REACHER : REVIEW & OPINION [ENG-ESP]

Hello friends!!! Normally I don't post here much because I'm not a person who watches a lot of movies and series, however since I downloaded the TV Time app a while ago, I've decided to watch more series and movies constantly, I've started to watch several recommended series and one of them is Reacher, a series that my mom could easily watch on AXN haha.

You see for a long time I watched a lot of TV and series on Directv but after that I think I got burned out of so many series and movies but I always liked investigative series and that had action, so when I saw the premise of Reacher I was interested from the first moment.

By now many will have already seen it, but for those who haven't, Reacher is a decorated military man who arrives in the small town of Margrave just when a wave of murders begins and he becomes a suspect and must help in the investigation to clear his name and also for personal reasons that we will discover as the plot progresses.

Something that I quite liked is the theme of the "secondary" characters that accompany Reacher, police officer Roskow and chief of detectives Finlay, because they are not the generic team of the tough guy, the pretty girl and the brainiac, Officer Roskow is a tough woman who can take on most things she has to face, and the chief of detectives is a character that at first is hard to get attached to because of his personality, as he is stifling and stubborn but as the play progresses we notice where his attitude comes from and how little by little he gets attached to Reacher.

Let's talk a little about the plot without spoilers, Margrave is a town in the middle of nowhere, at least that's how it is painted in the series, which gives many people the opportunity to do their dirty business there, thinking that no one will discover them and this is what gives rise to a complex plot full of mystery that gradually involves our protagonists in a personal and professional way.

I have to make a little emphasis on the corrupt characters of the show that from the beginning are presented to us as the antagonists "villains" of the series, because they act so well in their roles that you really start to deter them hahaha, at least that's how it happened to me, I couldn't wait for them to get beaten up and stopped haha.

Which brings me to my next point, this series has a lot of action and investigation, but when the action comes it's pretty raw, something I honestly loved, I'm pretty tired of silly fights where you don't really see what would happen, or cop series where they give the bad guy two shots and that's it, there's no blood or up close fights, so the fact that here you see how Reacher who is a trained soldier tactically confronts enemies both up close and from afar and you see how he breaks someone's arm without the scene being cut is pure gold.

This first season that I saw, only has 8 episodes and I feel that they were just enough, although I don't know why I feel that they could have developed a little more the end, maybe with one more episode but I only say this from my opinion, the season is great, for someone who doesn't watch series constantly, it made me watch it practically in 2 days, that's how good this show is.

I recently read a comparison saying that Reacher is like Batman in real life and I found it too real, I did not notice it when watching the series but now that I think about it, it's amazing how much it looks like so I can only recommend this series that caught me and my family, as soon as I showed it to them they started watching it and they loved it!

Hola amigos!! Normalmente no público mucho por acá porque no soy una persona que vea muchas películas y series, sin embargo dado que desde hace un tiempo descargue la app de TV Time, me he propuesto ver mas series y películas constantemente, he empezado a ver varias series recomendadas y una de ellas es Reacher, una serie que facilmente podria ver mi mamá en AXN jaja.

Verán durante mucho tiempo ví mucha TV y series en Directv pero luego de eso creo que me queme de tantas series y películas pero siempre me gustaron las series de investigación y que tuvieran acción, así que al ver la premisa de Reacher me interesó desde el primer momento.

Para estas alturas muchos ya la habrán visto, pero para los que no, Reacher es un militar condecorado que llega al pequeño pueblo de Margrave justo cuando comienza una ola de asesinatos y el se convierte en un sospechoso y debe ayudar en la investigación para limpiar su nombre y también por motivos personales que descubriremos conforme avanza la trama.

Algo que me agrado bastante es el tema de los personajes “secundarios” que acompañan a Reacher, la oficial de policía Roskow y el jefe de detectives Finlay, pues no son el equipo genérico del tipo rudo, la chica bonita y el cerebrito, la oficial Roskow es una mujer ruda que puede enfrentarse a la mayoría de cosas que tenga en frente, y el jefe de detectives es un personaje que al principio cuesta agarrarle cariño por su personalidad, ya que es asfixiante y terco pero conforme avanza la obra notamos de donde viene su actitud y cómo poco a poco se va acoplando a Reacher.

Hablemos un poco de la trama sin spoilers, Margrave es un pueblo a mitad de la nada, al menos así lo pintan en la serie, lo cual le da pie a muchas personas de hacer sus negocios sucios allí, pensando en que nadie los descubrira y esto es lo que da origen a una trama compleja llena de misterio que poco a poco va involucrando a nuestros protagonistas de manera personal y profesional.

Tengo que hacer un poco de énfasis en los personajes corruptos de la obra que desde un principio se nos presentan como los antagonistas “villanos” de la serie, pues actúan tan bien en sus papeles que realmente empiezas a detestarlos jajaja, al menos así me paso a mi, no veía la hora de que les dieran una paliza y los detuvieran jaja.

Lo cual me lleva a mi siguiente punto, esta serie tiene mucha acción e investigación, pero cuando llega la acción es bastante cruda, algo que honestamente me encanto, estoy bastante cansado de las peleas tontas donde no se ve realmente lo que pasaría, o las series policiacas en donde le dan dos disparos al malo y listo, no hay sangre ni peleas de cerca, así que el hecho de que aquí se vea como Reacher que es un soldado entrenado se enfrenta tácticamente a los enemigos tanto de cerca como de lejos y que veas como le parte el brazo a alguien sin que corten la escena es oro puro.

Esta primera temporada que vi, solo tiene 8 episodios y siento que fueron lo justo, aunque no se porque siento que pudieron desarrollar un poco más el final, quizás con un episodio más pero solo digo esto desde mi opinión, igualmente la temporada es genial, para alguien que no ve series constantemente, me hizo verla prácticamente en 2 dias asi de buena es esta obra.

Hace poco leí una comparativa diciendo que Reacher es como Batman en la vida real y me pareció demasiado real, no lo note al ver la serie pero ahora que lo pienso es increíble lo mucho que se parece asi que no me queda mas que recomendarles esta serie que me atrapó a mi y a mi familia, pues apenas se las mostré la empezaron a ver y les encanto!
