En el mundial del 2022 salieron 2 series nuevas de anime con temática de fútbol que gustaron bastante, una de ellas fue Ao Ashi y la otra, sobre la que escribo en esta ocasión, Blue Lock. Ya se le confirmó una 2da temporada a este anime. La primera tuvo 24 episodios, siendo sus directores Tetsuaki Watanabe y Shunsuke Ishikawa. Desarrollado por el estudio 8-Bit.

In the 2022 World Cup, 2 new soccer-themed anime series were released, one of them was Ao Ashi and the other one, the one I am writing about this time, Blue Lock. A 2nd season has already been confirmed for this anime. The first one had 24 episodes, being its directors Tetsuaki Watanabe and Shunsuke Ishikawa. Developed by 8-Bit studio.

Sinopsis: Yoichi Isagi es un joven practicante de fútbol. Luego de sufrir una derrota por dar un pase no aprovechado, la frustración lo deprime; sin embargo, tendrá una oportunidad cuando él y otros 299 jóvenes talentos del fútbol sean seleccionados para el proyecto Blue Lock. El propósito de este proyecto será crear el delantero de fútbol definitivo.

Synopsis: Yoichi Isagi is a young soccer player. After suffering a defeat for giving an unused pass, frustration depresses him; however, he will have a chance when he and 299 other young soccer talents are selected for the Blue Lock project. The purpose of this project will be to create the ultimate soccer forward.

Si tuviera que resumir esta serie en una frase es mezclar tu clásico anime de fútbol con Squid Game. Y esto lo digo, porque la idea del proyecto Blue Lock es crear el delantero definitivo de 300 candidatos, por lo cual la gran mayoría de participantes serán eliminados tras diversas fases. A su vez, se habla del egoísmo que debe tener un delantero y que es una de las cualidades que se busca en Blue Lock.

If I had to sum up this series in one sentence it would be to mix your classic soccer anime with Squid Game. And I say this, because the idea of the Blue Lock project is to create the ultimate striker out of 300 candidates, whereby the vast majority of participants will be eliminated after various phases. At the same time, there is talk of the selfishness that a striker must have and that is one of the qualities sought in Blue Lock.

Dicho lo anterior, veremos a una gran variedad de personajes que tratarán de llegar lo más lejos en esta carrera, en donde tendrán que competir en variadas formas. Hay mucho de táctica y estrategia futbolística, pero también veremos las diversas personalidades de los personajes, y que buscarán avanzar incluso con métodos poco éticos o honorables.

Having said that, we will see a great variety of characters that will try to get as far as possible in this race, where they will have to compete in different ways. There is a lot of tactics and soccer strategy, but we'll also see the diverse personalities of the characters, and they will try to advance even with unethical or honorable methods.

Si bien al comienzo tenias dudas, la verdad es que se siente dinámico, y que se paga la derrota de manera definitiva. Entretiene bien.

Sobre la animación, puede decir que es bastante cumplidora, sin ser lo más resaltante, al menos sabe hacer un buen juego de luces para los momentos más cruciales. La música no destaca mucho, no me convencen los openings y endings. El diseño de los personajes es bueno, se puede diferenciar sin problemas a la mayoría de los mismos.

About the animation, you can say that it is quite compliant, without being the most outstanding, at least it knows how to make a good game of lights for the most crucial moments. The music doesn't stand out much, I'm not convinced by the openings and endings. The design of the characters is good, most of them can be differentiated without problems.

Si te gusta el fútbol y te gustan los realities en donde solo hay un ganador, esta mezcla te encantará. Recomendable.

If you like soccer and you like reality shows where there is only one winner, you will love this mix. Recommended.
