The movie Titanic almost made me cry.

Hello, everyone.

Welcome to my blog and another wonderful edition of the Hive Learners' featured post. I am not the emotional type, and sometimes I wonder why people cry when seeing an emotional movie. I do enjoy movies, but I am hardly moved by whatever happens in the movie. I watched Oliver Twist once, and my mom was moved by how he suffered. I watched for fun and was not feeling it the way my mom was feeling.

The truth is, no matter how hardened you might be, there's a movie out there that will get you touched but you just haven't seen it. Even if you don't cry over the movie, it changes your mood, and you feel sad because of the turn of events in the movie.

I enjoy scary movies too, but I am yet to see one that will get me terrified, and I'd start seeing the characters in places they are not. I watched the conjuring with my younger sister some years ago, and she was asked to go get food from the kitchen only for her to run out saying that she could see the little girl in the kitchen. We all laughed at her, and someone else had to help her get her food since she refused to go into the kitchen.

I used to claim a movie couldn't make me emotional since it's all acting until I was opportuned to watch the movie Titanic, which was based on a true life story. Jack, who was poor, boarded the ship with Rose, whose family was wealthy. They both fell in love with each other, and as expected, Rose's family did not approve of their relationship, but Rose chose Jack and was willing to do everything for him.

Rose was already engaged to her wealthy fiancee, Cal, just like her parents wanted, but with Jack coming into the picture, everything will be jeopardized. Rose wanted Jack while her parents wanted her to marry Cal, and they had to do everything to keep him away from their daughter, including locking him up.

One night the captain and his crew got carried away looking at Rose and Jack do their lovey-dovey thing, and the ship hit an iceberg in the middle of the ocean, which caused a lot of damage and gave water access into the ship. They tried to contain it, but it just wasn't possible, and an evacuation of the ship took place, starting with women and children. Rose was already on a life boat, but she jumped off it to go help Jack because he was locked up and cuffed to a bar.

She got there and helped him out, but the ship was already sinking and was already out of life boats. The ship sank, but they were able to get a floating board for one, and Jack let Rose stay on the board while he remained in the water. Hours later, he died from the freezing cold. She thought he was still with her, but he was long gone. Her reactions when she realized he was dead got to me, and I almost cried with her at that point. The number of deaths recorded at the sinking of the Titanic ship was quite a loss, but a few made it out on a life boat including Rose who was lucky one boat came back for survivors.

Thanks for reading my post.

We all grew up hearing about this movie and I would agree that it is one of the most perfect movies

Titanic movie is legendary, is the kind of movie that was a privilege for our generation to witness. It is not a kind of movie you would not feel teary. I love the making of that movie, I wouldn't say I enjoy the ending I wish jack could have survived but it is what it is 😅

really titanic? hehehe
Titanic was interesting, I watched it in the movie theatres, I am old...
I remember at the time the girls getting crazy with Leo di Caprio, it was his boom as an actor, for me he improved a lot after this movie.
Good to bring back this oldie :)

I heard that the story about the titanic ship happened in real life.
The owner of the ship said something like 'even God cannot sink the ship. I don't know how true the story is tho.

It is indeed a good movie, an emotional one too.

Titanic is on a whole different level when it comes to tragic movies. I watched it for the first time around 4 years ago and that was the first movie that made me very emotional. I guess what even made it worse was realizing that the movie is based on a true life story

I remember this how it made people curious to know about the giant titanic. It was about sea exploration to solve the biggest adventure through a romantic well craftedvromantic storyline

Bro! The ending part of this movie almost made me cry. My sisters and mom cried! This movie is a masterpiece. I’ve seen this movie more than 3 times. The first time I watched it was during my primary school days.

Titanic! One of those iconic movies almost everyone saw while growing up🥹. The movie was so good—the cinematography, the story line, the music. As beautiful as love can be, it is always good to be logical sometimes. Maybe or maybe not, but then, I feel like jack would have had a chance at survival if rose had gone with the life boat. Man is a proper hustler and would have done his best to stay alive.

It was really good, regardless. Sad love stories hits differently.
