It's Thursday morning which means I'm in the attic with a friend for some #atticart. I've decided to try some #nature #printing and collected these #leaves to start with.
Ready for Round 1 of some #monoprinting. I've cut up the cover of a #watercolour pad to test out the technique. It's been a very long time since I used my #gelliplate. Mostly using old paints that are past their prime.
So far it's not turning out as I'd like. It's been so long I've forgotten how to do it so I'm hoping for a happy accident. I'm literally watching paint dry at the moment so I can add another layer. 😂
I have recently begun adding my music and podcasts to Wavlake, here for example is a new episode of my Modulations cast and I benefit from the v4v element of it all.
Yes it's on hive. The gameplay is simple where you just click attack or magic and the result will be given. You have to stake dcore to level up and buy NFTs to compete at higher levels. I tried it so I'm just level 1.
Time for a lunch break. The #gelliprinting isn't inspiring me much. I'm not getting enough contrast. So far I'm liking the white paper best where I cleaned off the leaves. That wasn't intentional! I need to persevere.
Its nice. So this is monoprinting. I think I’ve seen a technique that also uses real natural materials to emboss or engrave to a clay and create nice details too.
To be honest I'm not sure what #monoprinting actually is. Using 1 colour at a time perhaps? Let me google it.
Ha, ha, ha. Totally wrong. "The monoprint is a form of printmaking where the image can only be made once, unlike most printmaking which allows for multiple originals."
I'm still waiting for that experience. I'm definintely going to add something to these prints, I'm thinking bubble wrap maybe, and then try again. I'll probably need to go out and get some new leaves though. These are wilting rapidly. 😂

There have been plenty of people that have left hive even while receiving large rewards for their posts. But if they have great engagement in lots of views there is meaning and that is more powerful
yes but no one on hive has "lots of views" compared real world ... compared to views that really move the needle. But what I'm really saying is reward isn't as powerful as meaning. But heck yes i'd love to see more views that would be awesome.
Yes, I love snaps! It runs so smoothly. Very different from Inleo. It constantly hangs and crashes. Even now. The priorities were wrong. The main thing was Leo Premium etc. first. The product should fit first!

The new (how new idk) InLeo Ops manager @tsunsica responded quickly to my feedback on InLeo and has positively identified the problem, so will now pass to devs to fix.

The first time I played DS3, I went with a dexterity build. But by the end, after finishing the game and starting New Game Plus, I started putting points into strength and tried out some two-handed weapons. I got addicted to the stun.
Absolutely. Although there comes a point when you start trying out other classes. I’ve been thinking about combining strength with some lightning spells to be like the final boss.
I haven’t explored spells yet, but this weapon already has a special attack with electricity
My #atticart friend has left now so I'm pretty much done with #gelliprinting for the day. I managed to lift 2 prints I liked in the end. I used a bit of scrap to try and lift the left over paint but it failed. However, I like it as a pink backing paper for future #art projects.
That happens ! If it's a nice color, I keep it for background or stencil something over it in a contrasting color to plump it up. I like your leaf prints. I have not tried that yet. I should grab a few leaves before they turn and get crunchie.
I was surprised how nice the leaf prints were when I cleaned them on the white paper after using them on the Gelli plate.
Don't pick your leaves until you're ready to go.
I picked up some nice ones last week but, by the time I went to use them, they were too crunchie. 😂

You're still plagiarizing a robot. The art is crap, the text is obviously procedurally generated, and the uncanny valley of every aspect of the composition is repugnant. Draw stick figures if you have to, but make art!

Doggone it. I haven't been posting too often of late, but did today. However, I knew I'd forget to "activate" CommentRewarder when I wrote my post today. And yep, I forgot. Argh.

oh ChatGPT is great for some stuff but not the stuff i used Google for to begin with. I use ChatGPT on creative stuff or for stuff i already have the data for and it can help think about the data. Or I know it knows a lot on that subject.
I use perplexity the majority of the time but I still google often. Google should have jumped on the ai bandwagon faster because if they did, I probably wouldn't have tried out perplexity and stuck with it.
Perplexity is all about answering the types of questions you would have asked Google because you wanted it to go out and search web pages and find some answers. It's great for current events as well... for sure not a thing ChatGPT can do well
I works for me but I don't use AI a whole lot though. I mostly use it for an explanation of concepts I'm not very familiar with. It has basically replaced wikipedia for me.
I'd never heard of Perplexity, but it seems cool. I have pro subscriptions to both ChatGPT and Claude.ai but I'm always interested in checking out other tools. ChatGPT is great for many things, but one thing I like about Claude is that you can have projects with context.
Good for you! Neither do I, the only thing I use it for is it's AI image searching tool where you upload an image of a flower or something and it shows you info about it. Glad to detach from all that Google tracking stuff! 💪

The freecompliments and cent communities have a lot of processes linked to threads, so posting there using their tags greatly benefits those who made them, either with votes or other things like hsbi. I used to use it a lot, but I've decreased my use since the launch of snaps.

A part of my review of the podcast (and maybe this is my review of the original articles) is that it's way too focused on the reward pool mechanism of hive. I tend to focus primarily on true ownership aspects of the chain.

To put it in perspective, there are 5 billion internet users worldwide, while only 600+ million crypto wallets exist. We are definitely early adopters, and the potential for wider adoption increases as developments in this space continue to advance.
I believe this adoption is slow because a lot of fake news is released linking crypto to bad things, a lot of scams also happen by malicious people and that's what ends up being publicized, so people don't know the good side of crypto.
I'm certainly a living example, my first real contact with crypto was with splinter and hive, but I'd heard about it before, but I didn't pay any attention because I thought it was dangerous or that it was just a scam.
I feel the same way, I've learned a lot here at Hive, it's the place I feel most connected. At X I can hardly talk to anyone about crypto, even though I follow a lot of people who are involved.

Yes it's on hive. The gameplay is simple where you just click attack or magic and the result will be given. You have to stake dcore to level up and buy NFTs to compete at higher levels. I tried it so I'm just level 1.

Time for a lunch break. The #gelliprinting isn't inspiring me much. I'm not getting enough contrast. So far I'm liking the white paper best where I cleaned off the leaves. That wasn't intentional! I need to persevere.

Its nice. So this is monoprinting. I think I’ve seen a technique that also uses real natural materials to emboss or engrave to a clay and create nice details too.
Is it also considered as monoprinting?
To be honest I'm not sure what #monoprinting actually is. Using 1 colour at a time perhaps? Let me google it.

Yes, I love snaps! It runs so smoothly. Very different from Inleo. It constantly hangs and crashes. Even now. The priorities were wrong. The main thing was Leo Premium etc. first. The product should fit first!

The new (how new idk) InLeo Ops manager @tsunsica responded quickly to my feedback on InLeo and has positively identified the problem, so will now pass to devs to fix.
Some of my faith in #InLeo is starting to be restored. Let's see how quickly it's fixed now :-)

The first time I played DS3, I went with a dexterity build. But by the end, after finishing the game and starting New Game Plus, I started putting points into strength and tried out some two-handed weapons. I got addicted to the stun.

Absolutely. Although there comes a point when you start trying out other classes. I’ve been thinking about combining strength with some lightning spells to be like the final boss.
I haven’t explored spells yet, but this weapon already has a special attack with electricity
My #atticart friend has left now so I'm pretty much done with #gelliprinting for the day. I managed to lift 2 prints I liked in the end. I used a bit of scrap to try and lift the left over paint but it failed. However, I like it as a pink backing paper for future #art projects.
That happens ! If it's a nice color, I keep it for background or stencil something over it in a contrasting color to plump it up. I like your leaf prints. I have not tried that yet. I should grab a few leaves before they turn and get crunchie.
I was surprised how nice the leaf prints were when I cleaned them on the white paper after using them on the Gelli plate.
Don't pick your leaves until you're ready to go.
I picked up some nice ones last week but, by the time I went to use them, they were too crunchie. 😂

The cat said there's no food in the house (ironically, the fridge is full), but he only eats unhealthy food that he likes, which is why he's fat. He's stained because he just ate something, and he says he'll catch whoever ate the good stuff, but it was him all along.
People using AI art with bad text generation don't have a leg to stand on when complaining about being criticized.
I mean, no one ever goes around saying about meme art (especially since most people use something generated)... Is it because I used the #art tag? To me, it felt like gratuitous hate; if it were a critique, you wouldn’t criticize the art just for being generated by AI.
You're still plagiarizing a robot. The art is crap, the text is obviously procedurally generated, and the uncanny valley of every aspect of the composition is repugnant. Draw stick figures if you have to, but make art!

oh ChatGPT is great for some stuff but not the stuff i used Google for to begin with. I use ChatGPT on creative stuff or for stuff i already have the data for and it can help think about the data. Or I know it knows a lot on that subject.
I use perplexity the majority of the time but I still google often. Google should have jumped on the ai bandwagon faster because if they did, I probably wouldn't have tried out perplexity and stuck with it.
Perplexity is nice, although I dumped it for ChatGPT at some point as it seemed too limited in comparison.
Perplexity is all about answering the types of questions you would have asked Google because you wanted it to go out and search web pages and find some answers. It's great for current events as well... for sure not a thing ChatGPT can do well

I works for me but I don't use AI a whole lot though. I mostly use it for an explanation of concepts I'm not very familiar with. It has basically replaced wikipedia for me.
I'd never heard of Perplexity, but it seems cool. I have pro subscriptions to both ChatGPT and Claude.ai but I'm always interested in checking out other tools. ChatGPT is great for many things, but one thing I like about Claude is that you can have projects with context.

To be fair I didn't use Google Search all that much before AI came around. It was often such a frustrating experience for certain types of questions.
AiXplain chat is cool as you might even change the LLMs - I have good results with this
I like perplexity but ChatGPT treats me like a friend ahaha. That means something.
I use ChatGPT more in time but for the stuff i would have used Google isn't the things i use ChatGPT for... for that stuff i use Perplexity more.
Good for you! Neither do I, the only thing I use it for is it's AI image searching tool where you upload an image of a flower or something and it shows you info about it. Glad to detach from all that Google tracking stuff! 💪

It's back to normal now. The posts were shaking, like moving slightly up and down... And from the browser's inspect tool, it seemed like it was trying to load an image in an infinite loop, but without success.
I was able to reproduce the bug; the problem is with images.hive.blog. When the server is not accessible, it enters an infinite loop trying to reach images.hive.blog.
Thanks, noticed this myself. Will be fixed in the next update 🙏

Tried the new Age of Empires mobile yesterday. Sadly it's exactly as I feared. Rather than being the RTS that it used to be and we all love, it's nothing more than a nice State of Survival clone.
I HATE State of Survival and their clones. They're so tedious. Why can't we actually have a proper RTS game on mobile?

Snap activity seems to be steady, but a slight decline from the initial days.

That's a lot of time just think even if that only took 5 seconds a piece. that's 500k seconds!! And many of them probably took a couple minutes.
There is a large financial incentive behind it I think is the main draw.
The freecompliments and cent communities have a lot of processes linked to threads, so posting there using their tags greatly benefits those who made them, either with votes or other things like hsbi. I used to use it a lot, but I've decreased my use since the launch of snaps.

Here is a link that explains the phenomenon. The moon is at its closest point in its orbit and it all full. I think too its position low on the horizon makes it seem larger.

I believe this adoption is slow because a lot of fake news is released linking crypto to bad things, a lot of scams also happen by malicious people and that's what ends up being publicized, so people don't know the good side of crypto.
True, there are bad publicity that surrounds crypto. But the good things is that people tend to be loyal to crypto once they fully understand it.
I'm certainly a living example, my first real contact with crypto was with splinter and hive, but I'd heard about it before, but I didn't pay any attention because I thought it was dangerous or that it was just a scam.
Mine is BSC & Hive but it is here where I feel more connected with the crypto community.
I feel the same way, I've learned a lot here at Hive, it's the place I feel most connected. At X I can hardly talk to anyone about crypto, even though I follow a lot of people who are involved.
Community spirit is so much better here IMHO 👍
