Happy start of the week to all the #MoviesAndTVShows Community. Have you ever heard that an excellent movie came out and after a few years you found it? A few years later, I came across the gem I'm here to tell you about today, The Bad Seed.

  I didn't know that they had made a remake of the classic film with the same name released back in 1956. Although I haven't seen that acclaimed film either, I must confess that I loved watching Mckenna Grace acting.

  I think she did a great job for the young age she was at the time, plus the very complicated role she had to develop, a super-intelligent but lacking in empathy girl who disguises her psychotic side very well, as she was only 12 years old!

  The first time I saw this girl act was in Amityville: The Awakening and since then I have been enchanted with her. She is a natural; the movies I've seen of hers have never disappointed me, and this one was no exception.

  You could say that it is a bit "Cliché", that you suspect what could happen and it happens, but for me, it turns out to be a very well made film keeping the suspense and drama in the best way. I have seen movies based on films from the 60's and 70's, that are remade with "some adjustments" and the truth is that most of them turn out to be very bad.

  Mckenna stood out in this role, from the very beginning you can tell that there is something wrong with her, but suddenly she makes you understand that it's not so, that it's your own thing. These sudden changes of mood, precise gestures at just the right moments, in such a little girl, the truth is that, in my case, they make an impact.

  I loved her performance because it conveyed fear, and made me think the same as her nanny when they met (yes, there is a nanny who takes care of her at some point). And well, she's a girl who holds a lot of surprises, unfortunately bad ones.

  Although the film is predictable at times, I found it entertaining and it fulfilled its purpose. It scared me, it intrigued me, and above all, it surprised me with its ending that was not what I expected, so much so that it made me doubt while it was happening, could it be true? could it be a lie? Like that.

  Who I didn't like the performance of was the one who played Emma's father (Mckenna). In this case, they gave the role to Rob Lowe, and well I don't know, I think he lacked more commitment, more emotion on his part or be more dramatic or show more desperation.

  On the other hand, I should add that when I took my time to put this post together, I came across the film's rating on several movie sites and I don't understand why it has such a low rating if it's really good. I think it's worth giving it a chance to watch something entertaining that can be considered to be on the same acting level as The Orphan with Isabelle Fuhrman.

  And well, I also admit that certain scenes made me wonder how a girl could do such a thing, I mean, it didn't have much logic, but if you see it, you'll understand me. Ahh, and there is also a sequel called The Bad Seed Returns, which I am also about to see, so, for now, to this film I recommend it and I give it:

  Feliz inicio de semana a toda la Comunidad de #MoviesAndTVShows. ¿Alguna vez se enteraron que salió una película sumamente buena y luego de unos años fue que dieron con ella? A mí me pasó así con la joya que vengo a hablarles hoy, se trata de La Mala Semilla.

  Yo la verdad desconocía que habían hecho un remake del clásico con el mismo nombre estrenado por allá en el año 1956. Aunque tampoco he visto aquel aclamado film, debo confesar que ver actuar a Mckenna Grace me encantó.

  Pienso que hizo un grandioso trabajo para la corta edad que tenía en ese entonces, además del papel tan complicado que debía desarrollar, una niña super inteligente pero carente de empatía que disimula muy bien su lado psicótico, ¡ya que sólo tenía 12 años!

  La primera vez que vi actuar esta niña fue en Amityville: El despertar y desde entonces quedé encantada con ella. Para mi tiene talento innato y las películas que he visto de ella ninguna me ha decepcionado, y esta tampoco fue la excepción.

  Se podría decir que es un poco "Cliché", que se sospecha lo que podría pasar y sucede, pero para mí resulta un film muy bien hecho manteniendo el suspenso y el drama de la mejor manera. He visto películas que se basan en films de los años 60 y 70, que son hechos nuevamente con "algunos ajustes" y la verdad la mayoría resultan ser muy malos.

  Mckenna de verdad que se destacó por mucho en este papel, desde que empieza puedes notar que hay algo mal en ella, pero de repente te da entender que no es así, que son cosas tuyas. Estos cambios de humor repentinos, gestos precisos en momentos justos, en una niña tan pequeña, la verdad que, en mi caso, impactan.

  Su actuación me encantó porque me transmitió temor, y me hizo pensar lo mismo que su niñera cuando se conocieron (si, hay una niñera que cuida de ella en algún momento). Y bueno, es una niña que guarda muchas sorpresas, lamentablemente malas.

  Aunque la película resulta predecible en algunos momentos, a mí me pareció entretenida y cumplió con su cometido. Me asustó, me intrigó y sobre todo me sorprendió con su final que no era lo que yo esperaba, tanto así que me hizo dudar mientras ocurría lo que ocurría, ¿será verdad? ¿será mentira? Así.

  De quien no me gustó mucho la actuación fue del que hizo del padre de Emma (Mckenna). En este caso le dieron el papel a Rob Lowe y pues no sé, me parece que le faltó más entrega, más emoción de su parte o en su defecto ser más dramático o mostrar más desesperación.

  Por otro lado, debo agregar que cuando me tomé mi tiempo para armar esta publicación, me topé con la puntuación del film en varias páginas de cine y la verdad no entiendo por qué tiene tan baja calificación si es realmente buena. Pienso que vale la pena darle una oportunidad para mirar algo entretenido que se puede considerar que está a la misma altura de actuación de La Huérfana con Isabelle Fuhrman.

  Y bueno, también admito que hubo ciertas escenas que me hizo preguntarme ¿cómo una niña pudo hacer tal cosa?, es decir, no tuvo mucha lógica, pero si la ven, me entenderán. Ahh y también hay una segunda parte llamada The Bad Seed Returns, que también estoy por verla, así que, por ahora, a este film lo recomiendo y le doy:
