’s a romantic kind of movie the movies will be all kind of romantic as well.
I also liked the movie because of how in sink it was. You know most of the things which happened in the movie are things which happen in real life these days as well.
One thing I didn’t like about this movie is the attire. At this stage I must as well make my own movie lol. But the clothes they made the lady wear were not what I liked. As I always say we all know a bedroom scene when we see it. You don’t need the woman to go half naked to show a bed room scene. It’s a Nigerian movie so you’ll most probably not totally showing private parts so it’s better you cover the woman up. You can show bedroom scenes by doing it under the bedsheets I guess.
All in all I think everyone will behave how the lady behave if this thing that happened to her happened to you.
For me I’ll rate this movie an 8.2 over 10. It was a good watch for me. Maybe you should try it out as well.

You didn't explain that bedroom scene part well let me understand what you mean 👀 is it that the lady is still on heavy make up and outing wear in the bedroom scene or what? 😂
It seem like what I'll watch, maybe I'll go find it on YouTube to see. I'm not familiar with any of the characters though.
Ah ah Merit😂. You know what I mean by bed room scene na. Okay let me explain.
When they show sexual stuff in Nigerian movies I usually don’t like it. We can make up a picture in our heads when they just show them kissing for 2 secs and then lie on the bed na.
You can’t find it on YouTube oo. You’ll find 3 mins reviews and talks about it. You can get it on telegram though.
Lol now I get... On telegram? I'm running from that app o 😂
Calm down na😂, you don’t want to farm ton airdrops again?
My tired is tired 😂
I no do again
😂me sef I am tired. I took a long break and it seems now my eye is eyeing it again.
The looting stories of others is opening your eyes again huh? 😂
😂😂that now no dey move me oo.

I've been watching more of Nigerian movies these days and I'll definitely add this to my list. The storyline sounds really interesting
Yes it is and I am sure it is one that you will enjoy.
jumping on this one because it is a test of love movie plus casanova way, need to know what actually happen and how both will react to this trial
Baba you sure say eno be the cassanova part wey make you want spy am?😂😂
guy already watching it, after waiting for 3yrs and now he stuff isn't stuffing, that is really bad and that was how the ex really came in
Oh wow lol.
I felt his pain but I didn't like how his wife handled it. It was a test of her faith and all of a sudden she forgot her bible studies lol.
I didn't blame her in that aspect though, she was new to it and it will be high for her at that period so she won't handle it well. Also there is something, there is different between loving someone and also getting attracted to the person, as a cassanova, he was use to girls but somehow he wasn't seeing that vibes in his wife (seeing her as jjc). there was a point his stuff pimped up when he saw another lady after taking his wife to a date, he wasn't just attracted to his wife
😂😂I remember the scene. When that happened I was literally shy on his behalf. But but at that moment I supported his wife though.
