Spring's Awakening (Original Poetry & Short Film)
Spring's Awakening
a penitent crow caws.
Awakened by tremulous cheeps,
warbling and murmuring water,
the wetland emerges from sleep.
Leaves shadow trunks,
stippled with light,
spring’s exhaled by trees,
dispelling the big freeze.
A pool reflects new life.
Reeds shimmy in breeze-born
sojourn from winter’s slow denial,
uplifted by the sun’s face,
choking the river’s flow.
Brown mirror patterned by branches,
capillaries of light, reflected on the surface,
bleeding life into currents drawn from earth.
Spring sings in roots and births in the canopy.
Birds chorus allegro, frogs harmonize.
Dogs grow wild, enthused by butterflies
drifting in blossom-blown cacophony.
Life’s prophecy, fulfilled in a sigh.

Excellent poem about spring, in which you offer us very suggestive images of it and what it feels like in an environment full of beauty and peace. Also, your reading and the images in the video are a plus. Best regards, @raj808.
Thanks blockchainpoets admin.
Lol, sometimes I worry that I write too much about the natural world 😉 but then when I think about it those thoughts go away. I guess imagery flows intuitively for me when reflecting on nature and the rhythms of the seasons.
It has traditionally been a mainstay for poets down the ages to reflect upon and personify natural forces... but I think it still bears relevance in the modern age, especially with the continuing pollution and disruption of natural processes. I often wonder if future generations will see the same cyclic forces we do.
Anyway, I'll continue to write about all my experiences and reverence for nature both for my own spiritual nourishment and (hopefully) for others to enjoy 🙂 🌿
An entire homage to the awakening from the cold slumber of nature, your poem would make emotions bloom in the coldest winter.
Hi franciscoluis 👋
Thanks for that wonderful compliment about my work

Ha ha, well winter is coming 😂... but unlike in Game of Thrones Spring should be quickly along after 😉
Then receive a warm greeting from Santa Marta, Colombia, a land where the waves of the Caribbean Sea rest, and where winter is a rainy season that refreshes the afternoons, at the feet of its snow-capped mountains. 🌊☀️🌦
