Bridgerton: Fue el duque verdaderamente un Romantico? [Esp/Eng]

Comencé a ver la serie Bridgerton porque me encontraba con retazos de ciertas escenas en los reels en Facebook, y ciertas escenas despertaron la curiosidad de querer saber que envolvía toda esta trama para que se generaran ciertos incidentes en la forma que sucedía.
No crean, me estoy riendo mientras escribo estas líneas porque mis amistades y familiares se quedan sorprendidos de que me tomara el tiempo de ver este tipo de serie que cuenta con ciertas escenas que no son aptas para menores de edad y hasta recomendaría que no inicies a verla con ningún niño al lado o adolescente porque, en lo que menos esperas, de la nada, aparece el trasero desnudo de alguno de los personajes.

Hasta donde tengo conocimiento, Bridgerton cuenta con tres temporadas que procuran desarrollarse y avanzar sin perder la secuela de los capítulos anteriores. Sin embargo, para esta oportunidad solo estaré hablando de la temporada número 1 y en otra oportunidad comentaré lo que pienso acerca de las otras.

I started watching the Bridgerton series because I found snippets of certain scenes in the reels on Facebook, and certain scenes aroused the curiosity of wanting to know what was involved in all this plot to generate certain incidents in the way it happened.
Don't believe it, I'm laughing as I write these lines because my friends and family are surprised that I took the time to watch this type of series that has certain scenes that are not suitable for minors and I would even recommend that you do not start watching it with any child or teenager next to you because, when you least expect it, out of nowhere, the naked butt of one of the characters appears.

As far as I know, Bridgerton has three seasons that try to develop and advance without losing the sequel of the previous chapters. However, for this opportunity I will only be talking about season 1 and another time I will comment on what I think about the others.

Es interesante ver como todas las madres entrenaban a sus hijas desde pequeñas para que de grandes pudiesen ser la opción de esposa perfectas, aunque, no precisamente me refiero a que las enseñaban a cocinar o a lavar la ropa, no, aquí las enseñan a tocar el piano, bordar, hablar diferentes idiomas, les enseñan a como comportarse a la hora del te, a la hora de la comida y posiblemente les enseñan todos los pasos de bailes que son acordes a la música que escucharían en su momento. Ah, si, olvide aclarar que este es una serie donde vamos a ver puras familias que cuentan con mucho dinero y por lo tanto, no es normal que enseñen a sus hijas o las preparen para realizar funciones en la cocina o aseo de la casa porque el principal objetivo de la familia era casar a las chicas con personas que tuviesen un buen status social, fuesen de buena familia y supiesen mantener la riqueza.

Así que, aquí vamos a ver como en cierta forma tanto las madres como las hijas compiten por demostrar quien es mejor y hacen todo lo que este a su alcance para lograr la aprobación de la reina y que sean seleccionadas como el "Diamante del año".
Era realmente decepcionante para las familias cuando las chicas que presentaban ante la reina no lograban ese titulo, pues, esto les daba la ventaja de ser la prioridad de los solteros de mejor status social.

It is interesting to see how all the mothers trained their daughters from an early age so that when they grew up they could be the perfect choice of wife, although, I don't exactly mean that they taught them to cook or wash clothes, no, here they teach them to play the piano, embroider, speak different languages, they teach them how to behave at tea time, at meal time and possibly teach them all the dance steps that are consistent with the music they would listen to at the time. Ah, yes, I forgot to clarify that this is a series where we are going to see purely families that have a lot of money and therefore, it is not normal that they teach their daughters or prepare them to perform functions in the kitchen or housekeeping because the main objective of the family was to marry the girls with people who had a good social status, were from a good family and knew how to maintain wealth.

So, here we are going to see how in a way both mothers and daughters compete to prove who is better and do everything in their power to get the queen's approval and to be selected as the “Diamond of the Year”.
It was really disappointing for the families when the girls they presented to the queen did not achieve this title, because this gave them the advantage of being the priority of the bachelors of better social status.

En esta temporada podemos observar como nos presentan una señorita casi perfecta. Con un vestido que juega muy bien con el tono de su piel y a pesar de no ser un vestido que quede pegado al cuerpo, se podría decir que resaltaba bien los atributos de Daphne (Protagonista principal). Esta chica tenía mucha delicadeza, sutileza y comparada con las otras jóvenes que presentaron para el momento, era quien sin duda debía llevarse el título del "Diamante de la temporada". Sin embargo, podemos observar que fue un título que causo mucho estrés a Daphne porque no se apresuraba a escoger a quien sería el "esposo ideal" y de no escoger a alguien pronto, obtendría el total desprecio de la Reina.

In this season we can see how we are presented with an almost perfect young lady. With a dress that plays very well with the tone of her skin and despite not being a dress that fits close to the body, it could be said that it highlighted well the attributes of Daphne (main protagonist). This girl had a lot of delicacy, subtlety and compared to the other young ladies presented at the time, she was the one who undoubtedly should take the title of “Diamond of the Season”. However, we can observe that it was a title that caused a lot of stress to Daphne because she did not hurry to choose who would be the “ideal husband” and if she did not choose someone soon, she would get the total contempt of the Queen.

No quiero ir muy lejos sin antes mencionar que una de las cosas que más atrajo mi atención de la serie y lo que más me gustó fue toda la ambientación donde se desarrollaban las escenas y es que puedo observar que pusieron atención a cada detalle porque es realmente hermoso los espacios donde se desarrollan los bailes, luego están los hermosos jardines, las calles, las casas de la familia y el castillo era una cosa muy impresionante y creo que trataron de enfocarse lo más que podían en las épocas antiguas, aunque, claro, podemos notar que hay mucho de modernismo.
Otro punto que atrapo mi atención es la selección musical que escogieron para colocar de fondo en ciertas escenas y sobre todo en los bailes. Sí, agradezco que la música era relajante, transmitía ciertas emociones y podrías engranar muy bien con lo que estaba sucediendo en ese momento en la serie, pero, hubiese aprecio un poco más si de verdad hubiesen utilizado música que verdaderamente fuese de la época que intentaban plasmar.

I don't want to go too far without mentioning that one of the things that most attracted my attention in the series and what I liked the most was the whole setting where the scenes took place and I can see that they paid attention to every detail because it is really beautiful the spaces where the dances take place, then there are the beautiful gardens, the streets, the family houses and the castle was a very impressive thing and I think they tried to focus as much as they could on the ancient times, although, of course, we can notice that there is a lot of modernism.
Another point that caught my attention is the musical selection they chose to place in the background in certain scenes and especially in the dances. Yes, I appreciate that the music was relaxing, it transmitted certain emotions and could fit very well with what was happening at that moment in the series, but, I would have appreciated it a little more if they had really used music that was truly from the era they were trying to capture.

No fue necesario que la serie avanzara tanto como para darnos de cuenta que Daphne no era tan perfecta, y que tenía defectos como cualquier otro, aunque, podría entenderla, porque, ¿quién querría casarse con un viejo baboso de aspecto indeseable? Sin embargo, siento que se propasaron un poco al hacerla un personaje tan curioso y desesperante como para llegar al punto de casi descubrir lo que sucedía entre las parejas luego del matrimonio. Ah, sí, esto es algo relevante y es que ninguna joven sabía o conocía como era que se creaban los niños y para las madres era verdaderamente un tema complejo de tocar con sus hijas, por lo que al parecer, les tocaba a ellas solas descubrir junto a sus esposos que era lo que sucedía en la famosa Luna de Miel.
Pero, claro, este tema era delicado de tocar entre las chicas y era aún más delicado que un chico se propasara con alguna de ellas o si tan solo se atrevía a plantar un simple beso en sus labios y estaba totalmente prohibido hablar sobre lo que sucedía en una habitación de recién casados. Y sí, vamos a ver como los hombres si cuentan con la total libertad de visitar ciertos lugares para tener encuentros íntimos con mujeres, pero, estas mujeres eran quizás viudas, o mujeres que no tenían una familia rica que las respaldara o simplemente eran mujeres que decidieron romper con las tradiciones y hacer algo diferente.
En este punto, siento que las escenas subidas de tono estaban realmente demás y que dañan la serie, bueno, esto es mi punto de vista porque seguramente si habrá personas que la disfrutan en todo su esplendor.

It didn't take the series that far to realize that Daphne wasn't so perfect, and that she was as flawed as anyone else, although, I could understand her, because who would want to marry an undesirable looking old slimeball? However, I feel like they went a bit overboard in making her such a curious and desperate character as to get to the point of almost finding out what happened between couples after marriage. Ah, yes, this is something relevant and is that no young woman knew or knew how children were created and for mothers it was really a complex topic to discuss with their daughters, so apparently, it was up to them alone to discover with their husbands what happened on the famous honeymoon.
But, of course, this topic was delicate to touch among the girls and it was even more delicate for a boy to make a pass at one of them or if he even dared to plant a simple kiss on their lips and it was totally forbidden to talk about what happened in a newlyweds' room. And yes, we are going to see how men do have the total freedom to visit certain places to have intimate encounters with women, but, these women were perhaps widows, or women who did not have a rich family to back them up or they were simply women who decided to break with traditions and do something different.
At this point, I feel that the racy scenes were really overdone and hurt the series, well, this is my point of view because surely there will be people who enjoy it in all its splendor.

Por otro lado, debo decir que me decepcionó un poco la manera en como el Duque llega a formar una especie de relación con Daphne y luego terminan por casarse. Sí, fue interesante como el soltero más codiciado termina quedándose con nuestro "Diamante de temporada". Pero, realmente fue otra la manera en como los personajes terminan interesándose uno por el otro y gran parte se debe al deseo carnal y a la inocencia de Daphne que no lograba descifrar que era lo que le sucedía cuando el Duque le susurraba cosas al oído y luego la dejaban pensando. Bueno, es que también está la parte del motivo tan chimbo por el cual ellos toman la decisión de hacer creer a las personas que les sucedía algo. Quizás este pensamiento se debe a que Daphne tubo de pretendiente a un familiar de la Reina que era muy apuesto, educado, tierno y tenía su toque de romántico y respetuoso.

On the other hand, I must say that I was a bit disappointed in the way the Duke comes to form some sort of relationship with Daphne and then they end up getting married. Yes, it was interesting how the most eligible bachelor ends up staying with our “Seasonal Diamond”. But, it was really another way in which the characters end up being interested in each other and much of it is due to the carnal desire and the innocence of Daphne who could not figure out what was happening to her when the Duke whispered things in her ear and then left her thinking. Well, there is also the part about the chimbo motive why they make the decision to make people believe that something was happening to them. Perhaps this thought is due to the fact that Daphne had as a suitor a relative of the Queen who was very handsome, polite, tender and had her touch of romantic and respectful.

Me parece que la temporada tuvo un buen desarrollo hasta que Daphne y el Duque se casaron, porque, desde allí, bueno, empiezan a venir escenas bastante subidas de tono y de un color rojo muy intenso. Escenas que considero eran totalmente innecesarias porque lo realmente curioso era descifrar a que se debía el comportamiento indiferente que solía tener el duque y sobre todo que querías descubrir cual era esa razón de peso por la cual el Duque no deseaba contraer matrimonio.
Bueno, al final, logras ver el proceso de una pareja que se encuentra ante una dificultad, (considero que no era una dificultad compleja o realmente impactante) que paso por un proceso de llegar al punto de poner fecha para finalizar aquel matrimonio que por equivocación había sucedido y que luego logran encontrar un punto que les permite conservar su actual estado y alimentando el amor que decían tenerse.

It seems to me that the season had a good development until Daphne and the Duke got married, because, from there, well, some scenes start to come quite risqué and of a very intense red color. Scenes that I consider were totally unnecessary because the really curious thing was to decipher what was the reason for the indifferent behavior that the Duke used to have and above all that you wanted to find out what was that compelling reason why the Duke did not want to marry.
Well, in the end, you get to see the process of a couple facing a difficulty, (I think it was not a complex or really shocking difficulty) that went through a process of getting to the point of setting a date to end that marriage that by mistake had happened and then manage to find a point that allows them to keep their current status and nurturing the love they said they had for each other.

Algo que me gusta de la temporada es que no pierden tiempo en escenas sin sentido, que simplemente sirven de relleno para alargar más la temporada y a medida que se desarrolla la trama, vas interesándote por ciertos puntos que quedan inconclusos, pero que más adelante son todos resueltos. También, es que desde el inicio logras interesarte por ciertos personajes y tener un poco de odio por otros.

Bueno, realmente no quería extenderme tanto, pero, trataba de no dejar que se me escapara algunas de las cosas que quería contarles y que consideraba importantes de mencionar, por otra parte, procure en la medida que fuese posible el tema de no hacerles Spoilers!

Something I like about the season is that they don't waste time on meaningless scenes, which simply serve as filler to extend the season and as the plot develops, you become interested in certain points that are left unfinished, but later are all resolved. Also, from the beginning you get interested in certain characters and have a bit of hatred for others.

Well, I really didn't want to extend so much, but, I tried not to let slip some of the things I wanted to tell you and that I considered important to mention, on the other hand, I tried as much as possible not to make Spoilers!
