The Boys: ¿Qué Superpoder te Gustaría Tener? - Review (Spa-Eng)

  Greetings to all #MoviesAndTVShows moviegoers. Today is Thursday, the weekend is almost here, and what better way to make the most of this day than by sharing a bit about a series that's been quite popular these past few days? Pour yourself a nice cup of coffee or tea and join me to read my take on The Boys. Before I start, I think my post will contain one or two not-so-deep Spoilers, but if you saw it, you'll understand.

  If you could choose one superpower, what would it be and why? This question came to mind after watching the complete 4 seasons of The Boys on Amazon Prime Video. And well, I for one have a lot to say about said series, but first, I'll answer the question I just posed and I'd like to read your answer in the comments. 😉

  I understand that the superpowers of these iconic characters go hand in hand with their personality, that is, they did not choose their superpower, according to their genes and way of being that their special supernatural strength finally characterizes them. In my case, I think I would have the superpower to disappear or have super hearing hahaha, I don't know. 🤣

  But seriously speaking, I consider myself to be super resilient, so in addition to my two super-powerful features described above, I believe I would have the ability to regenerate or my skin would be extremely tough, which would make me untouchable to any damage that life brings me. 😏

  Now, returning to the subject of the series itself and coming back to the ground, I admit that I loved this series from the beginning until its last chapter in the 4th season. I am very much looking forward to the 5th, as I have no idea what these protagonists will be able to do, and because of how it ended, I don't know what solution they will apply to solve it. 🤔

  I had a slight idea of how Gore this series would be I came up short as its level of sadism and insanity to present this genre is another level I've never seen, at least not in such a continuous way, I mean, come on, I watched maybe twice the entire Saw saga, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre and House of Wax, but The Boys? hahaha, the previous movies fell in diapers in comparison. 😜

  Another point I must highlight here is the fact of the leading cast they chose, as well as the extra artists and special guests to play certain superheroes temporarily. My favorite characters are Homelander and Butcher, yes, hahaha the craziest of the series, but how not to love them, both are like Yin and Yang. ☯️

  Another thing I loved and what I think made it so successful, is its plot. Sure, the performances of its main characters stand out and are of high caliber, all of them, especially Homelander (from my point of view), but the plot? this story is not about typical superheroes, but about normal people looking to take down said superheroes. 🦸‍♂️

  Add to that the exaggerated touch of madness, Gore, and whatever you think you can imagine, here it is in some chapter. Nothing escaped them and the best part is that among so much alienation everything has a logical sense that it happens this way. Many details are well carried and above all its special effects, are of another level, so, only if you are a fan of the Gore/Horror Genre and you have the stomach to endure it, I recommend it to the 💯%. Hoy es jueves, casi llega el fin de semana, y ¿qué mejor manera de aprovechar este día que compartiendo un poco sobre una serie bastante popular en estos últimos días? Sírvete una buena taza de café o de té y acompáñame a leer mi opinión sobre The Boys. Y antes de empezar, pienso que mi post contendrá uno que otro Spoiler no tan profundo, pero si la viste, entenderás.

  Si pudieras elegir un super poder, ¿cuál sería y por qué? Esta es una pregunta que me vino a la mente luego de ver las 4 temporadas completas de The Boys por Amazon Prime Video. Y bueno, yo por mi parte tengo mucho que decir sobre dicha serie, pero antes, contestaré la pregunta que acabo de plantear y me gustaría mucho leer tu respuesta en los comentarios. 😉

  Tengo entendido que los superpoderes de estos personajes icónicos van de la mano con su personalidad, es decir, ellos no eligieron su superpoder, de acuerdo a sus genes y forma de ser es que se les caracteriza finalmente su fuerza sobrenatural especial. En mi caso, yo pienso que tendría el superpoder desaparecer o tener un super oído jajaja, no lo sé. 🤣

  Pero ya hablando en serio, me considero alguien super resiliente, por lo que además de mis dos facciones superpoderosas antes descritas, creo que tendría la capacidad de regenerarme o mi piel sería sumamente dura, lo que me haría intocable ante cualquier daño que me traiga la vida. 😏

  Ahora, retomando el tema de la serie en sí y volviendo los pies a la tierra, admito que esta serie me encantó desde un principio hasta su último capítulo en la 4ta temporada. Espero con mucha ansiedad la quinta, ya que no tengo idea de lo que serán capaces de hacer estos protagonistas y por cómo terminó, no sé qué solución aplicarán para resolverlo. 🤔

  Tenía una leve idea de lo Gore que sería esta serie, de hecho, me quedé corta ya que su nivel de sadismo y locura para presentar este género es definitivamente otro nivel que nunca había visto, al menos no de manera tan continua, es decir, vamos, me vi tal vez dos veces la saga completa de Saw, La Masacre de Texas y La Casa de Cera, pero The Boys? jajaja las películas anteriores se quedaron en pañales en comparación. 😜

  Otro punto que debo resaltar aquí es el hecho del elenco protagónico que eligieron, así como los artistas extras e invitados especiales para interpretar ciertos superhéroes temporalmente. Mis personajes favoritos son Homelander y Butcher, si, jajaja los más locos de la serie, pero ¿cómo no quererlos? ambos son como el Yin y el Yang. ☯️

  Otra cosa que me encantó y lo que de verdad creo que la hizo tan exitosa, es su trama. Claro, las actuaciones de sus protagonistas destacan y son de alto calibre, todas, en especial la de Homelander (desde mi punto de vista), pero ¿la trama? esta historia no es sobre típicos superhéroes, sino de personas normales que buscan acabar con dichos superdotados. 🦸‍♂️

  Agrégale a eso el toque exagerado de locura, de Gore y de lo que te creas capaz de imaginar, aquí está en algún capítulo. Nada se les escapó y ¿lo mejor? es que entre tanta enajenación todo tiene un sentido lógico de que ocurra así. Muchos detalles bien llevados y sobre todo sus efectos especiales, son de otro nivel, por lo que, sólo si eres fan del Género Gore/Horror y tienes estómago para soportarlo, te la recomiendo al 💯%.
