How To Get Away With Murder: Twists, Secrets, and Lies
This year, I’ve watched a number of shows and this show would be one of the best I have seen in the year. I literally watched this show in about a week cos i couldn’t get myself to stop thinking about what was going to happen next.
I didn’t think crime shows were really my thing but surprise! We find out more about ourselves everyday. But hey, if you hate blood, this show is probably not for you. Now, let’s dive in.
The show starts with Viola Davis playing the role of Annalise Keating, a lawyer who teaches in a university. As a teacher , she loved to challenge her students and planned on selecting the top 5 students in her class to work on some of her cases with her.
For the start, everything was fine as these students were still under her review and being challenged to top the class so as to be part of the Keating 5. Eventually, we get our Keating 5 and that’s where the whole deaths begin starting with the death of Annalise Keating’s husband which was a mistake.
Annalise who was innocent and never committed murder throughout the 6 seasons of the show constantly kept her life on the line to protect her students and colleagues. Funny enough, most of these deaths were tied to her when the only thing she did was making sure to constantly keep her students and clients out of jail up until the very end.
Personally, I would rate this show a 10/10 because everything was on point. The plot was great, the characters performed exceptionally well and you just couldn’t seem to get away from this show until you know you’ve exhausted it all.
This show taught me what it meant to love someone and be a mentor. Annalise was more of a mentor to these students she took under her wings to nurture. And knowing how wicked the world was, she never gave up on these students even though they might have done bad stuff along the line. She constantly kept giving them the benefit of the doubt and so many second chances.
This isn’t something we see often as everyone is looking out for themselves. I also learnt that, no matter what you do, some people are just not going to like you and would constantly try their best to bring you down. The road to greatness isn’t easy and we need to keep pushing forward regardless.
This show is one I would recommend to everyone out there. If you have nothing to do during the holidays, you know what to do now!
I have seen so many people talk about this serious and how crazy it is
I tried watching it on TikTok
Just short scenes and I think I get it already but I might really have to watch it this time 🥲🥲
I also lack time, I hope I will be able to this holiday
I'm still yet to read the actual book, so I'm waiting till I read it before I even think of the movie. Books are always better, but I really hope the movie blows my mind as well.

Two contrasting lessons here and that's really on point. The theme of love and hatred..
Annalise not giving up on her students and giving them several second chances no matter what mistakes they made.
No matter what you do some people are just not going to like you and would constantly try their best to bring you down
These two themes has really made life complicated. May we be loved and have the strength to deal when we are hated..
Nice review 🤗🤗🤗
