It has been a pretty good week in the series department. One of those not the thing you want but maybe the thing you needed meme's.

Pantheon

Pantheon finishes out the week for me and I can't really choose which was my favourite, be it Scavengers Reign, Pantheon or Blue Eye Samurai and lucky I do not need to choose.

All 3 of these shows are so different and perfect in their own way.

Pantheon for one moves us into the modern world, and AI is a concern but more than that instead of trying to go for AGI like we are all doing now. Pantheon moves into UI, which seems to just skip the whole issue of artificial intelligence and goes directly to uploading people's minds.

Although AGI does make a return in the most spectacular way possible.

As I mentioned Pantheon explores a world where people are able to be uploaded, with a simple caveat, you have to die.

Season 1 explores how it all begins, and I think they are pretty spot on. It definitely will be one of those technologies that will go hush-hush until there is no turning back and it all snowballs.

I also liked the characters and how the plot has a lot of moving pieces not just to fill airtime but each piece matters. Unlike many new shows where frankly there is no plot and it is all just busy work.

They explore a very realistic and likely future even though it seems like far fetched scifi fantasy.

All in all if you like some good scifi and a bit of conspiracy then Pantheon is extremely well executed to deliver on all fronts.
