En este 2024 tuvimos uno de los títulos más taquilleros. Las expectativas eran altas por los personajes involucrados y por lo que se espera de una película de Marvel. Ya pude verla y aquí mis comentarios. El director es Shawn Levy.

In this 2024 we had one of the highest grossing titles. Expectations were high because of the characters involved and because of what is expected from a Marvel movie. I was able to see it and here are my comments. The director is Shawn Levy.

Sinopsis: Deadpool luego de tener una oferta de la TVA, la organización encargada de regular el tiempo, se entera que su realidad está en alto riesgo de ser eliminada; por ello, buscará una solución que involucra cooperar con un Wolverine, hasta las últimas consecuencias.

Synopsis: Deadpool after having an offer from the TVA, the organization in charge of regulating time, learns that his reality is at high risk of being eliminated; therefore, he will seek a solution that involves cooperating with a Wolverine, to the last consequences.

La acción principal, luego de mostrarse la premisa, ocurre en un lugar llamado “el vacío”
donde liderada por la villana de la película Cassandra Nova, los protagonistas buscarán cómo solucionar sus propios problemas. Como las otras películas de Deadpool tenemos bastante humor grosero, que rompe la 4ta pared, y bastante violencia con mucha sangre.

The main action, after the premise is shown, takes place in a place called “The Void”, where led by the film's villain Cassandra Nova, the protagonists will seek to solve their own problems. Like the other Deadpool movies we have plenty of crude humor, breaking the 4th wall, and plenty of violence with lots of blood.

He de decir que aparte del carisma del dúo protagonista, lo que más ha impactado en la película han sido las sorpresas en formas de cameos que veremos durante todo el título; sin embargo, todas esas sorpresas solo funcionan para los que sepan de los personajes o el tema, para fans.

I have to say that aside from the charisma of the lead duo, what made the biggest impact on the film were the surprises in the form of cameos that we will see throughout the title; however, all of those surprises only work for those who know about the characters or the subject matter, for fans.

La historia si bien trata de ser un tanto original no deja de sentirse bastante obvia y con muy poca tensión real, ya que se presupone una solución a todos los problemas. Si bien la mayoría de escenas de acción están bien logradas, hay momentos donde se siente limitado, al menos eso lo sentí en una lucha contra las variantes de Deadpool, con su escenario.

The story while trying to be somewhat original still feels rather obvious and with very little real tension, as it assumes a solution to all the problems. While most of the action scenes are well done, there are moments where it feels limited, at least I felt that in a fight against the Deadpool variants, with their scenery.

La música es de lo mejor, mezclando bien con los momentos de humor o acción. Funciona bien en esa divertida intro. La fotografía hace un buen trabajo, mostrando el despliegue de la acción y sabiendo jugar cuando es necesario. El CGI está bien, pero hay momentos que no convencen del todo, en especial cuando Cassandra tiene que leer la mente.

The music is one of the best, mixing well with the moments of humor or action. It works well in that fun intro. The cinematography does a good job, showing the action unfolding and knowing how to play when necessary. The CGI is fine, but there are moments that don't quite convince, especially when Cassandra has to read minds.

En general es una película divertida, pero que necesitas de conocimiento del mundo Marvel y sus películas para disfrutarla mucho más.

Overall it's a fun movie, but you need knowledge of the Marvel world and its movies to enjoy it much more.
