Released in 1981, For Your Eyes Only is widely regarded by critics as the most exceptional James Bond film of the 1980s to feature Roger Moore as Agent 007.
In the film's opening scenes, we are poignantly reminded that Bond is a man who has experienced great loss and heartache.
For the first time, we witness him visiting the grave of his late wife in a series of impressive sequences that set the tone for the rest of the film.
Similarly, this marks the initial occasion when we witness Roger Moore playing an exceptionally tough and ruthless individual, exhibiting an icy demeanour that is much more reminiscent of the character Ian Fleming had created in his literary works.
