"E.R.", also known as "Emergency Room" was a very successful series that aired between 1994 and 2009, comprising 15 seasons and 33 episodes.

It was a medical drama written by Michael Crichton, which followed the professional and personal lives of the doctors and nurses in the emergency room of a fictitious County General Hospital in Cook County, Chicago, Illinois.

The series premiered in 1994 and became a television phenomenon as the longest-running primetime medical drama in U.S. television history, a position it held until 2019 when Grey's Anatomy premiered its sixteenth season.

It has been the most nominated series for Emmy Awards with 124 nominations of which it won 23 and made its own 116 different awards.

Some of the series' notable actors include George Clooney, Anthony Edwards, Julianna Margulies, Noah Wyle, Laura Innes, Eriq La Salle, Alex Kingston, Maura Tierney, Goran Višnjić and Paul McCrane.

The series provided extensive exposure to the treatment of various illnesses and injuries, from serious cases such as heart attacks, overdoses and penetrating trauma (such as gunshot wounds and stab wounds); to minor cases.

It was my favorite series and I did not miss any chapter and a few years ago I saw it again in streaming channels, for me it was the pioneer in this type of series and had that special magic of the charismatic characters.
