LOVE AND MONSTERS -MY REVIEW
Is a season of movie o'clock . Today I have an exceptional and captivating movie which none can afford to miss.
THE PLOT
This movie blends action, comedy , Romance and heartfelt drama directed by Michael Matthews and starring Dylan O’Brien. The movie is set in a world where a mysterious chemical explosion has caused great mutations in animals turning them into deadly monsters that roam the earth
The movie centres on Joel Dawson played by (Dylan's O'Brien) a young man who seven years after the catastrophic event is living in an underground colony with other survivors. Despite the brutal new world, Doel’s life is mundane, marked by routine and isolation.
He misses his high school sweetheart Aimee (Jessica Henwick) who lives in a distant colony. The tragedy of the monster - infested world has left him unable to connect with the people around him, haunted by the fear of venturing into the wilderness outside the safe zones.
Joel's life takes a turn when he discovers that Amiee has left him a voice message which sparks a desire in him to reunite to her. Motivated by love and sense of adventure. Joel decides to embark on a perilous journey through the monster filled landscape armed with little more than his courage and a makeshift weapon.
As he makes his way through dangerous terrain, Joel confronts terrifying creatures including giant insects, massive amphibians and other mutated beasts. Along the way he meets a few other survivors who helped him grow and face his fears. One notable character is Clyde Michael Rooker, a seasoned survivalist and his companion, a dog named Boy.
Clyde teaches Joel practical survival skills and provides guidance on how to navigate the chaotic world. Despite his lack of experience and his initial clumsiness Joel starts to grow into a more capable survivor gaining confidence and overcoming the fear that once held him back..
Through the journey Joel also begins to learn the values of community and the importance of relationships. His hand nativity about survival is replaced by an understanding of the word and people around him. The bond he forms with Clyde and Boy highlights the movie theme of friendship, resilience and the importance of staying connected in a fractured world.
The movie pacing is dynamic, balancing moments of intense action with quiet introspective scenes where jork grapples with his fears, and growing love for Amiee. These quieter moments add death to the character of Joel allowing viewers to empathize with his struggle.
Alongside the perilous journey Joel is constantly forced to confront his own vulnerability, proving that true bravery often lies in defeating monsters but in facing one's personal fears and uncertainties. As Joel reaches the colony where Amiee resides the movie concludes with a mixture of triumph and bittersweet realization, blending adventures with air emotional conclusion.
MY THOUGHTS ABOUT THE MOVIE
