Nowhere (netflix movie review)

Buenos días Hivers, feliz inicio de semana para todos. Ya hace varias semanas que no publicaba nada sobre cine y varios días en general que no estaba activo por cuestiones de cansancio y que andaba bastante ocupado tando con la campaña de Octubre de Inleo y siendo apoyo en el trabajo de mi pareja.

Sin embargo, tenía pendiente desde hace tiempo hacer la reseña de esta siguiente película que la verdad me ha dejado con la ansiedad y los nervios hecho trizas.

Una de las primeras cosas que me atrajo verla es que está basada en hechos reales, y uno de los temas más complicados y fuertes actualmente es la migración "ilegal". Algo que incluso se ve en mi actual país.

Pongo esa palabra en particular en comillas, porque a mi punto de vista no es un tema de ilegalidad es más el sentido que es algo extremo la forma en que las personas arriesgan sus vidas cruzando fronteras y hasta kilómetros de bosques apostando a la esperanza de encontrar un mejor lugar que les permita tener una calidad de vida más positiva.

En el caso de la trama de Nowhere, estas personas se ven en la necesidad de abandonar no solo sus casas, también el país donde han vivido toda una vida por una cuestion de politica y guerra. Dentro de este conflicto bélico, siempre los más afectados son las personas inocentes externas a dicha guerra.

Familias son masacradas, las mujeres son violadas para luego ser brutalmente asesinadas y los hombres asesinados a sangre fría frente a sus familias. Entonces se convierte la emigración, en el único escape que tienen para sobrevivir.

El problema es que estas fronteras siempre están fuertemente custodiados, sin embargo en la trama de nowhere nos muestra lo que es capaz el ser humano para poder sobrevivir.

It's been several weeks since I posted anything about movies and several days in general that I was not active due to fatigue and that I was quite busy with Inleo's October campaign and being a support at my partner's work.


However, I had been waiting for a long time to review this next film that has left me with anxiety and nerves in tatters.


One of the first things that attracted me to see it is that it is based on real events, and one of the most complicated and strongest issues currently is the "illegal" migration. Something that is even seen in my current country.


I put that particular word in quotation marks, because in my point of view it is not an issue of illegality, it is more the sense that it is something extreme the way people risk their lives crossing borders and even kilometers of forests betting on the hope of finding a better place that allows them to have a more positive quality of life.


In the case of the plot of Nowhere, these people are forced to abandon not only their homes, but also the country where they have lived their whole lives because of politics and war. Within this warlike conflict, the most affected are always the innocent people outside the war.


Families are massacred, women are raped and then brutally murdered and men are murdered in cold blood in front of their families. So emigration becomes the only escape they have to survive.


The problem is that these borders are always heavily guarded, but the plot of nowhere shows us what humans are capable of in order to survive.

A primera vista el plan de esta pareja para escapar se veía muy bien, el hecho de que existiera esa esperanza de vida era algo que iban a tomar a las fuerzas y más por el hecho de que estaban esperando un hijo; un mal momento para tener una nueva vida si a mi me lo preguntasen.

Vender todo y dar lo poco que quedaba para poder pagar las altas tarifas que los intermediarios del escape piden. Un escape que inicia con lo poco humano que es tener que esconderse dentro de un camión, con la posibilidad de ser fácilmente encontrados y asesinados.

Justo esto es el pensamiento de la joven quien no estaba del toda segura de lo que estaban haciendo, tendría tal vez ese presentimiento o sexto sentido que le decía que algo muy malo iba a ocurrir. Pero es que nada bueno se puede esperar de un intento tan peligroso de escape como este, siendo que no serían los únicos que lo habían intentado antes y por ende ya estos rebeldes o asesinos tendrían un precedente de cómo actuar para poder encontrar lo que buscan.

Justo esto sucede en medio de la tensión, y el efecto o consecuencia es más colateral de lo que podemos imaginar, el hecho de que existan personas que disfrutan este tipo de caserías de personas inocentes buscando rehacer sus vidas en otros horizontes, realmente despiadado y sin una gota de humanidad.

! [ENglish Text] At first glance this couple's plan to escape looked very good, the fact that there was such a life expectancy was something they were going to take by force and more so by the fact that they were expecting a child; a bad time to have a new life if you ask me.


Selling everything and giving what little was left to be able to pay the high fees that the escape intermediaries ask for. An escape that starts with how unhuman it is to have to hide inside a truck, with the possibility of being easily found and killed.


Just this is the thought of the young woman who was not entirely sure of what they were doing, maybe she had that premonition or sixth sense that told her that something very bad was going to happen. But nothing good can be expected from such a dangerous escape attempt as this, since they would not be the only ones who had tried it before and therefore these rebels or murderers would already have a precedent of how to act in order to find what they are looking for.


Just this happens in the middle of the tension, and the effect or consequence is more collateral than we can imagine, the fact that there are people who enjoy this kind of fall of innocent people looking to rebuild their lives in other horizons, really ruthless and without a drop of humanity.

Las cosas empeoran aún más, cuando me doy cuenta que no solo se trata del trayecto de un camión, también sobre la travesía de un barco, y no precisamente de uno común y corriente, hablamos de uno de carga, enorme y con cientos de containers, que posiblemente tengan más personas que mercancía en su interior.

Esto es aún más extremo de lo que pude haber imaginado, y me hace pensar en lo bendecido que es haber nacido en un país donde no hay ese tipo de guerras.

Para complicar más la situación de estas personas y en particular la de esta pareja que se terminaron separando durante la travesía. Una tormenta se acerca haciendo que el barco no solo pierda su horizonte también que varios containers se caigan al mar.

Entre esos, aquellos donde habían personas que terminaron en la profundidad del mar ya que estaban encerradas sin posibilidad alguna de abrir las puertas de metal.

En lo particular a esta joven la salva el hecho de que estaba sola y la mercancía que tenía el container no era pesado, algo que le permitía flotar. Pero ya el hecho de estar perdida en el mar, sin comida, sin agua, sin posibilidad alguna que la rescaten, y el hecho de estar en un punto de su embarazo del cual en cualquier momento puede dar a luz, es algo no solo desesperante, es aterrador.

! [English Text] Things get even worse when I realize that it is not only about the journey of a truck, but also about the crossing of a ship, and not just an ordinary one, we are talking about a huge cargo ship with hundreds of containers, possibly with more people than merchandise inside.


This is even more extreme than I could have imagined, and it makes me think how blessed I am to have been born in a country where there are no such wars.


To further complicate the situation for these people and in particular this couple who ended up getting separated during the crossing. A storm approaches causing the ship not only to lose its horizon but also several containers to fall into the sea.


Among them, those where there were people who ended up in the depth of the sea because they were enclosed without any possibility of opening the metal doors.


In particular, this young woman was saved by the fact that she was alone and the goods in the container were not heavy, something that allowed her to float. But the fact that she was lost at sea, without food, without water, without any possibility of being rescued, and the fact that she was at a point in her pregnancy where she could give birth at any moment, is not only desperate, it is terrifying.

He aquí la parte más interesante por lo crucial de la trama. Donde una mujer se ve sometida a explotar sus límites tanto físicos como creativos para poder sobrevivir.

Hay tantas cosas que se le ocurren que es grandioso ante la situación, pero hay otras limitantes y barreras que la hacen decaer y con ello avivar la ansiedad del espectador.

En si, esta es una trama que muestra lo violento y crudo que puede ser el hecho de emigrar, no en el sentido de que empiezas de cero, es más en la visión de todo el esfuerzo y todo lo malo que tiene que pasar una persona o familia para poder sobrevivir al proceso.

A mi los últimos minutos de esta película me robó por completo el aliento, el amor de madre es algo hermosamente genuino y no creo que exista una muestra de amor como lo que nos hacen ver en esta trama y todo lo que lo envuelve.

Si bien es una trama exageradamente trágica, tiene varios mensajes claves e importantes a considerar que la hacen una joya de película e incluso más real que el simple hecho de una actuación.

! [English Text] This is the most interesting part of the plot. Where a woman is subjected to exploit her physical and creative limits in order to survive.


There are so many things that she comes up with that is great in the face of the situation, but there are other limitations and barriers that make her decay and thus stoke the viewer's anxiety.


In itself, this is a plot that shows how violent and raw can be the fact of emigrating, not in the sense that you start from scratch, it is more in the vision of all the effort and all the bad that a person or family has to go through in order to survive the process.


For me the last minutes of this movie completely stole my breath away, the love of a mother is something beautifully genuine and I don't think there is any other show of love like what we see in this plot and all that surrounds it.


While it is an exaggeratedly tragic plot, it has several key and important messages to consider that make it a gem of a film and even more real than the simple fact of a performance.
