Castlevania (Netflix series review)

Saludos Hivers, han sido ya dos semanas exactas en las que no he creado contenido por aqui. Y digo esto porque a pesar de que no tengo mi blog actualizado, he estado con todo el movimiento y campaña de Leofinance y su rebrand.

Pero toca hacer una pausa justa y necesaria para volver a mi camino que es el blogging, sobre todo porque tengo muchas series y películas en mi cabeza de las cuales por supuesto hay que hablar por acá.

Tal vez esta serie de hoy a muchos nos les guste o puedan sentir que ya está un poco desfasado considerando que si es un poco viejo pero fue hasta hace una semana que ví las cuatro temporadas de esta serie sangrienta y que por cierto es animada, como suelen gustarme mucho.

Castlevania, cuando escucho este nombre pienso en los tantos juegos que pude experimentar sobre esta saga, desde aquellos en el nintendo DS que tenía hasta unos gráficos maravillosos en el Xbox 360.

! [English Text] Greetings Hivers, it's been exactly two weeks that I haven't created any content here. And I say this because although I do not have my blog updated, I have been with all the movement and campaign of Leofinance and its rebrand.


But it's time to make a just and necessary pause to return to my blogging path, especially because I have a lot of series and movies in my head which of course I have to talk about here.


Maybe many of you don't like this series today or may feel that it is already a little outdated considering that it is a little old but it was until a week ago that I saw the four seasons of this bloody series and that by the way it is animated, as I usually like a lot.


Castlevania, when I hear this name I think of the many games I could experience about this saga, from those on the Nintendo DS that had wonderful graphics on the Xbox 360.

Cabe destacar que esta serie es igual de sangriento que estos juegos, y pues cuando se trata de vampiros y bestias de la noche es obvio que hay que ver mucha sangre.

Sin embargo me enfoque en que por fin supe un poco más sobre la historia de Drácula y las razones por la cuál ha tomado venganza con la raza humana de esa forma tan frívola.

No sé si está historia es la real o no en cuanto al origen y transcendencia de este vampiro en las historietas y libros, pero debo decir que me ha gustado mucho.

Es la primera vez que veo una historia de Drácula, en esta ocasión algo animado y relacionado también en el juego. Y me ha gustado ese lado humano que le han otorgado pues al fin y al cabo antes de tener esos colmillos Drácula era un hombre de ciencias como se destaca en la serie.

However, I focused on the fact that I finally learned a little more about Dracula's history and the reasons why he has taken revenge on the human race in such a frivolous way.


I don't know if this is the real story or not regarding the origin and transcendence of this vampire in the comics and books, but I must say that I liked it a lot.


It's the first time I've seen a Dracula story, this time something animated and related also in the game. And I liked the human side that they have given him because after all before having those fangs Dracula was a man of science as highlighted in the series.

Pensar que un vampiro pueda enamorarse de una humana se podría decir que es un cliché, algo común que pase en los libretos, pero considero que estamos en el origen de esta especie e historia de ficción es decir, es dracula, creo yo fue el primero en experimentar eso en nuestras historietas.

Lo digo porque hoy en día toman mucha relación por ejemplo a este evento de enamoramiento en el caso de hotel Transilvania, donde dracula se enamora de una humana y la quema su propia especie.

Bueno en esta serie sucede lo mismo, confunden la ciencia aprendida o trasladada de conocimiento del conde dracula hacia su esposa quien le da un uso medicinal para salvar a su pueblo.

Esto ante los ojos de la religión era una práctica satánica. Cegados ante ello llevan a la hoguera a una mujer inocente cuyo verdugo hace de todo un muerte atroz no solo para quienes le han echo daño a su esposa también para quienes no hicieron nada para detener su asesinato.

[English Text] To think that a vampire can fall in love with a human could be said that it is a cliché, something common that happens in the books, but I consider that we are in the origin of this species and fiction story, that is to say, it is Dracula, I think he was the first to experience that in our comics.


I say this because today they take a lot of relation for example to this event of falling in love in the case of hotel Transylvania, where dracula falls in love with a human and burns his own species.


Well in this series the same thing happens, they confuse the science learned or transferred knowledge of Count Dracula to his wife who gives him a medicinal use to save his people.


This in the eyes of religion was a satanic practice. Blinded by this, they take to the stake an innocent woman whose executioner makes everything a heinous death not only for those who have harmed his wife but also for those who did nothing to stop her murder.

Se levanta una promesa en los cielos de que en un tiempo limitado tienen la posibilidad de obtener su perdone algo como espiar sus pecados. Sin embargo la gente del pueblo ignora la advertencia y con el paso del tiempo el caos entero les cae encima.

Debo acotar que aquí no solo se ve sangre, también viceras y todo lo que contiene un cuerpo humano por dentro. Así que está clasificado como una serie Gore y es bastante justificado.

La forma grotesca en la que son asesinadas las personas es la esencia o más bien ese dolor intenso que siente dracula ante la perdida de su esposa.

Ahora bien dentro de esta misma historia hay un lado humano proveniente del hijo de dracula quien es mitad humano y vampiro.

No sé si recuerden haber escuchado el nombre de Alucard, pues bien este ser que es visto como el salvador para un grupo de hechiceros es el elemento clave para la salvación de la humanidad.

Pues Alucard defiende la posición de su madre quien a pesar de que haya muerto, no quería que la humanidad entera cayera en la desgracia que Dracula podía hacerles experimentar.

Eso me hizo recordar un poco a cuando cristo le pidió a su padre que perdonará a los humanos porque no sabían lo que hacían. Prácticamente lo mismo, una súplica sabiendo que su muerte iba a ser el dolor y razón para alguien que tenía el poder de destruirlo todo.

! [English Text] A promise is raised in the heavens that in a limited time they have the possibility to get their pardon something like spying on their sins. However, the townspeople ignore the warning and with the passage of time the whole chaos falls on them.


I should point out that here you not only see blood, but also viceras and everything that contains a human body inside. So it is classified as a Gore series and it is quite justified.


The grotesque way in which people are killed is the essence or rather that intense pain that Dracula feels at the loss of his wife.


Now within this same story there is a human side coming from dracula's son who is half human and vampire.


I do not know if you remember having heard the name of Alucard, well this being who is seen as the savior for a group of sorcerers is the key element for the salvation of humanity.


Well Alucard defends the position of his mother who despite her death, did not want the whole of humanity to fall into the misfortune that Dracula could make them experience.


That reminded me a bit of when Christ asked his father to forgive humans because they didn't know what they were doing. Practically the same, a plea knowing that his death was going to be the pain and reason for someone who had the power to destroy everything.

Ha Alucard se le suma un miembro de la familia Belmont quienes tienen por tarea la casa y destrucción de vampiros. Algo bastante ilógico considerando que Alucard es vampiro también, pero hay una profecía de por medio que hace referencia a que una maga y un cazador de vampiros serían quienes detuvieran los planes de Drácula.

En esta historia de cuatro temporadas aparte de sangre, mordidas, efectos especiales de poderes mágicos y algo de alcohol, también hay traición de razas.

Considero que Dracula llevó a los extremos su venganza y era algo que estaba afectando a su raza pues el riesgo de extinción o incluso de quedar sin humanos a quien comer eran muchas. Se veía claramente como una misión suicida.

Esto hizo que se levantarán grupos rebeldes dentro del clan vampiro y facilitó de cierto modo que los planes de Drácula colapsaran.

! [English Text] Alucard is joined by a member of the Belmont family whose task is to house and destroy vampires. Something quite illogical considering that Alucard is also a vampire, but there is a prophecy in the middle that refers to a magician and a vampire hunter who would be the ones to stop Dracula's plans.


In this four-season story aside from blood, bites, magical powers special effects and some alcohol, there is also race betrayal.


I consider that Dracula took his revenge to extremes and it was something that was affecting his race as the risk of extinction or even running out of humans to eat were many. It was clearly seen as a suicide mission.


This caused rebel groups to rise up within the vampire clan and made it somewhat easier for Dracula's plans to collapse.

Hay una parte interesante en esta historia donde Alucard en cierto modo experimenta el dolor de su padre, lo que tal vez le llevo a cometer actos de crueldad con la humanidad.

Sin embargo no siguió su mismo camino, se aferró a quienes realmente si son sus verdaderos amigos. Y juntos no solo acaban con los planes de dracula, también con aquellos quienes quieren seguir su legado y tomar poder entero de naciones.

En lo particular me ha fascinado, y creo que se ha quedado corto. No sé si hay otras temporadas, pero lo dudo viendo un final bastante agradable dónde se da una segunda oportunidad al destino, a ese origen engorroso de una mala actitud de ambas partes tanto la humana como la vampírica.

Sin embargo ya ha salido una nueva serie de única temporada (por ahora, pues se ve que hay continuación), de un nuevo miembro Belmont del cual les hablaré en el próximo post.

! [English Text] There is an interesting part in this story where Alucard in a way experiences the pain of his father, which perhaps led him to commit acts of cruelty to humanity.


However, he did not follow his own path, he clung to those who really are his true friends. And together they not only put an end to Dracula's plans, but also to those who want to follow his legacy and take over entire nations.


I was particularly fascinated by it, and I think it fell short. I don't know if there are other seasons, but I doubt it seeing a quite nice ending where a second chance is given to destiny, to that cumbersome origin of a bad attitude from both sides, the human and the vampire.


However, a new series of only one season has already been released (for now, as it seems that there is a continuation), of a new Belmont member of which I will tell you about in the next post.
