(ENG/SPA) Michelle Trachtenberg: The Dawn Summer of Buffy The Vampire Slayer Tribute Review
Dawn Summers is a character from the fictional universe of Buffy The Vampire Slayer whose birth has the purpose of connecting this series with that even younger audience that watched week after week the TV show, in those times decades of the 2000's I was practically the age of this character being a teenager living the stage of high school and although I do not connect with the essence of what the character wanted to convey, I'm sure many others do because it focuses on dealing with the problems associated with that age as insecurities, loves, heartbreaks, family conflicts that ultimately end up uniting the family even if you add to all the previous cocktail vampires and other demonic creatures associated with the topic of the series.
Michelle Trachtenberg is the young for those times who gave life to this character, a woman with a radiant face full of innocence, joy and fragility while maintaining her acting versatility, it's decades since I saw her in Buffy The Vampire Slayer in a role that just transmitted all of the above in the chaotic twilight of adolescence.
I perceive in her a fragile personality, full of insecurities within her personal darkness, it is always hard to put herself in the shoes of others but this type of work at such a young age I notice that it has a capacity to leave eternal scars in the minds of people who are almost children with responsibilities and stress even greater than adults, that is where I say to myself that happiness is in the simplest of things.
Dawn Summers es un personaje del Universo ficticio de Buffy La Caza Vampiros cuyo nacimiento tiene el propósito de conectar esta serie con esa audiencia aun mas joven que veía semana a semana el Show de Tv, en aquellos tiempos décadas de los 2000 yo tenía prácticamente la edad de este personaje siendo un adolescente viviendo la etapa de la preparatoria y aunque no conecte con la esencia de lo que quería transmitir el personaje, estoy seguro que muchos otros mas sí porque justo se enfoca en lidiar con los problemas asociados a esa edad como inseguridades, amores, desamores, conflictos familiares que a la final terminan uniendo a la familia así se añada a todo el cóctel anterior vampiros y demás criaturas demoníacas asociadas al tópico de la serie.
Michelle Trachtenberg es la joven para aquellos tiempos que dio vida a este personaje, una mujer con una cara radiante llena de inocencia, alegría y fragilidad manteniendo su versatilidad actoral, son décadas desde que la vi en Buffy La Caza Vampiros en un rol que justo transmitía todo lo anterior en el crepúsculo caótico de la adolescencia.
Percibo en ella una personalidad Frágil, llena de inseguridades dentro de su oscuridad personal, cuesta siempre ponerse en el zapato de los demás pero este tipo de trabajos a tan temprana edad noto que tienen una capacidad de dejar cicatrices eternas en la mente de personas que son casi niños con responsabilidades y estrés aun mayores que los adultos, allí es donde me digo que la felicidad esta en lo mas simple de las cosas.
I share with you an interview where Michelle talks about her character along with the rest of the cast and vital elements for the life of the series, those writers who raise the rationale for that PLot Twist Opening with which the character is born and that did leave a great narrative conflict by the debate that generated in the audience of Buffy where he highlighted that the series was still in full swing despite being a fairly advanced season.
At minute 16:22 of the interview we can hear just that decision with some narrative controversy about the character Dawn, many things can be said about Joss Whedon but just during that conversation in the interview we are shown the introduction scene of Dawn Summers and the man is a master at creating out of nothing a comic moment that connects with the audience because of the natural way in which the scene is shot.
In fact I see Dawn next to Buffy and both make me laugh in their chemistry of troubled sisters who love and hate each other at the same time within the hateful dynamic that many siblings live haha, I didn't have that, I was happy just playing video games and watching my favorite movies, series and comics, that's why I didn't connect even more with the character but that doesn't mean I didn't like her, on the contrary I found her very striking with her angelic face although it is always Buffy the one in my heart haha.
Les comparto una entrevista donde Michelle nos habla de su personaje junto con el resto del elenco y elementos vitales para la vida de la serie, esos guionistas que plantean la razón de ser de ese PLot Twist de Apertura con el que nace el personaje y que sí dejo un gran conflicto narrativo por el debate que genero en la audiencia de Buffy en donde resalto que la serie aun seguía en apogeo a pesar de ser una temporada bastante avanzada.
En el minuto 16:22 de la entrevista podemos escuchar justamente esa decisión con cierta controversia narrativa sobre el personaje Dawn, se pueden decir muchas cosas de Joss Whedon pero justo durante esa conversación en la entrevistan nos muestran la escena introducción de Dawn Summers y el hombre es un maestro para crear de la nada un momento cómico que conecte con la audiencia por lo natural en que rueda la escena.
De hecho veo a Dawn junto a Buffy y ambas me hacen reír en su química de hermanas problemáticas que se aman y odian al mismo tiempo dentro de la dinámica odiosa que muchos hermanos viven jaja, yo no tuve eso, yo era feliz estando solo jugando video juegos y viendo mis películas, series y comiquitas favoritas, por eso no conecte aun mas con el personaje pero eso no quiere decir que no me agradara, por el contrario me parecía muy llamativa con su rostro angelical aunque por siempre es Buffy la que esta en mi corazón jaja.

My opinion is that exploring this Plot Twist is a great idea that may have its details in execution but one thing is to analyze the character of Dawn years after the end of the series and another very different thing is when that famous chapter is released by the debate it generated, I at that time I said to myself, I have to meet her and definitely know what is happening, therefore the character Dawn Summers and Director Joss Whedon achieved their goal, keep me in tune.
Sobre este gran debate entre los fans de la serie que deja una sombra suave sobre el personaje de Dawn pienso lo siguiente, Dawn Summers es un Plot Twist demasiado brusco y sí aun hoy genera debate es porque el Directo Joss Whedon logro su objetivo, hacer que la gente hablara de su nuevo personaje para que se mantuvieran en sintonía.
Es decir no puedes odiarla a la primera porque simplemente ni siquiera la conoces al ser un personaje que sale de la nada y al ser instantáneamente un elemento vital en el Núcleo familiar de Buffy, es como si Dawn Summers uniera los extremos en los sentimientos de una narrativa porque a su vez también hay que quererla al ser la hermanita pequeña tierna, odiosa e inocente de Buffy.
Mi opinión es que explorar este Plot Twist es una gran idea que puede tener sus detalles en ejecución pero una cosa es analizar el personaje de Dawn años después de finalizada la serie y otra cosa muy diferente es cuando se estrena ese famoso capítulo por el debate que genero, yo en aquellos tiempos me dije a mi mismo, tengo que conocerla y saber definitivamente que esta pasando, por tanto el personaje Dawn Summers y el Director Joss Whedon lograron su cometido, mantenerme en sintonía.
In the personality of the character I want to emphasize that the casting is ideal, just in the thumbnail you can see on the left what I see as Dawn Summers in her life as a high school student still very young, with dreams to fulfill which likes to study, read and write happily in her diary and on the right to an eternal princess who is the person who gave life to the character, Michelle Trachtenberg that by then very young is like seeing an Angelita.
I imagine her just like in the Gif, happy and radiant to learn new spells haha, a beloved character who does not become the biggest star of the series but one who left her mark with her small and fragile hand. What stands out the most of the character is her personality full of life and funny, I hope you get to know her either as Dawn Summers or in any other of her performances, in my case I want to see her as a skater and as a spy.
I really didn't know her until now beyond these characters and I hope she is happy wherever she is writing a new adventure in her diary.
En la personalidad del personaje quiero destacar que el casting es idóneo, justo en la miniatura pueden ver a la izquierda lo que yo veo como a Dawn Summers en su vida de estudiante de preparatoria aun muy joven, con sueños por cumplir a la cual le gusta estudiar, leer y escribir felizmente en su diario y en la derecha a una princesa eterna que es la persona que le dio vida al personaje, a Michelle Trachtenberg que para ese entonces muy joven es como ver a una Angelita.
La imagino tal cual como en el Gif, feliz y radiante por aprender nuevos hechizos jaja, un personaje querido que no logra ser la mayor de las estrellas de la serie pero si una que dejo su huella con su pequeña y frágil mano. Los que mas destaco del personaje es su personalidad llena de vida y graciosa, espero te animes a conocerla ya sea como Dawn Summers o en algun otro de sus performance, en mi caso quiero verla como patinadora y como espía.
De verdad no la conocía hasta ahora mas allá de estos personajes y espero este feliz donde sea que este escribiendo una nueva aventura en su diario.

I also felt sorry for her, it left me thinking about the fact that she mentioned that she was bothered by the bullies at school and that this kind of things affected her psychologically so much, she was so cheerful, tender and innocent as she looks. Harriet The Spy I really want to see that movie to know more about her acting energy as a child, besides the cover and story of that film are very striking, she was also in Pete and Pete, a series that I saw in the 90's in RCTV haha there her character was very funny with her cast.
That Ice Princess I have to see it, the cover is extremely striking and she looks like a princess, she was very sweet and funny, let's hope she is well wherever she is writing a new adventure in her diary.
