I hope you are doing great, I very excited for this post as I will be telling you about the latest installment of the Bridgerton series, the story of Queen Charlotte. I must say that I have been delighted, per se I never believed that this type of period content will please me so much until @kiutvariedades and @eldiariodelys convinced me to watch Bridgerton season 1 and 2, I watched those two seasons in just one month and because I had little time 😂, but I really have been fascinated with all the history of the characters, messages and plots that the series develops in each chapter, and when I finished watching Queen Charlotte I can only tell you that the last chapter made me cry 😭. So well my readers, as in all my reviews I will have you a brief summary of the series and at the end my final comments about it 😉.

Our story begins with a young girl, Charlotte, being driven from a carriage from Germany, learning that she is engaged to be married to none other than the King of England, King George III. Charlotte being a young girl curious about science and dissatisfied that it is decided for her with whom she is to be united in marriage, she refuses until she is convinced that it is for the greater good of her country, her family and her own community. Upon arriving in England they are received by the royal servants where the future queen meets her faithful caretaker Brimsley who tells her that it is his duty to be the queen's man, to take care of her and follow her everywhere, Charlotte who is not used to the servitude finds it a little difficult to adapt to British customs, but what most afflicts her is not being able to meet the king until the moment of marriage and any question she asks about him is evaded. The said wedding day begins and in a fit of desperation Charlotte decides to hear about the wedding and she would have succeeded if it had not been for King George himself who seeks her out and introduces himself, apologizes for the inconvenience caused and gives her his confidence before they are consecrated in marriage, Charlotte believing that the king was a monster turns out to be a humble gentleman of the nobility, with values who makes himself known as a person and not as a king. When Charlotte gets married, she is delighted to meet and live the honeymoon with her new husband, not knowing that beyond the marriage agreed between the families, the crown and the king himself are hiding something that Charlotte would end up discovering later.

This Bridgerton's story undoubtedly left us many messages in each of its chapters and scenes, beyond the drama and speeches of the English era, politics, show us purely human realities and life that today in our times are seen, that is why this series has fascinated me and this part I will tell you what messages I could notice. The first main one is the message of how our social system forces and makes the people in charge of governing to act in the most inhuman or unmoral ways possible, allowing the decisions of a few to decide the destiny of many and at the same time this serves them to move pieces on their checkerboard if something does not suit them. But it is the same social and economic power that puts them in this position, as seen in the series, names, positions, titles and families matter depending on who you tell.

Another important aspect added to this is that not even the royal family itself was saved from manipulation, in the series we see how each royal character wants to do or live his full life without power because he must fulfill a duty first "to rule" that people and high officials see him and do not doubt his mettle to wear the crown, demonstrating that despite having all the luxuries they can not do what they want in themselves and that they are also people like you and me who end up getting used to lead a life like that but wishing they could do more without depending on a weight as the crown of an empire.

Something that should also result is the parallelism between the past and the present in the series, because while as viewers we see the past at the same time we are shown the present of the queen from where Bridgerton's 2nd season left off, and we see how she is now going through a bigger problem, the royal continuity of her husband's blood, where again we go back to the past as giving us to understand all that Charlotte had to go through, endure and endure to be the queen she is and the sacrifices she is willing to make to avoid that all her struggle as a young woman has been in vain.

Now last but not least I think the main message of the series is love from many perspectives, and it's funny because even in our times we have not been able to define in a stable concept that is love and the message of the series wraps it in many approaches that gives the human being and through which we go through. And it is that in the series love can not be more embodied as that commitment to which the person decided to be with you, having the total freedom to leave, to resign or opt for something else, but no, decided to stay there together sharing the road even knowing that in this at any time can be distanced as happened with King George and his strange disease, and at the same time love is that feeling that makes us make the decision to accept and give up certain things, to take something in exchange for the price of others, not only material things but aspects of our own life and for this we need maturity to assume it. Finally we see love in all shades and forms, each one not necessarily of royalty, having a family, house, children or property does not mean you are excluded from enjoying love, but if you know how to see well both will be in the same life🥺😭.

Espero se encuentren muy bien, yo muy emocionado por esta publicación ya que les comentaré sobre la última entrega de la serie de Bridgerton, la historia de la reina Charlotte. Debo decir que me he quedado encantado, de por sí nunca creí que este tipo de contenido de época me gustará tanto hasta que @kiutvariedades y @eldiariodelys me convencieron de ver Bridgerton la temporada 1 y 2, me ví esas dos temporadas en un solo mes y porque tuve poco tiempo 😂, pero de verdad me he quedado fascinado con toda la historia de los personajes, mensajes y tramas que desarrolla la serie en cada capítulo, y cuando termine de ver la Reina Charlotte solo puedo adelantarles que el último capítulo me hizo llorar 😭. Así que bueno mis lectores, como en todas mis reseñas les tendré un breve resumen de la serie y al final mis comentarios finales acerca de ella 😉.

Nuestra historia comienza con una niña Charlotte encaminada desde un carruaje desde Alemania enterándose que está comprometida en matrimonio con nada más y nada menos con el rey de Inglaterra el Rey George III. Charlotte siendo una joven niña curiosa de la ciencia y desconforme de que se decida por ella con quien debe unirse en matrimonio reniega hasta que se le convence de que es por un buen mayor por su país, por su familia y por su propia comunidad. Al llegar Inglaterra son recibidos por los sirvientes reales dónde la futura reina conoce a su fiel cuidador Brimsley quien le cuenta que su deber ser el hombre de la reina, cuidarla y seguirla a todas partes, Charlotte quien no esta acostumbrada a la servidumbre le cuesta un poco adaptarse a las costumbres británicas, pero lo que más la aqueja es el no poder conocer al rey sino al momento de casarse y cualquier pregunta que hace sobre el es evadida. El dicho día de la boda comienza y un ataque de desesperación Charlotte decidí oír de la boda y lo habría conseguido sino hubiese sido por el mismo rey George quien la busca y se presenta, se disculpa por las molestias causadas y le brinda de su confianza antes de consagrarse en matrimonio, Charlotte creyendo que el rey era todo un monstruo resulta ser todo un caballero humilde de la nobleza, con valores quien se da a conocer como una persona y no como un rey. Al casarse Charlotte está encantada de conocer y vivir la luna de miel con su nuevo esposo recién conocido, sin saber que más allá del matrimonio acordado entre las familias, la corona y el mismo rey ocultan algo en que Charlotte terminaría descubriendo más adelante.

Está historia de los Bridgerton sin duda nos dejó muchos mensajes en cada uno de sus capítulos y escenas, más allá del drama y los discursos de la época inglesa, la política, nos muestran realidades netamente humanas y de la vida que al sol de hoy de nuestros tiempos se ven, es por eso que esta serie me ha fascinado y esta parte te diré que mensajes pude notar. El primero principal es el mensaje de como nuestro sistema social obliga y hace actuar a las personas que están encargadas de gobernar hasta de las maneras más inhumanas o poco morales posibles, permitiendo que las decisiones de unos pocos decidan el destino de muchos y a la vez esto les sirva para mover piezas en su tablero de fichas si algo no les conviene. Pero es el mismo poder social y económico quien los coloca en esta posición, como se ve en la serie, los nombres, cargos, títulos y familias importan según a quien se lo digas.

Otro aspecto importante aunado a esto es que ni la misma familia real estaba a salvó de manipulación, en la serie vemos como cada personaje de la realeza quiere hacer o vivir su vida plena sin poder porque debe cumplir con un deber primero “gobernar” que la gente y los altos cargos lo vean y no duden de su templeza para llevar la corona, demostrando que a pesar de tener todo los lujos no pueden hacer lo que quieren en si y que también son personas como tú y como yo que terminan acostumbradose a llevar a una vida así pero deseando poder hacer más sin depender de un peso como la corona de un imperio.
