Luego de una espera que se hizo casi eterna finalmente tuvimos la oportunidad de ver la segunda temporada de Invincible, o mejor dicho, la primera mitad de la temporada, una decisión por parte de Amazon Prime Que pareció amargar a una buena porción de sus seguidores, pero que considerando lo sustanciosos que resultan estos cuatro episodios es bastante lógico.

Recordemos que la serie animada puede tener una duración de hasta 1 hora por un solo capítulo, y el tiempo se ha aprovechado al máximo para sumergirnos de nuevo en una de las historias de superhéroes más impresionantes de los últimos tiempo, algo que no es poca cosa considerando lo abusadas que están este tipo de obras.

Y es que si la primera parte trataba de enfrentar a Mark al hecho de que ser superhéroe era un poco más amargo de lo que pensaba, en la segunda temporada de Invincible debemos lidiar con las consecuencias psicológicas y materiales de los daños causados por su padre.

Es refrescante que a pesar de tener un punto de partida tan lineal, Invincible siga invirtiendo una buena cantidad de tiempo a introducir nuevos personajes y subtramas que operan organicamente, algo que nos hace sentir más interés el universo que estamos observando y afianza nuestro cariño (uno odio) por los rostros familiares.

Cómo siempre he dicho, una de las principales virtudes de Invincible radica en la forma en la que deconstruye los conceptos tradicionales de los cómics y los superhéroes pero al mismo tiempo lo hace con respecto y un nivel de compresión elevado de todas las fuentes que buscan homenajear, algo que puede darle un toque de inocencia a la serie en general pero que también le da espacio para ser violenta, cruda y cínica cuando es necesario.

Aunque la idea de un "Superman" en la vida real se ha llevado a cabo cientos de veces, lo fascinante de Invincible es que aparte de Superman también se encarga de llevar a la realidad otros conceptos más alocados como los equipos de superhéroes, los clones, los alienígenas y la existencia de múltiples universos, todo presentado de la manera más pulcra posible y estableciendo muy bien que cada uno de estos conceptos tendrá en la vida de nuestros personajes.
