My Top 10 Worst K-drama: Part 2 / Maniacal Series Review and Critique [En-Es]
It is true that a story can surprise you, but it can also make you feel that it is not worth watching. It's ironic, it's unexpected, and it's also surprising. When you watch a series, you don't expect it to leave a bitter taste in your throat. This can happen, and it has happened to me with K-dramas. In this second part of this top 10, I will write about the stories that didn't even cause a small millisecond of interest on my part.

Es cierto que una historia puede sorprenderte, pero también hacerte sentir que no vale la pena verle. Es irónico, es inesperado y además sorpresivo. Cuando reproduces una serie no te esperas que pueda dejarte un sabor amargo en la garganta. Esto puede pasar y me ha ocurrido con los K-dramas. En esta segunda parte de este top 10 escribiré sobre las historias que ni siquiera causaron una pequeña milésima de interés de mi parte.

Rank number 05: Touch Your Heart
A TVN production that is plastic, hollow and lacking in eloquence. These are the right words to define a story where the protagonists try their best, but show a void that cannot be filled by the absence of something: Connection. I see this series as a bad choice by TVN, the actors who played the lead roles had already acted in the popular K-drama Goblin, and their relationship would unfortunately be boring or rather repetitive.
Lee Dong Wook is one of South Korea's best actors, it was very hard to bear watching this series, as it was not at all shocking. Even his character was very empty. Also, Yoo In Na looks very stiff and not at all loose in her leading role.
Plot: Oh Yoon Seo (Yoo In Na) is forced to work for a lawyer who appears to be cruel, stiff and cold in order to get an acting role in a series. The lawyer is Kwon Jung Rok (Lee Dong Wook) who is forced to work with an actress he thinks is artificial. What will happen? Will they fall in love? Episodes: 16. Available on Rakuten Viki. Puesto número 05: Touch Your Heart
Una producción de TVN plástica, hueca y sin elocuencia. Estas son las palabras correctas para definir una historia donde los protagonistas lo intentan todo, pero demuestran un vacío que no se puede llenar por la ausencia de algo: Conexión. Veo esta serie como una mala opción de TVN, los actores que efectuaron su protagónico ya venían de actuar del popular K-drama Goblin y su relación lamentablemente sería aburrida o más bien repetitiva.
Lee Dong Wook es uno de los mejores actores de corea del Sur, fue muy difícil soportar ver esta serie, ya que no era para nada impactante. Incluso su personaje fue muy vacío. Además, Yoo In Na se ve muy rígida y sin nada de soltura en su protagónico.
Argumento: Oh Yoon Seo (Yoo In Na) se ve obligada a trabajar para un abogado que aparenta ser cruel, rígido y frío para poder obtener un papel actoral en una serie. El abogado es Kwon Jung Rok (Lee Dong Wook) quien se ve forzado a trabajar con una actriz que él cree que es artificial. ¿Qué pasará? ¿Se enamorarán? Episodios: 16. Disponible en Rakuten Viki. Calificación: 02/10.
Number 04: Money Heist: Korea
This is one of Netflix's worst bets, a Korean-style remake that you can't even stand. The story is terrible, boring, and, above all, repetitive. The only interesting context is the reunification of the peninsula; however, its critique of the capitalist model is trite, bland and repetitive. One factor that does not work in the series' favor is the very way it follows the original script of the Spanish story, which, by the way, I never liked.
Actress Jeon Jong-seo shows some strength in her character, but this is not enough to keep the viewer entertained until the end.
Plot: As South and North Korea issue a peace treaty and reunify, the average North Korean suffers the consequences of the backwardness, discrimination and economic deprivation they experienced before. Only North Korean politicians have profited after reunification, so Tokyo (Jeon Jong-seo) along with other henchmen from the "Professor's" team attack the Korean bank and issue money to change their history. Episodes: 12. Available on Netflix. Rated 01/10.
Puesto número 04: Money Heist: Korea
Esta es una de las peores apuesta de Netflix, un remake al estilo coreano que no se puede ni siquiera soportar. La historia es realmente mala, aburrida y, sobre todas las cosas, repetitiva. El único contexto interesante es la reunificación de la península; sin embargo, su crítica al modelo capitalista es trillada, sosa y repetitiva. Un factor que no juega a favor de la serie es la propia forma que sigue el guion original de la historia española, que por cierto nunca me gustó.
La actriz Jeon Jong-seo muestra algo de fuerza en su personaje, pero esto no es suficiente para mantener al espectador entretenido hasta el final.
Argumento: Corea del Sur y Corea del norte emiten un tratado de paz y se reunifican, los norcoreanos promedios sufren las consecuencias del atraso, discriminación y carencias económicas que vivían anteriormente. Solamente los políticos norcoreanos se han lucrado luego de la reunificación, es así como Tokyo (Jeon Jong-seo) junto a otros secuaces del equipo del “Profesor” atacan el banco de Corea y emiten dinero para cambiar su historia. Rank number 03: Tale of Fairy
One of the worst stories there is. A continued lack of plot, a lackluster fantasy, and a deplorable adaptation that doesn't mesh with the acting sequence. In the end, it is a dull, shapeless and objective K-drama. The only highlights are the performances of the main characters, the rest is a heartbreaking and incomprehensible plot.
I watched this series only because of the actor Yoon Hyun Min, but I think it was a bad decision on his part to act in it. It's a project that fails to connect even with the script or the imagery of the drama.
Plot: A Fairy came down from the sky and was bathing in a stream of a river. The poor Fairy has had something stolen from her, and that something is the only thing that allows her to return to heaven, where her family is. She falls in love with a human, he dies drastically, and hundreds of years pass until two boys appear in her life. Who is or will be her great love? Episodes: 16. Available on Rakuten Viki. Puesto número 03: Tale of Fairy
Una de las peores historias que pueden existir. Una carencia argumental continuada, una fantasía poco lucida y además una adaptación deplorable que no se acopla con la secuencia actoral. A modo de ver, es un K-drama aburrido, sin forma y sin objetividad. Lo único destacable son las actuaciones de los protagonistas, lo demás es un desgarrador e inentendible argumento.
Vi esta serie únicamente por el actor Yoon Hyun Min, pero creo que fue una mala decisión de su parte actuar en ella. Es un proyecto que no logra conectar ni siquiera con el guion o las imágenes del drama.
Argumento: Un Hada bajó del cielo y se bañaba en un arroyo de un río. La pobre Hada le han robado algo, ese algo es lo único que le permite regresar al cielo donde está su familia. Se enamora de un humano, este muere drásticamente y pasan cientos de años hasta que dos chicos aparecen en su vida. ¿Quién de ellos es o será su gran amor? Episodios: 16. Disponible en Rakuten Viki. Calificación: 0.5/10
Rank number 02: Sisyphus: The Myth
This is a JTBC production and one of the most deplorable I've seen so far. Well, I couldn't even bear to get to chapter 4. I think that was enough evidence to decide that the K-drama is one of the worst productions Park Shin Hye has ever acted in. Unfortunately, the drama is very slow, convoluted, clunky, and, above all, boring. The focus theme of the story was not taken advantage of, and the worst thing about it is that the protag, i.e., the millionaire man of the series, does not match the beauty of actress Park. The other issue I didn't like is that you don't understand the series, nor does it have an immediate hook that makes you stick around to watch it.
I'm not against actor Cho Seung Woo's performance, but the truth is that the plot of the K-drama is very empty and unintelligible.
Plot: Kang Seo Hae (Park Shin Hye) and Han Tae Sool (Cho Seung Woo) meet in a time travel scenario. Han Tae Sool is a successful engineer and creator of the technology that will allow something unique to mankind, but also its end. However, Kang Seo Hae will try everything to change history, even though there are many who will try to prevent him from doing so. Episodes: 16. Available on Netflix. Rating: 0.2/10.
Puesto número 02: Sisyphus: The Myth
Esta es una producción efectuada por JTBC y es una de las más deplorables que he visto hasta ahora. Bueno, no soporté llegar ni al capítulo número 4. Creo que fue suficiente con todo lo que evidencia para decidir que el K-drama es una de las peores producciones en donde Park Shin Hye ha actuado. Lamentablemente, el drama es muy lento, enredado, tosco y, sobre todo, aburrido. El tema de enfoque de la historia no fue aprovechado, y lo peor del caso es que el protagónico, es decir, el hombre millonario de la serie, no encaja con la belleza de la actriz Park. El otro tema que no me gustó es que no se entiende la serie, y tampoco tiene un gancho inmediato que haga quedarte al verla.
No estoy en contra de la actuación del actor Cho Seung Woo, pero la verdad es que la trama del K-drama es muy vacía e inentendible.
Argumento: Kang Seo Hae (Park Shin Hye) y Han Tae Sool (Cho Seung Woo) se encuentran en un escenario de viajes en el tiempo, Han Tae Sool es un ingeniero exitoso y creador de la tecnología que permitirá algo único a la humanidad, pero también su final. Sin embargo, Kang Seo Hae intentará todo para cambiar la historia, a pesar de que existan muchos que intentarán evitarlo. Episodios: 16. Disponible en Netflix. Calificación: 0.2/10.
Rank number 01: Tempted / / The Great Seducer
If you want to see a bad k-drama, Tempted is the worst of the worst. When I say it's the worst in the industry, I mean because of its script, the performance of the main character, and the attempt at eroticism that comes to nothing. For me, it's the worst k-drama I've seen so far. The plot fails to shock and entertain. There is something within the scenes that describes it as slow, empty and lacking a powerful message.
The performances of idol and actress Joy make the story uninteresting, unengaging and detached from the viewer. It was a mistake that she shared the lead role with actors such as Woo Do-hwan, Mun Ka-Young and Kim Min-jae.
Plot: Kwon Shi-Hyun (Woo Do-Hwan) is popular, a boy who has everything and shines around everyone, but he is empty inside. He makes a bet with his two friends that he must win Eun Tae-Hee (Joy). A bet where fun can destroy the protagonist emotionally. Episodes: 32. Available on Prime Video. Rating: 0/10.
Puesto número 01: Tempted / The Great Seducer
Si quieres ver un k-drama malo, ese sin lugar a dudas es Tempted, es lo peor de lo peor. Cuando digo que es lo peor de la industria, lo digo por su guion, la actuación de la protagonista y el intento de erotismo que no llega a nada. Es para mí el peor k-drama que he visto hasta ahora. La trama no logra impactar y entretener. Hay algo dentro de las escenas que la describen como lenta, vacía y carente de un mensaje impactante.
Las actuaciones de la ídolo y actriz Joy provocan que la historia no interese, no compacte y además se separe del espectador. Un desacierto que ella compartiera protagónico con actores como Woo Do-hwan, Mun Ka-Young y Kim Min-jae.
Argumento: Kwon Shi-Hyun (Woo Do-Hwan) es popular, un chico que lo tiene todo y brilla alrededor de todas las personas; pero está vacio por dentro. Éste chico hace una apuesta con sus dos amigos donde debe conquistar a Eun Tae-Hee (Joy). Una apuesta donde la diversión puede destruir emocionalmente a los protagonistas. Episodios: 32. Sabía que esa versión de La casa de papel no iba a ser una buena idea, menos todavía cuando la otra sigue vigente. Es como que da curiosidad verla pero al mismo tiempo se siente repetitivo.
Los demás no los vi, así que no puedo opinar de ellos, pero me gustó este top a la inversa jajaja. Saludos!
Es una versión muy mala, bueno, nunca me gusto la casa de papel. La serie realmente tiene un argumento reiterado y aburrido. A mi no me gustó.
Si te gusta ver buenos doramas te recomiendo te veo en mi vida 19 es un dorama bastante sentido que te toque el corazón y sobre todo que tienes soundtrack sumamente precioso.
