Hola de nuevo! Hoy les traigo un post bastante genial que será el comienzo de una serie de post donde hablaré de varias películas de Disney Channel que seguramente varios vimos, pero que no las recordamos. Este canal ha hecho muchísimas películas que han sido conocidas como High School Musical, Camp Rock, Cheetah Girls y las más actuales son Descendientes y Teen Beach Movie. Estas películas son muy conocidas por el público del canal, pero hay muchas otras películas que pasaron desapercibidas por la mayoría de nosotros, capaz opacadas por la fama de las películas nombradas. Sin embargo, recordar estas películas personalmente me trae nostalgia de cuando disfrutaba ver estas películas juveniles, comencemos!
Hello again! Today I come with a pretty cool post that will be the beginning of a series of posts where I will talk about several Disney Channel movies that many of us surely saw, but don't remember them. This channel has made a lot of movies that have been known as High School Musical, Camp Rock, Cheetah Girls and the most current ones are Descendants and Teen Beach Movie. These movies are well known by the channel's audience, but there are many other movies that went unnoticed by most of us, able to be overshadowed by the fame of the named movies. However, remembering these movies personally brings back nostalgia of when I enjoyed watching these teen movies, let's go!
Pixelada Perfecta
Esta es una de las películas que más recuerdo, sin embargo muchas personas que conozco no la recordaban y algunos simplemente no la vieron. Esta película del año 2004 narra la historia de Roscoe, un nerd de la tecnología que tiene una mejor amiga llamada Samantha la cual tiene una pequeña banda que intenta tener éxito, pero les cuesta mucho. Samantha necesita una vocalista para su banda Roscoe como el genio que es, crea una especia de holograma super realista llamada Loretta, la cual baila y canta increíble. Gracias a Loretta la banda logra tener mucho éxito, pero a lo largo de la historia surgen muchos problemas, uno es que Samantha se pone celosa de Loretta, y Roscoe comienza a tener sentimientos por Loretta a pesar de saber que ella solo sea un holograma, y ya que es su creación puede hacerla a molde de ser su chica ideal. La película se aventura en mostrar como los personajes llegan a tener sentimientos por el holograma, así sean negativos o positivos, y como deben lidiar con ello, además de que Loretta a pesar de saber que es una creación holográfica, siente una especie de curiosidad por los sentimientos y sensaciones humanas. Es una película entretenida con una trama peculiar, y aunque no es muy famosa, tiene canciones chéveres, realmente es una película disfrutable.
This is one of the movies that I remember the most, but many people I know didn't remember it and some just didn't see it. This 2004 movie tells the story of Roscoe, a tech nerd who has a best friend named Samantha who has a small band that is trying to succeed, but they are having a hard time. Samantha needs a vocalist for her band. Roscoe, being the genius that he is, creates a sort of super realistic hologram called Loretta, who dances and sings amazingly. Thanks to Loretta the band manages to be very successful, but throughout the story many problems arise, one is that Samantha becomes jealous of Loretta, and Roscoe begins to have feelings for Loretta despite knowing that she is only a hologram, and since she is his creation he can make her into a mold to be his ideal girl. The film ventures to show how the characters come to have feelings for the hologram, whether negative or positive, and how they must deal with it, plus Loretta, despite knowing that she is a holographic creation, feels a kind of curiosity for human feelings and sensations. It is an entertaining movie with a peculiar plot, and although it is not very famous, it has cool songs, it is really an enjoyable movie.
Un chiflado encantador
Esta película fue estrenada en el año 2011 y aunque ya era una adolescente en el momento en el que se estrenó, no niego que disfrutaba de ver esta película y me trae buenos recuerdos. La historia gira entorno de Dylan, una chica popular, bonita y creída que solo se preocupa por ser la reina florida de su escuela secundaria, teniendo el novio más guapo, las amigas más populares y además de tener las cosas más obstentosas. El otro protagonista es Josh, un chico nerd fanático del cine que aspira ser director, y no es para nada popular. Por cosas de la vida la vida de ambos chocan, ya que Josh quiere hacer un documental sobre la popularidad y la protagonista perfecta es Dylan, por lo que la chica acepta encantada porque le encanta ser la protagonista. A lo largo de su convivencia se van haciendo amigos, y Josh nota que Dylan muestra una fachada para ser la chica popular, ya que ella también es una nerd, le encanta la ciencia y es bastante inteligente, además de ser una persona sensible que oculta sus inseguridades con esa fachada de chica creída y popular. Josh poco a poco deja de lado la idea de hacer el documental burlándose de la popularidad, y comienza a irse por narrar como es Dylan en su día a día como una chica realmente genuina y buena. Ambos llegan a tener problemas, pero aprenden a lidiar con ellos porque ambos ya se conocen por como son y se aceptan, lo cual lo hace bonito en cierto modo. Es una película de amor adolescente cliché de Disney, pero la verdad es entretenida de ver.
This movie was released in 2011 and even though I was already a teenager at the time it was released, I don't deny that I enjoyed watching this movie and it brings back good memories. The story revolves around Dylan, a popular, pretty and stuck up girl who only cares about being the flower queen of her high school, having the hottest boyfriend, the most popular friends and also having the most stubborn things. The other main character is Josh, a nerdy movie fan boy who aspires to be a director, and is not popular at all. As life happens, their lives collide, since Josh wants to make a documentary about popularity and the perfect protagonist is Dylan, so the girl accepts delighted because she loves to be the main character. Along their time together they become friends, and Josh notices that Dylan shows a facade to be the popular girl, since she is also a nerd, loves science and is quite intelligent, besides being a sensitive person who hides her insecurities with that facade of a popular girl. Josh gradually leaves aside the idea of making the documentary making fun of popularity, and begins to go for narrating how Dylan is in her day to day life as a really genuine and good girl. They both come to have problems, but learn to deal with them because they both already know each other for who they are and accept each other, which makes it cute in a way. It's a cliché Disney teen love movie, but it's actually entertaining to watch.
Wendy Wu, la chica Kung Fu
No recuerdo si en su momento llegué a hablar de esta película pero igualmente hablaré de ella porque era una película que en su momento me gustaba mucho. Esta película estrenada en el año 2006 narra la histoia de Wendy, una chica de familia china que vive una vida normal como una de las chicas más populares de la escuela que, como es costumbre en todas estas películas, quiere ser la reina del baile. Sin embargo todo da un giro repentino cuando un monje budista con aspecto juvenil llamado Shen va hasta su casa y la busca ya que es la reencarnación de una guerrera llamada Yin y debe vencer a toda costa a un ente maligno llamado Yan Lo. Al principio Wendy lo niega rotundamente, pero debido a que debe aprender de la historia de su propio país para una clase de su escuela, la cual desconoce, accede en entrenar con Shen para vencer a Yan Lo. A partir de allí Wendy y Shen además de entrenar, aprenden mucho el uno del otro, Wendy a pelear y tener paciencia y Shen a ser un joven normal, pero todo esto es obstaculizado por Yan Lo que mediante un objeto chino comienza a poseer los cuerpos de las personas que rodean a Wendy.
Nuestra protagonista parece estar lista para luchar, además de estar feliz con la compañía de Shen, pero descubre que además de que la batalla es el mismo día del baile, Shen debe cumplir con el destino de sacrificarse por la guerrera, cosa que a Wendy no le agrada para nada y se niega a ir. Todo esto hace que a pesar de las dificultades, los protagonistas reflexionen y tengan una buena pelea con el villano principal el cual es bastante poderoso, y poder cumplir con la misión que tenía Wendy desde que nació. Realmente me parecía en su momento una película bastante emocionante ya que me encantaban las películas que tuviesen KungFu, además de tener una trama diferente a lo que Disney está acostumbrado, mezclado con los clichés de películas adolescentes que aunque sean repetitivos, eran divertidos de ver en su momento.
I don't remember if I talked about this movie at the time but I will talk about it anyway because it was a movie that I really liked then. This movie released in 2006 tells the story of Wendy, a girl from a Chinese family who lives a normal life as one of the most popular girls in school who, as usual in all these movies, wants to be the prom queen. However, everything takes a sudden turn when a youthful-looking Buddhist monk named Shen comes to her house and seeks her out because she is the reincarnation of a warrior named Yin and must defeat an evil entity named Yan Lo at all costs. At first Wendy denies it outright, but because she must learn about the history of her own country for a class at her school, which she does not know, she agrees to train with Shen to defeat Yan Lo. From then on Wendy and Shen, besides training, learn a lot from each other, Wendy to fight and be patient and Shen to be a normal young man, but all this is hindered by Yan Lo who, by means of a Chinese object, begins to possess the bodies of the people around Wendy.
Our protagonist seems to be ready to fight, besides being happy with Shen's company, but she discovers that in addition to the fact that the battle is the same day of the dance, Shen must fulfill the destiny of sacrificing himself for the warrior, which Wendy does not like at all and refuses to go. All this makes that despite the difficulties, the protagonists reflect and have a good fight with the main villain who is quite powerful, and to fulfill the mission that Wendy had since she was born. It really seemed to me at the time a pretty exciting movie since I loved movies that had KungFu, besides having a different plot to what Disney is used to, mixed with the clichés of teen movies that although repetitive, were fun to watch at the time.

Estas películas de Disney Channel me gustaban mucho en su momento, comenzaré a hacer una serie de estos posts porque hay muchas películas de este canal que seguramente no muchos recuerdan. Estas que nombré hoy son las que tenía más presentes en mi memoria, pero les cuento que mientras investigaba sobre estas pelis descubrí muchas otras que había olvidado y me encantaría hablarles de las mismas. Creo que tengo vagos recuerdos de algunas de esas peliculas, aunque las pelis de disney no me llamaron mucho la atención, apuesto a que mi hermana menor podrí encantarles. Excelente post, me gustó mucho.

La primera no la recordaba hasta que ví las imágenes y llegaron todos mis recuerdos de repente 😅. Era una historia súper entretenida al igual que la de Wendy, que esa sí la recordaba claramente porque en serio me gustaba un montón. Ambas películas geniales.
La otra no la llegué a ver pero seguramente era buena también
