Fun facts about San Francisco: I have picked and eaten fingerling bananas in January in Golden Gate Park ... out of the cold northwest winds, we can get ANYTHING to grow here ... and half the time, it will fruit!

I think a lot of clarity can come from reducing things down to lower levels. As such, when I explain blockchains to those who don't understand I tend to describe them first as super databases that store certain information.
I find they can usually understand that, to a certain extent, a little bit better than the idea of a digital currency which has been conjured out of nothing.

🤣 I even have a suspect in mind. There was a dude on X that kept talking about bringing "Hive" down with a DDOS attack. Through discussion I later realized that he meant Hive-engine.
I guess it's not really a DDOS attack. Just a DOS.

Sometimes confidence annoys me. Just posted my report for today. In it I mention a simple plumbing repair. When I went to the hardware store to buy the replacement part, the worker told me with 100% certainty that I was working on a steam dryer when it was actually a tub faucet.
She even argued with me about it. Like I would lie to her when I'm asking her help to find the part. Why would you be so confident that you would argue with the person who saw the thing when you haven't seen it yourself?
Ego centric people are everywhere. Just don't annoy yourself too much.
