I agree with everything you said. McAvoy was absolutely incredible in this but the film overall was kind of stupid. I am going to seek out the original because I hear good things.

At least it leads to a gem, because I didnt know the existence of the OG movie, Im planing on watching both back to back in the upcoming days for a straight up comparison 😅✌️

have you seen the OG? OMG you have to see that. I just finished it and it was powerful enough that I felt compelled to write back to you immediately.

Even if you just watch the last 30 minutes I promise it is worth your time. The rest of the story remains largely the same with the little girl and her stupid doll causing all the problems etc. I'm not going to spoil it but man, get in there and watch that.

After seeing it I can totally understand why Hollywood thought they could do a remake... and then make it worse.
