Hello #MoviesAndTVShows moviegoers. Today I want to share a brief opinion about one of the year's most anticipated movies (even without knowing it was going to be made). Yes, it's strange, but that's not strange about Tim Burton's movies, especially the one I plan to talk to you a bit about today: Beetlejuice Beetlejuice.

  I've always been interested in the news of new releases in movies and TV series, and I'm one of those who likes to read news about them. So this post is special for me because it is the first one I dare to do under this theme, without the need to make a review or give a concise opinion of something I haven't seen yet.

  The movie is as much of a mystery so far as the character himself. I had no idea that Tim Burton was planning to release a sequel to that first film released in '88. That makes me wonder why now...why after 36 years does he decide to do that?

  I honestly remember very little of that 80's movie called Beetlejuice, it wasn't one of my favorites either, in fact, I found Michael Keaton's performance so shocking, pedantic and disgusting that the character itself of Bitelchús (nicknamed that way by the Spanish), I couldn't tolerate it.

  I remember I got to a point watching the movie of this iconic character where I despised him so much and it caused me an inexplicable repulsion that I just wanted to stop watching the film and I ended up doing it. Nowadays, learning that a new version of this movie or a sequel as such is coming out doesn't excite me.

  However, just because I don't like a film or a character doesn't mean I will stop watching it. I will give it a chance when the time comes and before doing so I will have to watch again that 1988 film that was so successful. Although my likes for this character along with his story are minimal, I wanted to make this post dedicated to those who are fans in this community.

  Since in one way or another it marked an era and the childhood of many here. Also, I would like to propose to some of you to let me know in the comments if you like this particular Burton movie or prefer other stories by him. As well as I would also like to see some videos of you making a reaction to the trailer of this future movie.

  I also want to leave you some curious facts about this film that is about to be released in September this year. Little is known about the plot of the movie, however, we will see some characters that remain from the first version, such as our main character Michael Keaton and the beautiful Winona Ryder.

  And if you remember the story of the first version, the movie is about a married couple who pass away and become ghosts, but resume their life in their old house and realize that it is inhabited by new tenants, so they decide to hire Beetlejuice to do his thing and scare away the new inhabitants of their Victorian house.

  For this new installment for some strange reason the family of Lydia (played again by Ryder) returns to their old Victorian house with her mother and daughter Astrid (played by Jenna Ortega) to do what? I don't know, what I do know is that Astrid discovers the old model where Bitelchús was summoned, and then it all begins.

  I imagine that the plot revolves around Bitelchús seeking to charm Lydia's daughter** into marrying him and developing the chaos he wanted to unleash in the 80s. But my intrigue remains the same, why now, why revisit this character after 36 long years?

  The answer I can come up with is because of the advance of technology. The computer special effects and of course the rise of artificial intelligence. That and the fact of wanting to retake a character as beloved and peculiar as Bitelchús was. For me it is something like saying that everything old comes back (at least with fashion), in this case, it seems to me that they are doing the same.

  I was particularly nostalgic to see certain characters again, but I was very impressed to learn that a new movie of that ghostly character will soon be released, and just by pronouncing his name three times, he would be summoned. For me, it's like reliving my childhood days and I'm almost sure that if this film is as successful as the first one, a third installment is sure to follow.

  What do I expect to see in this film? although the main character is not at all to my liking, I hope he keeps his essence and his peculiar grotesque personality that makes him Bitelchús. From Jenna Ortega I hope she doesn't give the same or similar performance as Merlina in this film. Although I loved seeing her as that character, this film is different from Merlina so her character doesn't have to look like her.

  I'll watch the movie to see Ryder as Lydia again, I liked her performance at that time and I'm even more intrigued to see her play the same character again after 36 long years. I know she will do excellent and I'm sure Burton will do a great job with the plot and special effects of the movie. Finally, I'll share with you the first official trailer of the film, which as you can see doesn't say much about what the movie will be about.

  Hola cinéfilos de #MoviesAndTVShows. El día de hoy quiero compartir una breve opinión acerca de una de las películas más esperadas del año (incluso sin saber que la iban a realizar). Si es algo extraño, pero ¿qué no es extraño en las películas de Tim Burton?, especialmente en la que les pienso hablar un poco hoy: Beetlejuice Beetlejuice.

  Siempre me han llamado la atención las noticias de nuevos estrenos en temas de películas y series de TV, y más que todo soy de las que le gusta leer noticias acerca de ellas. Así que este post resulta especial para mí porque es el primero que me atrevo a hacer bajo esta temática, sin necesidad de hacer un Review o dar una opinión concisa de algo que aún no he visto.

  La película es todo un misterio hasta el momento, como el mismo personaje en sí. De hecho, no tenía idea de que Tim Burton tenía planeado lanzar una secuela de aquella primera película estrenada en el 88. ¿Eso me hace plantearme la pregunta de por qué ahora? ¿por qué después de 36 años decide hacer eso?

  Honestamente recuerdo muy poco de aquella película de los 80 llamada Beetlejuice, tampoco fue una de mis favoritas, de hecho, la actuación de Michael Keaton me resultó tan chocante, pedante y asquerosa que el personaje en sí de Bitelchús (apodado así por los españoles), no lo toleraba.

  Recuerdo que llegué a un punto viendo la película de este icónico personaje en donde lo desprecié tanto y me causó una repulsión inexplicable que sólo quería dejar de ver el film y pues terminé haciéndolo. Hoy en día enterarme que saldría una nueva versión de esta película o una secuela como tal no me emociona en sí.

  Sin embargo, que no me guste una película o un personaje, no significa que la dejaré de ver. Le daré una oportunidad en su momento y antes de hacerlo deberé volver a ver aquel film de 1988 que tuvo tanto éxito. Aunque mis gustos por este personaje junto con su historia sean mínimos, quise hacer este post dedicado a los que son fan en esta comunidad.

  Ya que de una forma u otra marcó una época y la infancia de muchos aquí. Además, me gustaría proponer a algunos a que me dejen saber en los comentarios si realmente les gusta esta película particularmente de Burton o prefieren otras historias de él. Así como también me gustaría ver algunos videos de ustedes haciendo una reacción sobre el tráiler de esta futura película.

  Además quiero dejarles a ustedes algunos datos curiosos sobre este film que está próximo a estrenarse en septiembre de este año. Y es que poco se sabe sobre la trama en sí que tendrá la película, sin embargo, veremos algunos personajes que se mantienen desde la primera versión, como nuestro protagonista Michael Keaton y la hermosa Winona Ryder.

  Y si recuerdan la historia de la primera versión, la película trata de un matrimonio que fallece y se convierten en fantasmas, pero retoman su vida en su antigua casa y se dan cuenta que está habitada por nuevos inquilinos, por lo tanto, deciden contratar a Beetlejuice para que haga de las suyas y ahuyente a los nuevos habitantes de su casa victoriana.

  Para esta nueva entrega por alguna extraña razón la familia de Lydia (interpretada nuevamente por Ryder) regresa a su antigua casa victoriana con su madre y su hija Astrid (interpretada por Jenna Ortega) a hacer qué? no sé, lo que sí se es que Astrid descubre la antigua maqueta donde fue invocado Bitelchús y pues allí empieza todo.

  Yo me imagino que los tiros de la trama giran en torno a que Bitelchús busque encantar a la hija de Lydia para que se case con él y desarrollar aquel caos que quiso desatar en los años 80. Pero mi intriga sigue siendo la misma, ¿por qué ahora? ¿por qué volver a retomar este personaje después de 36 largos años?

  La respuesta a la que logro llegar es por el avance de la tecnología. Los efectos especiales en computadora y por supuesto por el auge de la inteligencia artificial. Eso y el hecho de querer retomar un personaje tan querido y peculiar como lo fue Bitelchús. Para mí es algo así como decir que todo lo viejo vuelve (al menos con la moda), en este caso me parece que están haciendo lo mismo.

  A mí particularmente me dio algo de nostalgia volver a ver ciertos personajes, pero me impresionó mucho enterarme que pronto se estrenará una nueva película de aquel fantasmagórico personaje que con tan sólo pronunciar tres veces su nombre aparecía invocado. Para mí es revivir un poco mis tiempos de infancia y estoy casi segura de que si este film llega a ser tan exitoso como el primero, vendrá una tercera entrega seguro.

  ¿Qué espero ver en este film? aunque el personaje principal no sea para nada de mi agrado, espero que mantenga su esencia y su peculiar personalidad grotesca que lo hace ser Bitelchús. De Jenna Ortega espero que no haga una actuación igual ni parecida a la de Merlina en este film. Aunque me encantó verla como ese personaje, esta película es totalmente diferente a Merlina así que su personaje no tiene por qué parecerse a ella.

  Básicamente veré la película por ver actuar nuevamente a Ryder como Lydia, me gustó mucho su actuación en aquella ocasión y me causa mucha más intriga verla actuar nuevamente su mismo personaje luego de 36 largos años. Sé que lo hará excelente y estoy segura de que Burton hará un trabajo grandioso con la trama y los efectos especiales de la película. Para terminar, les comparto el primer tráiler oficial del film que como verán no dice mucho de qué tratará la película en sí.
