Black Adam (HBO movie review)

Saludos Hivers, feliz viernes para todos. Ayer tenía pensado actualizar mi blog con algún contenido pendiente, pero la verdad es que el cuerpo no me daba, así que suche y me mentalice en descansar un poco porque estos días atrás y semanas también han sido algo fuerte.

He aprovechado hace un par de días de entrar en la cuenta HBO que me prestaron porque senti que netflix no tenia ese tipo de drama que estaba buscando en una película, a veces se me complica buscar algo bueno que ver en pareja, las plataformas de streaming necesitan actualizarse más a menudo.

Sin embargo en HBO max conseguí una trama de superhéroes y en particular una que tenía tiempo a la vista. A pesar de que no sea un fanático de los guiones de DC cuando puedo las veo pero sin fanatismo alguno, caso contrario lo que me sucede cuando se trata de MArvel que casi me las he visto todas incluido las series.

Y gracias al hecho de que soy activo con el portafolio de Marvel, es que pude darme cuenta de muchas y exageradas similitudes de Black Adam con otras cintas de héroes de Marvel, por no decir que parece toda una copia. Pero pues, lo importante es que necesitaba entretenimiento y esta película me la ha dado al punto que me agrado la elección que hice.

! [English Text] Greetings Hivers, happy Friday to all. Yesterday I had planned to update my blog with some pending content, but the truth is that the body did not give me, so I suche and I mentalize myself to rest a little because these days ago and weeks have also been something strong.


I took advantage a couple of days ago to enter the HBO account that I borrowed because I felt that Netflix did not have that kind of drama that I was looking for in a movie, sometimes it is difficult for me to find something good to watch in couple, streaming platforms need to be updated more often.


However on HBO max I did get a superhero plot and in particular one that I had my eye on for a while. Even though I am not a fan of DC storylines when I can I watch them but without any fanaticism whatsoever, opposite case what happens to me when it comes to MArvel that I have almost watched them all including the series.


And thanks to the fact that I am active with the Marvel portfolio, is that I could realize many and exaggerated similarities of Black Adam with other Marvel heroes movies, not to say that it looks like a copy. But well, the important thing is that I needed entertainment and this movie has given it to me to the point that I liked the choice I made.

Primero que todo, Black Adam el héroe como tal tiene ese parecido en cuanto a sus poderes y la proyección que le dieron a Superman. Un rol donde debe elegir cómo usar sus poderes, si ayudar a la humanidad con la esclavitud y explotación o si simplemente obedecer a ese sentido de venganza en su interior por su trágico pasado.

No tengo idea si este personaje forma parte de una historieta y si es tan corpulento y medio patán como se ve en la trama, lo que si se me hizo bastante incomodo fue el hecho de a quien escogieron para que le diera vida al personaje. Si me preguntan "La roca" ha sido de esos actores que me gusta verlo solo en las comedias, del resto no e de mi agrado.

Black Adam según muestran en la historia de la película nace de la revolución de cientos de personas esclavizadas que son usadas para buscar un tipo de mineral mágico que le dará a un dictador el poder de esclavizar o aniquilar el mundo entero.

Este héroe es escogido por unos monjes que resguardan un poder para evitar que el caos se de en el mundo y poder evitar que se lleve a cabo el despertar de dichos poderes malignos. Sin embargo, una de las cosas que me ha confundido es el uso de "Shazam" en la película, pues si bien recuerdo hay un héroe (que no tengo idea si se trata del mismo en otra versión) que incluso le hicieron una película.

! [English Text] First of all, Black Adam the hero as such has that resemblance in terms of his powers and the projection he was given to Superman. A role where he must choose how to use his powers, whether to help humanity with slavery and exploitation or whether to simply obey that sense of revenge within himself for his tragic past.


I have no idea if this character is part of a comic book and if he is as corpulent and half-assed as he looks in the plot, what I did find quite uncomfortable was the fact of who they chose to give life to the character. If you ask me "The Rock" has been one of those actors that I like to see him only in comedies, the rest is not to my liking.


Black Adam as shown in the story of the film is born from the revolution of hundreds of enslaved people who are used to search for a type of magic mineral that will give a dictator the power to enslave or annihilate the entire world.


This hero is chosen by some monks who guard a power to prevent chaos in the world and to prevent the awakening of these evil powers. However, one of the things that has confused me is the use of "Shazam" in the movie, because as I remember there is a hero (I have no idea if it is the same in another version) who even had a movie made for him.

Me tomó por sorpresa ver a Sarah Shari siendo que la primera y última vez que la vi actuar fue en la serie polemica de "Sex/life" que por cierto estoy intentando terminar de ver porque es exageradamente sexual, y justo esto es lo que no me cuadra al verla en estos tópicos de superhéroes.

Pero bueno, ella cumple un rol importante ya que es quien "invoca" a Adam quien presuntamente está dormido a la espera de ser llamado para liberar a los nuevos esclavos. A primera vista se ve un héroe invencible, pero ya sabemos que todos incluso superman tienen un punto débil y en el caso de él es ese material que le dio poder a una vieja corona que se supone debe proteger.

Dentro de la trama hay cosas que empiezan no encajar y es de poco que se va mostrando la verdadera identidad de este héroe y quien realmente es la estatua que hicieron en honor a alguien que ayudó a la liberación.

Adam es realmente alguien cuyo poder es amenazante para el mundo, incluso se ve sus ansias de simplemente acabar con todo lo que se le atraviese, como si quisiera vengarse por algo. Según algunas escenas, yo supuse que era por el asesinato de su padre hace muchos miles de años atrás, pero ya luego él mismo cuenta su trágica historia que le da un giro completo a la trama.

! [English Text] It took me by surprise to see Sarah Shari since the first and last time I saw her acting was in the controversial series "Sex/life" which by the way I'm trying to finish watching because it's overly sexual, and this is what doesn't fit me when I see her in these superhero topics.


But well, she plays an important role as she is the one who "summons" Adam who is presumably asleep waiting to be called to free the new slaves. At first glance he looks like an invincible hero, but we already know that everyone even Superman has a weak point and in his case it is that material that gave power to an old crown that he is supposed to protect.


Within the plot there are things that start to not fit and it is from little to little that the true identity of this hero is being shown and who really is the statue that they made in honor of someone who helped the liberation.


Adam is really someone whose power is threatening to the world, you even see his eagerness to simply wipe out anything that comes his way, as if he wants revenge for something. According to some scenes, I assumed it was for the murder of his father many thousands of years ago, but then he tells his own tragic story that gives a complete twist to the plot.

Ante tal amenaza, se aparece en la misma ciudad un grupo de superhéroes quienes se hacen llamar o forman parte de "La liga de la justicia". Personas que "mantienen" el equilibrio del mundo y ponen bajo control cualquier amenaza de heroes corruptos como en el caso de Adam.

En este punto fue cuando más sentí deja vu, porque básicamente este grupo de héroes lo puedes identificar con los de marvel, que por cierto, hasta el jet de X-men han incluido con un parecido bastante obvio.

El gigante que es medio torpe tiene similitud al hombre hormiga, también está uno parecido a magneto con doctor strange, tormenta de x-men y Halcón de Capitán América. Incluso el lugar donde tienen su cuartel es igual a la escuela que construyó Xavier de X-men.

Por un momento pensé que era un tipo de tributo a Marvel, pero cuando sabes la historia tras DC y esta franquicia podemos decir o que uno no es creativo o simplemente lo hacen para molestar.

En cuanto al final de esta trama, me ha dejado la verdad esa expectativa de que habrá una segunda parte, tal vez agreguen al héroe como un cameo o encuentro de héroes en la liga de justicia en un futuro, pero no es que este ansioso por ello, y no me molestaría que hagan un cambio de actor.

At this point was when I felt more deja vu, because basically this group of heroes you can identify with those of marvel, which by the way, even the jet of X-men have included with a fairly obvious resemblance.


The giant that is half clumsy has a similarity to Ant-Man, there is also one similar to Magneto with Doctor Strange, Storm from X-men and Hawk from Captain America. Even the place where they have their headquarters is the same as the school Xavier from X-men built.


For a moment I thought it was some kind of tribute to Marvel, but when you know the history behind DC and this franchise we can tell either one is not creative or they just do it to annoy.


As for the ending of this plot, it has left me the truth that expectation that there will be a sequel, maybe they will add the hero as a cameo or meeting of heroes in the justice league in the future, but not that I'm looking forward to it, and I wouldn't mind if they make a change of actor.
