For the title ~ Black Knight

I don't really like watching subtitled shows because then I can't follow easily while doing the ten other things I am doing.

However some shows are just that good.

Black Knight

Black Knight is a Korean dystopian action series, I think from the not-so-crazy Korea side but you never know.

They set the premise quickly, the air is bad and not many people left but from those who are left only the elite get first dibs on air and survival. All thanks to your local economic superpower industry.

How could this go wrong?

The pacing of the show is solid, with not much time wasted on backstories and pretend drama which I appreciate.

The story itself I think is fairly straightforward which is what makes it very likely that this is not far removed from reality.

Obviously instead of Corporations the reality would be that mass-elected rulers will be exterminating people but you get the point.

I like the core action-hero premise and although the plot seems to lack some sophistication what makes it work is how it all flows together.

There is an obvious problem and many different perspectives and approaches which over time converge and then shit goes boom.

My kinda story.

They did add a "mutant" aspect to the story which I think will be the main focus if there is a Season 2. They never really tried to spoonfeed that motivation although it played a critical part in the villain being the villain.

Over all it is a pretty good watch if you want prep for the future or just enjoy seeing some underdogs take out the Wolves.
